In the second part of Project Restoration, I use Meguiars Super Degreaser along with some paint brushes to detail the engine bay of the Golf. I remove all of the grease under the engine bay and show you exly how I do it. \r

DISCLAIMER: If you want to do this to your car and you have a Cold Air Intake or a Short Ram Intake, cover the intake in a plastic grocery bag to protect the internals of the engine. Also, it might be a bit easier if you are working on a warm engine, so let the engine run and get hot, and then let it sit for 15 minutes before you work on it. This will help the grease loosen up and make your life a bit easier. Whatever you do, do not start cleaning your engine while it is still running. If your cars intake sucks in a bit of water, you WILL 100% kill your engine. \r

I know there are going to people that will comment and say that the engine bay isnt supposed to get wet, youre an idiot, youre going to kill your engine. Well think of this, what do you think happens to the engine bay when it rains? Do you think it stays dry? Because the bottom side of the engine where the oil pan is, isnt sealed, the engine bay will get wet all of the time. Engineers design engine bays, including all of the electrical components, to be water restistant, including all connections, so it is perfectly safe to do this to your car. \r

How to Replace a Honda VTEC Solenoid Gasket
Heres how to replace a leaking or clogged VTEC solenoid and gasket on the 2.4L 4 cylinder K24 engine.\r
\r
Leaking a leaking VTEC gasket or clogged/malfunctioning VTEC uator are a common problem on older Hondas. The VTEC solenoid mounts to the engine head, and allows the flow of oil into small passages that change the camshaft profiles, causing the engine to perform faster.\r
\r
This is not to be confused with the VTC solenoid, which advances or retards the variable valve timing gear to change engine timing. A video on VTC solenoid replacement can be found here:\r

If your Honda is leaking oil down the passenger side of the engine, the most probable cause is a leaking VTEC solenoid. Oil will drip from the top, down over the oil filter and the side of the drain pan, and in some cases onto the subframe. Significant oil loss can be observed, along with a P1259 VTEC malfunction code.\r
\r
This tutorial demonstrates how to replace the VTEC solenoid and gasket. The gasket itself has a strainer that can sometimes get clogged. This procedure will be applicable to the Acura TSX, Honda Accord, Honda CR-V and Element.\r
\r
Three 10mm bolts secure the VTEC solenoid to the back of the engine, toward the firewall. It can be accessed from both the top or bottom of the engine. Have a catch pan ready to drain access oil once the bolts are removed. The oil pressure switch is also part of the solenoid assembly.\r
\r
Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly, before reinstalling the gasket dry. Torque the three 10mm bolts to 104 in-lb. Top off the engine oil and start the vehicle. Once the engine is warm, check for leaks.Ver video "How to Replace a Honda VTEC Solenoid Gasket"

Las marcas japonesas llaman en masa a reparar el airbag de sus vehículos
Los japoneses Honda, Nissan y Mazda llaman a reparar una parte importante de sus vehículos, como ya hizo Toyota, por defectos en el airbag. La mayor cantidad corresponde a Honda, con dos millones de sus modelos Fit y Accord construidos entre agosto de 2000 y diciembre de 2005. La mitad de las llamadas se producen en Estados Unidos. En el caso de Nissan, son 750.000 vehículos tambien en varias regiones del mundo. Y en el de Mazda, son 150.000.
A principios de marzo, Toyota realizó una operación parecida con más de dos milones de unidades a causa de la bolsa de aire del airbarg que puede ser defectuosa y llegar incluso a incendiarse. Cooler Master MasterMouse S Review (with updated cable)
3330 optical sensor, Omron switches, small-medium ambidextrous design, buttons on the left side only and only about 93g. this mouse is amazing in so many ways, but could definitely be improved.\r

Ive waited this long to review it because they really needed to fix the cable. and unfortunately the copies with the bad cable are still out there somewhere, so make sure you can get a return if you do get one. I dont know when were expecting to see the ones with the new cable in stores.\r

For my hand size (18x9cm), this is amazing. I can aim extremely well, but the quality is lacking so Im still a bit torn between it and the Zowie FK2.\r

This is cheaper though, so if you can find one with a fixed cable and maybe get some replacement mouse feet (so you can remove the weight inside of it), then this could be an awesome option. The cable is still a bit stiff, but its workable, eventually.\r

Regarding the MasterMouse S Lite. sensor isnt good enough unfortunately. I have already taken a look at that in the MasterKeys Lite combo review.\r
