Storm Uproots Trees and Damages Property in Seville
A storm uprooted trees and damaged property in Seville, Spain, on Thursday, April 12.
Winds of up to 75 km/h (46 mph) were recorded in the neighborhood of Triana, according to local news reports. Some meteorologists said there was a tornado, but this classification was disputed by local weather observatory El Tiempo Sevilla.
This video shows the damage in Triana, with trees seen uprooted.
Almost 50 incidents of storm damage were recorded following the storm, according to local media reports, but there were no injuries. Credit: Ale Sic via Storyful

Para comer donde esté el producto nacional que se quite todo lo demás...Vamos que en el tema alimentario el consumo made in spain está garantizado...Otra cosa es si hablamos del textil. Son pocos los que se fijan en la procedencia de la prenda...En todo caso descubrirían que la mayoría se fabrica fuera de nuestro país. Aunque también es cierto que aquí se crea empleo de más calidad con el diseño y la venta. En estos tiempos de crisis el precio es prioritario a la hora de decidirse por un producto. Desde luego se trata de comprar porque las previsiones apuntan a que el consumo caerá un 1,5 por ciento. Y si se ceba en los productos españoles se pueden perder 120.000 empleos.

At least 2 dead, 20 injured in Barcelona terror attack after van hits crowds
Barcelona, Aug 17 (EFE).- At least two people were killed and 20 others were injured when a van ran over pedestrians in Barcelona's Rambla boulevard on Thursday in what police confirmed was a terror attack.
Security sources said they were looking for two suspects, one of whom was the driver of the van, who managed to flee on foot and barricaded himself inside a bar armed with a rifle.
The second suspect managed to escape, the sources told EFE, adding that they were searching for someone wearing a blue and white sweater.
"We can confirm this was a terror attack. The counter-terror protocol has been activated," tweeted regional police.
Police said the van rammed into several vehicles before barreling down the tree-lined central pedestrian-only area of the Rambla.
Officers from the regional Mossos d'Esquadra and emergency services were deployed to the area, which is at the heart of the city's touristic center and is visited by thousands every day.
Police sources said they were searching for a second van that the suspects may have rented to use as a getaway vehicle.
Police also denied rumors of a shooting at a nearby shopping center.
The regional government asked that metro and train stations in the area be closed to the public.
Spanish state broadcaster RTVE spoke to witnesses who said the van had mounted the central pedestrian part of the boulevard and raced towards crowds.
Television images showed several people being attended by medical first attenders and baby chairs lying abandoned on the road.

Pico Los Reales
Una de las mejores cosas de esta ruta son las espléndidas vistas desde la cima del pico de Los Reales (1.452 m) en la escena inicial del vídeo, que incluyen la costa de África y el Peñón de Gibraltar, que se pueden divisar claramente a lo lejos. Pero no es la única atracción que tiene que ofrecer. Además de los bosques de pinsapos y pino negral, Sierra Bermeja (que tiene unas 35.000 hectáreas) es una de las áreas más grandes del mundo donde el manto superior de la Tierra surgió a la superficie y formó estas montañas de color rojizo con rocas plutónicas. Por eso muchos geólogos exigen que esta sierra sea incluida en el futuro Parque Nacional Sierra de las Nieves, contando con el apoyo de muchas asociaciones e instituciones nacionales e internacionales como la Universidad de California.

One of the best things of this route are the splendid views from the top of the Los Reales peak (4.760 feet) in the opening scene of the video, which include the coast of Africa and the rock of Gibraltar, that you can clearly make out in the distance. But it's not the only attraction it has to offer. Besides the forests of Spanish fir tree and black pine, Sierra Bermeja (over 86.000 acres) is one of the biggest areas in the world where the upper mantel of the Earth came up to the surface and formed these reddish-coloured mountains with plutonic rocks. That's why many geologists demand this sierra should be included in the future Sierra de las Nieves National Park, having many support from many national and international associations and institutions like the University of California.

Arroyo del Quejigo
Vuelvo a Sierra Bermeja para visitar el Arroyo del Queijo y sus magníficas pozas, uno de los lugares más bonitos de estas montañas. Este arroyo es un tributario del río Almarchal, que a su vez es tributario del Genal. Este arroyo no se seca en verano, así que es naturalmente un lugar de baño para la gente de los pueblos cercanos.
La primera poza, el Charco Azul, es fácilmente accesible en coche, aunque recomendaría andar el kilómetro de distancia que hay desde la carretera hasta aquí, ya que el carril de tierra no está en muy buenas condiciones.
Aunque hay una pequeña senda junto al arroyo, yo prefiero la opción de ir saltando de roca en roca. Hay otra poza más antes de llegar al idílico Charco Encantado, con su característico tronco en mitad de la poza. La mayoría de la gente se queda aquí para bañarse en sus cristalinas aguas, y también porque hay un paso un poco complicado si quieres seguir arroyo arriba. Había planeado llegar a la próxima poza, la Poza de María Teodora, otro maravilloso lugar para bañarse, sin embargo seguí un poco más hasta llegar a la próxima poza y allí decidí parar para relajarme un rato y volver hacia atrás lentamente.
Reptiles y anfibios son abundantes en esta zona, especialmente serpientes y lagartijas. Este también es territorio de nutrias, aunque son difíciles de ver.

This creek is a tributary of the Almarchal river, which is also a tributary of the bigger Genal. This creek doesn't dry up during the summer, so it is naturally a place to bathe for people from nearby villages. The first pool, the "Blue Pool" can be easily accessed by car, though I would better recommend to walk the 1 kilometer distance from the paved road to here, since the dirt road is not in very good conditions.
Though there is a small trail next to the creek, I prefer the rock-hopping option. There is another pool before getting to the idyllic "Enchanted Pool", with its characteristic tree trunk in the middle of the pool. Most people stay here to bathe in this crystalline waters, and also there's a small tricky step if you want to go further up the creek. I planned to get to the next, "Mary Theodora's Pool", another wonderful place to bathe, but I went on a little further until I got to one more pool and there I decided to chill out for a while and then go back slowly.
Reptiles and amphibians are plentiful in this area, especially snakes and lizards. This is also otter territory but they're very hard to spot.
