In Norse mythology, Surtr (modern Icelandic Surtur, sometimes Anglicized Surt) is the leader of the fire giants in the south, the ruler of Muspelheim, the realm of fire. His name means "Swart" or Black, and at the end of the world, Ragnarok, his hordes will rush north like a south wind to overwhelm the gods.

In Snorri Sturluson's Edda (1179-1241): "Surtur is the one so named who stands on Múspell's border, guarding the land. His sword is flaming and as the world ends he will go out, make war against and triumph over the gods. And he will burn the whole world with fire" (Gimlé Gylfaginning, iv). Only Hodmimir's Forest will remain, because that is the only thing his sword can not destroy. He will kill the unarmed god Freyr as well.

Surtsey is a new volcanic island that surfaced off the south coast of Iceland in 1963. Its name in Icelandic means "Surtur's Island".

In the final battle, Surtr and his Fire-Giants burst forth: "In Surtur's grasp the Sword of Revenge blazes, adding a blood red colour to the twilight of the whole world."

Or so says Wikipedia. In any case, easy as pie boss if you have Fire-immune demons, since even his regular attack is Fire-aligned.

Battlefield Hardline Beta - Blood Rush - PC Gameplay Ultra Settings

So what is it? Well, it's basically from my brief experience, classic battlefield with a new mode. Tried out Blood rush which, yes, it's very similar to Payday.

There's an annoying weapon sway which seems to happen for no reason. It's also quite choppy performance wise. While I can run BF4 on ultra except MSAA turned down to 2 and get a solid 75-80 fps, here it's about 20-fps lower.

While I was recording the fps locked itself to 30fps with a few dips under here and there. Lightning effects are just as nice in BF4 but apart from that it's not really impressive if you ask me. Textures looks kinda low res at times.

Hit detection seemed at bit off as well, but I remembered to turn off network smoothing which helped a bit in my two games I played after this. Need to play a bit move obviously before you can give any real first impressions but it could certainly be fun with a few friends, but I think I'd rather prefer smaller maps with fewer players then.

Nos subimos a una montaña rusa que nos transportará en su lóbrego camino hasta una mansión del terror en la que tendremos que tratar de sobrevivir a los peligros que esconde la atracción. Una excelente demostración de todas las posibilidades que se pueden exprimir por medio de PlayStation VR.

Battlefield 1, Mafia 3, Gears of War 4 - Lanzamientos de octubre

Os presentamos los lanzamientos del mes de octubre. Se trata de uno de los meses más fuertes del año, en que vamos a disfrutar de juegos tan esperados como Mafia 3 (un sandbox para P4, PC y Xbox One desarrollado por 2K) junto a shooters de la talla de Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 o Gears of War 4 -el primer juego de la saga que aparece en exclusiva para Xbox One y PC-. El mes de octubre llega cargado de grandes anuncios para todos los gustos.

Desde los luchadores de WWE 2K17 a las aventuras de Super Mario en Paper Mario Color Splash para Wii, pasando por el regreso de Dragon Quest (con Builders para PS4 y PS Vita) o World of Final Fantasy. Octubre es también el mes en que los usuarios de la consola de Sony podrán dar el salto a la realidad virtual con PSVR, y por eso hemos destacado alguno de los juegos más interesantes que acompañarán a este dispositivo de realidad virtual. Se trata de Until Dawn Rush of Blood, Here they Lie, VR Worlds o Rez Infinite.
