A fire broke out in Sabaneta, a municipality in northern Colombia, on July 8, sending huge plumes of black smoke rising above the surrounding neighborhood.

This footage shows the blaze, which occurred near the area’s Mayorca Mega Plaza. According to local reports, the fire started in a building belonging to a furniture company and shot up flames that reached more than 10 meters (33 feet) in height.

The block around the fire was evacuated in case the structure collapsed. Local fire officials told Noticias Caracol that 90 percent of the blaze was extinguished about an hour after it was reported. Credit: Twitter/CBproducciones via Storyful

Barcelona, Dec 18 (EFE).- Kazakh artist Tolkyn Sakbayeva, born 25 years ago with cerebral palsy and with little hope of being able to speak or use a pencil, has now established herself with her exposition "Kaleidoscope" as a outstanding painter for the force and color of her work, which is expressive, lively and full of light.

The exposition at Barcelona's Espacio Espronceda is her second in this city, where she has lived for a little over two years and for the first time, she told EFE, she is showing large-format paintings almost three meters (10 feet) wide.

  • Pole vaulter's pole snaps during jump at world champs

Every time I watch the pole vault, I marvel at how much the thin, 15-foot poles are able to bend in order to withstand the weight of the athlete being propelled high into the air. The process of making the approach, placing the pole in the small plant, propelling into the air, having the pole bend just enough to get an athlete over the bar and falling safely to the pit is one of the more remarkable scenes in sports.

Unfortunately for Dmitry Starodubtsev, it doesn't always work out that way.

The Russian was attempting a jump of 5.75 meters (a little less than 19 feet) Monday at the IAAF World Championships in South Korea when his pole snapped in half mid-jump.

The Russian injured his hand in the fall and had to withdraw from the competition. Watch that clip a few times and you'll realize he was lucky his hand was the only thing that got hurt.

  • 10 Mysterious Archaeological Discoveries

Here are 10 of the most mysterious archaeological discoveries. What a strange world we live in!\r

    \r
    # 6 Stone Spheres of Costa Rica\r
There are over 300 almost perfectly spherical stone balls located on the Diquis Delta and Isla del Cano and are locally known as Las Bolas. They are commonly believed to have been built by the now extinct Diquis Culture and may have been sculptures used to line the pathways to the houses of chiefs, however, this is unconfirmed. These mysterious spheres range in size from just a few centimeters to 2 meters or 6.6 feet in diameter and can weigh up to 15 tons. While many marvel at their perfectly spherical shape now, they have been exposed to erosion for countless years and may have changed from their original shapes.\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    # 5 Gobleki Tepe\r
Gobleki Tepe or Potbelly Hill in Turkish is an archaeological site in Southeastern Anatolia. It includes some of the worlds largest megaliths. Interestingly, they date back to the 10th millennium B.C.E. made by semi-nomadic hunters who were unaware of agriculture. Most people believe that humans settled into permanent settlements, then started agriculture, and then started to build temples but Gobekli Tepe challenges that chronology as farming didnt start in the area until around five centuries after this structure was built.\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    # 4 Yonaguni Monument\r
The Yonaguni Monument is a submerged rock formation off the coast of the Ryukyu Islands in Japan. The monument has seemingly artificial edges with sharp edges and flat surfaces that seem man-made. The monument seems to be made of twin megaliths because of the right angles on the monument. Those who believe this was a monument made on land and then fell and was submerged into the ocean somewhere between 3,000 years and 10,000 years ago. While the true nature of the Yonaguni Monument is largely debated - some believe it is a naturally occurring rock formation while others strongly believe it is the remnants of a lost ancient civilization.\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    # 3 The Unfinished Egyptian Obelisk\r
The Egyptians left behind plenty of things for us to marvel at but one thing they left behind that you might not know about is the Unfinished Obelisk. It is taller than any known obelisk that has been raised however it seems quarrymen abandoned the structure when the sides of it frured. It weighed over 1150 tons and measures 120 feet in height. It was one of the most amazing discoveries in Egypt. As opposed to the Great Pyramids which only shows us the final product, the Unfinished Obelisk shows a glimpse into how Ancient Egyptians worked and made things. In this case, the Obelisk was being carved out of granite bedrock with balls of Dolerite which is a mineral that is harder than granite.\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    # 2 Pumapunku\r
Pumapunku is a part of a large temple complex near the Tiwanaku Site of Western Bolivia. It is believed to date have been made approximately 1500 years ago. Pumapunku is comprised of elaborate stone structures that once framed a magnificent and quote “unbelievably wonderful” complex. The stone structures are made with what seems to be complex tools and precision that baffles modern historians. High precision holes and divots are cut into the structure in a way that didnt seem possible at the time.\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    # 1 Megalithic Temples of Malta\r
The people of Malta and Gozo in the Mediterranean existed for approximately 1,100 years from 4,000 to 2900 B.C.E. before completely disappearing for no reason. This mysterious culture left behind more than 30 temples in their wake, some of the oldest freestanding stone structures in the world. They seem to have a civilization that focused a lot on life, uality, and death with several phallic symbols, figurines, and figurines of fertile ladies. These temples also had complex underground burial chambers and an abundance of artwork suggesting a thriving society and culture. What could have wiped out such a major civilization so suddenly with nothing left behind remains a mystery although some suggest it was a combination of extreme environmental fors, disease and possibly religious extremists.

  • Back to circus training after 4 years, static trapeze basic workout

Static trapeze basic workout, There are different names for the circus exercises around the world, please tell me the different names you have heard.

A gymnastic or circus exercise device consisting of a horizontal bar suspended at its ends by two parallel cords is a calisthenics or calisthenics workout because it is a body weight training or bodyweight training.
A trapeze artist is a circus performer who performs acrobatics on the trapeze. The trapeze artists are one of the classic performances of the circus and included among the circus arts. The acts of the trapeze artist are highly appreciated by the public for their risk and spectacularity.
The traditional work of the trapeze artist is to perform pirouettes of increasing difficulty on the trapeze as it swings. Some of the most common acrobatics are:
    • Turn around for a moment suspended in the air or held by a hand
    • Flip vertically around the trapezoid
    • Balancing without feet or hands supported only by the torso
    • Stay face down on the sides of the trapezoid
    • Be subject only to the insteps.
The number with two trapezes is much more colorful and spectacular. In it participate at least two trapeze artists one in each trapecio of which one always balances upside down and the other does pirouettes in the air to be picked up by the first one. The inertia of the exercise allows the first artist to release the trapeze and retrieve it on the return journey.

Strength and good training in circus and acrobatic skills will give great results in the rapid learning of these abilities.
    Muscular strength:

Muscle strength is one of the physical capacities, and represents the neuromuscular ability to overcome an external or internal resistance thanks to muscle contraction, either static (isometric) or dynamic (isotonic strength).
Skeletal muscles perform two actions: contraction and relaxation. When the muscle is stimulated by a motor pulse, it contracts.
Concentric: (from the Latin "concentrum", which has a common center). It refers to contractions in which the length of muscles shorten
Eccentric or negative contraction: refers to the opposite of the process of concentric contraction, returning the muscles to the original point of the game.
Isometric or static: refers to the type of contraction in which the muscle develops a tension without changing its length ("iso" equal, and "meter" = unit of measurement).
