  • Second Israeli dies after being wounded in Jerusalem blasts

An Israeli man died Saturday from wounds he sustained in twin blasts that hit Jerusalem earlier this week, bringing the number of dead to two from the explosions which Israeli police blamed on Palestinians. Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem announced that Tadesse Teshome Ben Madeh had died. He was critically wounded in one of the blasts at the city's bus stops. "The trauma and intensive care teams of Shaare Zedek fought for his life, but unfortunately his injury was very fatal," the hospital said. The first explosion occurred Wednesday near a typically crowded bus stop on the edge of the city. The second went off about half an hour later in Ramot, a settlement in the city's north. One of the blasts immediately killed Aryeh Schupak, 15, a dual Israeli-Canadian national who was heading to a Jewish seminary when the blast went off. The blasts also wounded about 17 Israelis. While Palestinians have carried out stabbings, car rammings and shootings in recent years, bombing attacks ha

  • best anti aging products 2013

    http://antiaging.im

AC-11 is a revolutionary advancement in human nutrition and skin care. Derived from the inner bark of Uncaria tomentosa, a vine indigenous to the Amazon rainforest, safe, all-natural AC-11 helps the body to repair DNA damage with a huge anti aging effect . The process by which this repair occurs is self-healing and has evolutionary origins. Its proper functioning may be the critical piece to the human health puzzle. Current science confirms that it is unrepaired DNA damage that leads to accelerated aging and an eventual breakdown of the body.

Effective both orally and topically, AC-11 begins where the protective benefits of antioxidants end by visibly reducing the adverse effects of aging and by helping to restore healthy cell function. Supported by over 40 peer-reviewed scientific studies, AC-11 works with the body to repair DNA damage caused by over-exposure to the sun and oxidative stress (pollution, etc,) starting the best anti aging process. This action helps boost immune function and allows our bodies to perform more efficiently, so that we look and feel younger—a perfect solution for inner health and outer beauty!

    Best Anti Aging products

The body naturally protects against free radical damage by producing neutralizing antioxidants. Certain foods and dietary supplements, moreover, provide a way to introduce additional antioxidants into the system.

Where free radical damage, or a lesion, has occurred to DNA, the body has a limited repair capacity. Specialized proteins scan the DNA to identify and isolate corrupted portions of the genetic code. Minor lesions may be chemically reversed; more extensive damage must be removed. Repair enzymes cut out or excise the damaged area and re-create the discarded section.

Together, antioxidants and the cell's internal DNA repair mechanisms work to preserve the integrity of the cell. However, too many free radicals and too much damage over a given period of time can overwhelm these basic mechanisms and cause them to fail. Overload of this type is called oxidative stress. When lesions are left unrepaired, eventually they impair the cell's natural functions, including its self-repair functions. Individual cells damaged by oxidative stress break down and die prematurely. Over time, the body becomes progressively less capable of restoring healthy DNA as the cells continue to replicate in damaged or corrupted form.

As a result of unrepaired DNA damage that accumulates with age, the body becomes less efficient at basic tasks. For example, damage to the white cells, which form the core of a person's immune system, will increase the body's susceptibility to acute, chronic, and degenerative diseases. Moreover, non-regenerative structures, such as collagen, will begin to deteriorate rapidly and lead to aging the skin and weakening of the joints, bones, and connective tissues.

AC-11 is a revolutionary botanical extract that helps repair damage to DNA. This patented compound enhances cellular repair mechanisms to improve the utility and function of organs, muscles, and tissues throughout the body. Topical applications of AC-11 help to repair UV damage, fade discoloration, and ease fine lines and wrinkles. When ingested, this natural supplement also helps to support a healthy response to excess inflammation and encourage collagen production, while simultaneously supporting the immune system. These anti aging products are the best in the market in 2013.

    #3 - The Black Footed Ferret\r
The Black Footed Ferret is a member of the weasel family and about the size of a mink. It is a solitary animal, only gathering in groups when mating or raising young; they prefer to spend their days hunting sleeping prairie dogs in their burrows. Known as North Americas rarest mammal, the Black Footed Ferret was declared extinct in 1979. It was thought to be extinct because of loss of habitat and disease; none had been seen for years. In 1981, a woman named Lucille Hogg was introduced to a dead one that had been brought to her by her dog in Meeteetse, Wyoming. After seeing the few that remained alive in that area, a captive breeding program was launched by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service in order to attempt to save the species. The USFWS, together with state and tribal agencies, conservations groups, and North American zoos have worked to ively reintroduce populations of the Black Footed Ferret into the wild. Their efforts have proven successful and since the breeding program launched in 1991, they have reintroduced the species back into eight western states, and there are now over 1,000 healthy, mature Black Footed Ferrets that were born in the wild across 18 different populations, with four of those populations being self-sustaining.\r

    #2 - The Sumatran Rhino\r
What is also known as the hairy or the Asian two-horned rhino, the Sumatran Rhino was thought to be extinct until a small herd was spotted in March of 2016. The Sumatran Rhino is a rare species of rhino, and it is the smallest in size of the bunch. Even though they range in average size from 1,500-1,800lbs, there have been rhinos recorded at a whopping 4,400lbs, which is huge for the smaller Sumatran Rhino. Much of the Sumatran Rhino is similar in appearance to other members of the rhino family, except for the addition of a coat of reddish-brown hair that cover the majority of the rhinos body. At one point in history, herds of Sumatran Rhinos roamed throughout the rainforests, cloud forests, and swamps in India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and parts of China. In 2008, the hairy rhino was listed as critically endangered, with only 250 surviving in the world. Since then, fewer and fewer of these herds of Sumatran Rhinos were being spotted, and countries that once held an abundance of the animal were now reporting that the hairy rhino had become extinct. The few efforts that were made all ended in disaster and the animals either died in transit or once they arrived at their destination due to depression and unfit conditions. In April of new, Sabah reported that the Bornean Rhino, which is another species of rhino similar to its hairy cousin, had been confirmed extinct. In August of new, Malaysia confirmed that the hairy rhino was extinct in the wild. However, in March of 2016, a small group of Sumatran Rhinos were spotted in the Indonesian part of Borneo, a place called Kalimantan. The last time a Sumatran Rhino was spotted in the Kalimantan area was over 40 years ago and many zoologists are curious as to what brought the hairy rhino back. Many people, who were optimistic about the discovery were soon met with despair just a few days after the sighting when one of the hairy rhinos wound up dead, with no telltale sign as to why it died. This animal is still on the critically endangered list, hopefully, one day, with enough care and attention we can change that. \r
    \r

    #1 - The Takahe Bird\r
In 1898, four takahes were taken from New Zealand and thought to be lost forever, so the flightless bird was labeled as extinct. The bird was found throughout the island country at one point but due to events surrounding the Pre-European and Post-European arrivals to New Zealand, most likely climate change and the introduction of Polynesian rats, the birds had been wiped out. That wasnt good enough for researcher Geoffrey Orbell who carefully planned a search effort, which turned out yielding the results he had hoped for. The Takahe bird was spotted near Lake Te Anau on the south island of New Zealand, on November 20, 1948. Members of the species now live in protected lands in the Fiordland National Park. At the end of new, there were 300 birds in the conservation program.

  • 22 Insane Traditions of Tribes Around The World

From The Red People to The Fiercest Wig here are 22 Insane Traditions of Tribes Around The World. Welcome to the Family!\r
    \r
    #16 - Crocodile Skin\r
The tribes that live in New Guinea undergo a process called crocodile scarification when a boy becomes a man. The majority of the boys body is cut in order to create patterns that resemble the skin of a crocodile. The process is very painful and can take months for the body to fully heal. \r
    \r
    #15 - The Red People\r
The members of the Himba tribe are known for covering their skin with a thick red cream made from local herbs and crushed rock. The cream is seen as attrive to other members of the tribe and it also keeps their skin safe from the blazing African sun. Himba women take a bath only once in their life, just before getting married. On bath night, they wash their hair with ash and must keep the same hairstyle for the remainder of their lives.\r
    \r
    \r
#14 - When You Get Old, You Die Alone\r
Eskimos hold an interesting tradition when it comes to taking care of their elderly. To prevent the older members of the community from being burdens on their families, they are sent off to die alone on a floating iceberg when they become a certain age. They see it as giving the elder a send off that leaves them their grace and dignity. \r
    \r
    #13 - The Fiercest Wig\r
Known as the fiercest and hariest tribe in the world, the Huli Wigmen spend the majority of their lives, making and pricing to make huge ornamented wigs. Boys are even sent to wig school as part of the initiation into manhood. The wigs are used to intimidate the enemies they fight against. \r
    \r
    \r
    #12 - Bull Jumping to Become a Man\r
In the Hamer tribe of Ethiopia young boys prove their manhood by jumping onto the back of a bull, then jumping from the back of that bull to another bull and seeing how many he can jump across. They usually conduct this ritual in the nude. \r
    \r
    #11 - Welcome to the Family\r
If a couple wants to get married in the Banyankole tribe, the man must first sleep with the aunt of his soon-to-be bride. Another part of the tradition is that the aunt must then check to make sure her niece is a virgin. Only after both tests are passed will she give her blessing and the couple can get married. \r
    \r
    \r
    #10 - Bigger is More Beautiful\r
Everyone in the Mauritania tribe believes that the bigger the woman, the more beautiful she is. Parents even send their daughters to “fat camps” where they are fed an average of 15,000 calories each day. Being larger in size makes you more desirable as a wife. \r
    \r
    #9 - Cutting It Close\r
The women of the Dani tribe choose to grieve in a very peculiar way. When a family member dies, the women in the family voluntarily cut off a segment of one of their fingers. They numb it by tying the section off with a string for about half an hour, and after the cut is made, they seal the wound with fire. \r
    \r
    \r
#8 - The Most Painful Bite in the World\r
As an initiation ritual, the Satere-Mawe tribe boys gather bullet ants from the jungle nearby. After being drugged with herbs from the Medicine Man, the bullet ants, which are said to have the most painful sting in the world, are sewn into a pair of woven gloves. After the drugs wear off, the ants become angry and aggressive. In order to become men, the boys must wear these gloves in ten-minute intervals until they have endured the pain 20 different times. \r
    \r
    \r
    #7 - In Family They Rest\r
The burial traditions of the Yanomami tribe are more than strange. When a person of this tribe dies, the body is cremated, and the ashes are mixed into a soup that is drunk by the surviving members of their family. They believe that by ingesting the remains of their loved one, their spirit will live with them forever. \r
    \r
    \r
    #6 - Blood Shed\r
Shiite Muslims are very vocal when it comes to their traditions, and the event of Ashura is certainly seen as insane by most standards. The day is observed in commemoration of the death of the grandson of the prophet Muhammad, Imam Hussein. In the 7th century battle in which he was slain, Hussein and his men were repeatedly struck on the head with knives and daggers. Shiite men replicate the event by flagellating themselves with daggers to the head. \r
    \r
    #5 - The Giraffe Necks\r
It is mainly the women of the Kayan tribes that you see with gold coils around their necks, even though sometimes they are worn by the men. There are different ideas and thoughts regarding the reason why they wear the coils, but the most common reason being a symbol of beauty. Many non-tribe members think that the gold coil stretches the neck were, in reality, it pushes down the clavicle and compresses the rib cage.

  • The Great Opah Fish - Japanese Street Food

The opah, the only known fully warm-blooded fish, is a valuable species for commercial and recreational fishermen. However, researchers do not have a full understanding of the basic biology and ecology of this species. NOAA's Southwest Fisheries Science Center began collecting biological samples from opah in 2009 and initiated an electronic tagging program in 2011. Scientists hope to continue tagging opah to learn about their movements and range. This research will provide the basic life history information necessary for future population assessments and management. NOAA Fisheries is also working with the seafood industry to help reduce waste during the processing of opah.

Not all fish are cold-blooded. In 2015, researchers with the NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center revealed the opah, or moonfish, as the first fully warm-blooded fish. Although not as warm as mammals and birds, the opah circulates heated blood throughout its body, giving it a competitive advantage in the cold ocean depths from 150 to 1,300 feet below the surface.

Its body temperature isn’t the only thing that makes this fish stand out from the rest in its environment. Most fish living in the dark and chilly depths rely on ambush to catch their prey, but the agile opah is fast and efficient, flapping its bright red pectoral fins to race through the water. The constant flapping of its fins heats the opah’s body, speeding its metabolism, movement, and reaction times.

About the same size as a large automobile tire, the opah is equipped with specialized blood vessels that carry warm blood to its gills to rewarm the blood that cools as the fish breathes and absorbs oxygen from the water. These heat-exchanging blood vessels minimize the loss of body heat to the opah’s cold environment, ensuring a warm core body temperature, increasing muscle output and swimming capacity, and boosting eye and brain function. The opah is also able to stay in deep water longer without risking reduced function to its heart and other organs because the fatty tissue surrounding its gills, heart, and muscle tissue acts as insulation against icy waters.

The opah is one of the most colorful of the commercial fish species, and is particularly popular in Hawaii. It is overall red with white spots and turns a silvery-grey when it dies. Its fins are crimson, and its large eyes are with gold. The fish’s large, round profile is thought to be the origin of its “moonfish” nickname. These combined characteristics certainly make this “warm-blooded fish” unique among the many wondrous creatures of the ocean.

Title - Catching Freshwater Snakes and Turtles!\r
    \r
Here is one from the vault, this one was filmed a while ago but it was a video showing a very large problem that we have here in Queensland and that is the Cane Toad and how much devastation they are causing to our native wildlife. Since making this video it has been brought to my attention that to catch native wildlife in Queensland is in f against the wildlifeand therefore I no longer handle any wildlife protected by the , but I still think it is very important to raise awareness for the destruction this introduced species the Cane Toad is causing not only in my backyard but all over Australia.\r
    \r
The Story: After noticing an increase in the number of Cane Toads and a slight increase in the number of dead animals I had been finding down my creek, I wanted to find the 2 species in my area that could successfully catch and eat cane toads without dying and those 2 species are both reptiles. One being a snake (Keelback) and the other being a turtle (Saw-Shelled Turtle). Since I only had one weekend to try to film this, I searched as hard as I could and in the end managed to find these 2 beautiful species and it made me feel great to think that these two beautiful creatures have adapted to the environment and are doing their bit to conquer the problem!\r
    \r
Why were Cane Toads were introduced?\r
    \r
Cane Toads were introduced in 1935 into Australia by some ning-nong to stop a species of beetle called a Cane Beetle eating the farmers crops. Since their crops was their lifestyle they thought that bringing in a different species that could eat the beetle would stop the problem. It didnt end there, Cane Toads ignored the beetles and spread across Australia. As you can see in the video Cane Toads have Poison just under their skin that can kill an animal as big as a Crocodile. This has caused millions of native animal deaths across Australia and has even made animals critically endangered.\r

    Hey Shrimp Keepers, \r

    \r
    \r
I talked briefly in the video about Jeremys fish room. I wanted to give that link for anyone thats interested: \r
    \r
    \r
So, onto Indian Almond Leaves in the aquarium, mainly in freshwater shrimp tanks. I want to go over some quick points and cover them all in the video: origins of Indian almond leaves, their benefits and uses in the aquarium, how many to use for freshwater shrimp and how long the Indian Almond Leaves last. \r
    \r
First off, Indians Almond Leaves originated in South East Asia. They were originally used by betta breeders to condition them to spawn. They also used them in their hospital tanks to get the fish back to health. \r
    \r
Now, what are Indian Almond Leaves used for. The uses are listed in order of importance in my opinion. \r
    \r
The first most important use for Indian Almond Leaves in the aquarium is for trace minerals and other beneficial compounds. In nature, shrimp originate from slow moving river in forests. It is safe to say that leaves do fall into the the river and will decay over time. These leaves release tons of minerals and compounds into the river. In an aquarium, we use over filtered drinking water. Many trace elements are missing that shrimp need to thrive. By adding Indian Almond Leaves to the aquarium, the shrimp start to receive these necessary mineral and it opens the door to really allow them to thrive. \r
    \r
The second most important use for Indian Almond Leaves is for a natural food source for shrimp. Infusoria (micro-organisms) breakdown the leaf in the aquarium. This process usually takes a month to accomplish. The infusoria are a natural food source for shrimp and shrimplets (baby shrimp). Therefore, Indian Almond Leaves are essential to creating a stable environment for freshwater shrimp to breed. \r
    \r
Indian Almond Leaves are pumped full of anti-fungal properties to prevent die off in nature. These properties and compounds are believe to be released into the water column of an aquarium as the leaf breaks down. With that being said, many hobbyists (like myself) believe that Indian Almond Leaves help fight off berial and fungal infections in shrimp. \r
    \r
These three reason above are enough reason to begin using Indian Almond Leaves in your aquarium for freshwater shrimp. The leaves provide trace minerals and compound, a natural food source and provide anti-fungal an anti-berial properties to an aquarium. Although, this is not all they do: \r
    \r
Indian Almond leaves will also help to lower the ph of an aquarium. How much they lower ph depends on the level of kh (carbonate hardness) in the aquarium. The higher the kh, the harder it will be to lower the ph meaning itll take more leaves. \r
    \r
The only downfall to Indian Almond leaves is that they do change the color of the water to a tea color. Hobbyists that like clear water will not like this. Also, some find the leaves sore on the eye and do not prefer to use them for this reason. \r
    \r
The dosage of Indian Almond Leaves for shrimp tanks is simple, one leaf (6 to 8 in) per 20 gallons of water. Add a new leaf as one begins to decay. This will usually occur after 2-4 weeks. For larger tanks with higher loads of shrimp, add more leaves as necessary. \r
    \r
