Probably the hardest place in Pattaya to get decent footage from as you are watched like a hawk in many bars. On this night I wasnt feeling good and almost fell off a bar stool at one of the open fronted bars. So I made a quick exit with just a couple of random shots from the Queen Vic and the street.\r

This is the largest of its type of bar in Pattaya by far, but inside it can feel empty even if its busy. The jail theme is a good one, they have cheap draught beer and some very pretty ladies inside so its a good bar overall. \r

However one thing bugs me about this bar. Im always curious as to why they use either old or overweight ladies as the promo girls. Its much better to have a system like the Skyfall bar where they rotate some of the best lookers outside to bring in the customers :)\r

One of the more popular recent bars. Palace has a lot of above average looking ladies and is becoming more popular with Asian customers. Many of the ladies are fair skinned and have had cosmetic surgery on their noses to make them appeal to these mainly Japanese and Korean customers. Still, its a great bar when they have a party night on :)\r

At number 10 the Doctor is back. "I need a Doctor" Featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey is a chilling video that is almost 8 minutes long. Filled with flashbacks and home videos of Dre's life it starts out with him getting in an accident, forcing him onto life support with Eminem singing to him. It ends with him coming back stronger than ever proving that Dr. Dre still has it.

Coming in at number 9 we have Beyonce's "Countdown." We cannot get enough of this video. It features a pregnant, but still stunning Beyonce. We are totally feeling the throw back to 50's era styling down to the fashion and dancing. There is so much going on that you have to watch this at least a few times to catch everything, and even on repeat we don't get sick of it.

At number 8 we have "All of the Lights" by Kanye West. Now this video is so intense that it has even been forced to have a seizure warning before it starts! But still the beginning shots in black and white are stunning, and we love the modern twist of the graphics that oddly looks vintage as well.

Now at number 7 we have another star that uses black and white for its powerful affects. Adele's "Someone Like You" is hauntingly beautiful by itself, but pair it with her video and it's captivating. Yes, it's a simple premise with just a moving camera following her around, but you can see and feel the emotion radiating from the screen.

And finishing off this half of the countdown, at number 6 we have Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass." This song was huge this year and we loved the video. Filled with pink everything, this video was super fun. And we totally loved the dance number between her and her back-up Nickis which reminded us of 90's grunge girl group. And our favorite part comes at the end, because who doesn't love a good black light effect, right?

Hello and welcome to Lego Loft. Im stacks and today weve been to the LEGO Store to buy some more Lego! Weve had another trip to the LEGO Store and weve picked up not one, not two, not three but four pick a brick cups and weve also got a build a minifigure pack and one of these pirate sets, thats our second one. In 1. So this is Pipers first cup. Ill get these pieces out, lets see what hes got. Stay on the table, please stay on the table Lego. Right, I instructed piper to get me plenty of roof slopes cause I like building roofs out of roof slopes. We only got them in 2 by 4, theres no smaller ones or corner pieces which is a bit annoying. I want more variety, come on Lego Store. Weve got them in red and black. I saw these green bricks and I like this green colour. I though Im going to build a green wall, I said Piper, get me some of them green pieces He got 4. Thats going to be a really small wall. We go some of these tail fins for planes. He got trans yellow studs and 1 by 1 trans clear plates. Lets get it in the box. Tidy up. I hope all you kids at home tidy your Lego when youre finished playing with it, that means you should never tidy it because you should never finish playing with it. You should always play with your Lego, I do. In 2. This is my selection of Lego elements. Ive got some green plates. What else? I see some yellow jumpers. I can see some big bricky bits, light blue 2 by 4 bricks. Also white orange and red. We got 1 by 4 brown brick. 2 by 2 tan and orange tiles. Plates here, 2 by 8 plate. 1 by 8 tile in red. White grate bits, theyre Gr-r-reat. Number 3. Pipers second lot of Lego. This one looks like its gonna be messy. Orange tiles again. Its going everywhere, careful! Stay put Lego. Dont roll off the table. These cylinder pieces have a mind of their own. Are you staying still? Okay, theyre staying still, lets do it. Weve got these white fence pieces. Loads of studs. And finally. This is the last pick a brick cup of the day. Its got some sticky tape, get off of my fingers. Lets open it up. Weve got some 1 by 4 white arch pieces, but thats not all. Nice selection. White doors in frames. Flowers, white, red and pink and green stems. Im obsessed with 2 by 2 by 2 light grey slopes. More tan tile and 1 by 2 purple tiles. Green bumper pieces and 2 by 1 curved slopes. And wheel pieces. Did you know That LEGO are the worlds largest manufurer of tyres, thats crazy but awesome. Got some of these windscreen (windshield) pieces for cars. weve got a crate and inside Ive put some ruby red gemstones. Green headlight bricks and trans orange cheese slopes. This is all of the pick a brick haul. That is tons of Lego, fifty pounds worth. we only got 2 minifigures even though its a 3 pack. We were very naughty and stuffed loads of extra accessories in there hoping wed get away with it. We did get away with it I dont think they wanted to complain since we spent a lot of money. A top hat, some blue plates, stuck together heads. We wanted more faces. Weve got some seagulls, blond hair. A printed piece, I dont know what it is but I like printed pieces so I got it. A scorpion, frying pan, a long bone. Weve got a gold piece which is in the form of a crystal. We got goggles. At least 2 dead, 20 injured in Barcelona terror attack after van hits crowds

Barcelona, Aug 17 (EFE).- At least two people were killed and 20 others were injured when a van ran over pedestrians in Barcelona's Rambla boulevard on Thursday in what police confirmed was a terror attack.

Security sources said they were looking for two suspects, one of whom was the driver of the van, who managed to flee on foot and barricaded himself inside a bar armed with a rifle.

The second suspect managed to escape, the sources told EFE, adding that they were searching for someone wearing a blue and white sweater.

"We can confirm this was a terror attack. The counter-terror protocol has been activated," tweeted regional police.

Police said the van rammed into several vehicles before barreling down the tree-lined central pedestrian-only area of the Rambla.

Officers from the regional Mossos d'Esquadra and emergency services were deployed to the area, which is at the heart of the city's touristic center and is visited by thousands every day.

Police sources said they were searching for a second van that the suspects may have rented to use as a getaway vehicle.

Police also denied rumors of a shooting at a nearby shopping center.

The regional government asked that metro and train stations in the area be closed to the public.

Spanish state broadcaster RTVE spoke to witnesses who said the van had mounted the central pedestrian part of the boulevard and raced towards crowds.

Television images showed several people being attended by medical first attenders and baby chairs lying abandoned on the road.

The Great Opah Fish - Japanese Street Food

The opah, the only known fully warm-blooded fish, is a valuable species for commercial and recreational fishermen. However, researchers do not have a full understanding of the basic biology and ecology of this species. NOAA's Southwest Fisheries Science Center began collecting biological samples from opah in 2009 and initiated an electronic tagging program in 2011. Scientists hope to continue tagging opah to learn about their movements and range. This research will provide the basic life history information necessary for future population assessments and management. NOAA Fisheries is also working with the seafood industry to help reduce waste during the processing of opah.

Not all fish are cold-blooded. In 2015, researchers with the NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center revealed the opah, or moonfish, as the first fully warm-blooded fish. Although not as warm as mammals and birds, the opah circulates heated blood throughout its body, giving it a competitive advantage in the cold ocean depths from 150 to 1,300 feet below the surface.

Its body temperature isn’t the only thing that makes this fish stand out from the rest in its environment. Most fish living in the dark and chilly depths rely on ambush to catch their prey, but the agile opah is fast and efficient, flapping its bright red pectoral fins to race through the water. The constant flapping of its fins heats the opah’s body, speeding its metabolism, movement, and reaction times.

About the same size as a large automobile tire, the opah is equipped with specialized blood vessels that carry warm blood to its gills to rewarm the blood that cools as the fish breathes and absorbs oxygen from the water. These heat-exchanging blood vessels minimize the loss of body heat to the opah’s cold environment, ensuring a warm core body temperature, increasing muscle output and swimming capacity, and boosting eye and brain function. The opah is also able to stay in deep water longer without risking reduced function to its heart and other organs because the fatty tissue surrounding its gills, heart, and muscle tissue acts as insulation against icy waters.

The opah is one of the most colorful of the commercial fish species, and is particularly popular in Hawaii. It is overall red with white spots and turns a silvery-grey when it dies. Its fins are crimson, and its large eyes are with gold. The fish’s large, round profile is thought to be the origin of its “moonfish” nickname. These combined characteristics certainly make this “warm-blooded fish” unique among the many wondrous creatures of the ocean.

Skinwalkers\r
These creatures are found in many Native American legends … and the Navajo have some of the best documented lore concerning them. Skinwalkers have the supernatural ability to shapeshift into any creature they wish. They are often disguised as animals like wolves, eagles, or coyotes. But theyll assume the form of any creature that has the abilities it requires at that time. For example, if the skinwalker needs to travel quickly, it might assume the form of a crow. There are some beliefs that skinwalkers can steal the face of another person … or fuse themselves into the body of another, and read the mind of a human. It can also generate any animal noise it chooses, regardless of what form they currently hold. Not unlike vampires, skinwalkers need an invitation before they can enter an inhabited home … so they might mimic the voice of a loved one to lure you outside. And they might try to poison you by blowing corpse dust into your face … thats a powder ground from the bones of infants. Its advised you not upset skinwalkers, because they ively seek to cause humans harm. \r

2.Wendigo (wendy-go)\r
This cryptid has been reported along the Atlantic coast, from the US to Canada … and is said to prefer colder weather. In Algonquin folklore, the Wendigo can be perceived as either a cannibalistic monster or an evil spirit. In its spirit form, it will possess a human and transform them into an abomination. Or it can appear as a monster that displays human traits. In this version, theyre said to stand around 14 feet high, with a gaunt frame and ashy grey skin. One particular description I liked called it an enormous, animated skeleton that reeks of decay. Most accounts agree they have long tongues, sharp yellow fangs and glowing eyes. According to legend, Wendigos were originally humans that turned to cannibalism, or committed another egregiouslike murder … and that triggered their unholy transformation. \r

1.Sasquatch\r
The word ‘Sasquatch comes from the language of the Salish (sal-ish), people indigenous to coastal British Columbia. The word means ‘wild man … and native tribes have long related stories of ape-like animals roaming through North American forests. The Spokanes (spoh-KANs) of Washington state spoke of a race of hairy giants that would arrive at night to steal people and salmon. Witnesses have described them as having a pronounced brow ridge, standing up to 11 feet tall and covered in a coat of reddish brown fur. While theyre most often portrayed as ape-like creatures, the earliest reported sightings claimed they were more bear-like in appearance. Theres a pictograph of a Sasquatch that dates back around a thousand years located near Taft California at the Painted Rock Shelter? You can see it in detail in the picture taken by Kathy Moskowitz Strain. The painting itself is about 8.5 feet tall … and depicts a creature standing upright with its arms outstretched. The left arm has white outlines … while its right arm appears to be a rusty shade of red. Two similar forms are located next to the creature, which are believed to portray a mother and child. Local indigenous people referred to the being as “Hairy Man” Did you know that sightings of such cryptids have been reported on every continent except Antarctica.
