Demos la bienvenida al nuevo Jeep Grand Cherokee, el nuevo todoterreno de gran tamaño de Jeep. No se trata de la versión L presentada en 2021, sino del Grand Cherokee en su carrocería más corta y en versión de 5 plazas, un coche que promete no perder un ápice en posibilidades todoterreno y que además sí podremos comprar en Europa.

Diseño exterior

Ya conocida la versión L del Grand Cherokee, lo cierto es que en términos de diseño encontramos muy pocas diferencias más allá de la obvia modificación de cotas. Jeep ha querido multiplicar las posibilidades de este modelo ofreciendo dos carrocerías de forma simultánea, algo lógico teniendo en cuenta el éxito de los SUV de gran tamaño y con hasta 7 asientos.

Su estética es musculosa, de proporciones clásicas, pero con una personalidad fácilmente reconocible como Jeep en el diseño de la parrilla frontal, las ópticas LED alargadas o la proporción que existe entre superficie acristalada y chapa. La imagen que se pretende proyectar es la de robustez y empaque, lo mires por donde lo mires.

Partiendo una vez más de un chasis monocasco fabricado en acero y aluminio, Jeep marca distancias con los también nuevos Wagoneer basados en chasis de largueros y travesaños. ¿El motivo? Jeep concibe al Grand Cherokee como un todoterreno familiar, polivalente, pero sobre todo equilibrado para usar tanto dentro como fuera de asfalto. ¿Os suena esta idea? Sí, es la misma que ha provocado la transformación del Defender.

Este nuevo Grand Cherokee cuenta con una longitud de 4.914 mm y una batalla de 2.964 mm, lo que son 291 y 127 mm menos respectivamente que la versión L. Con estas medidas, este todoterreno se adapta mejor al mercado global, especialmente el europeo.

Caracas tendrá un autocine retro y nostálgico

Autocine quiere ser algo más que películas. El espacio abrirá este jueves 22 de octubre en la terraza del Centro Ciudad Comercial Tamanaco. Se realizarán dos funciones diarias, a las 7:00 pm y 9:00 pm, todos los días de la semana.

Las películas se verán en una pantalla LED de última generación, de 5x9, la cual estará elevada sobre una tarima y, según Marielisa Álvarez, gerente de Autocine, da la proporción de una pantalla de las salas tradicionales. El audio lo sintonizará el público en un dial en la radio del vehículo.

Álvarez comentó que el formato que proponen va más allá de solo estacionarse a comer cotufas mientras se ve un filme: “Queremos brindar una experiencia con conciertos, obras de teatro y otras manifestaciones culturales en tiempos de pandemia”.

Y fue, precisamente, en este tiempo que varias empresas venezolanas dedicadas al entretenimiento se unieron para buscar alternativas ante la paralización del sector.
Autocine tiene, además, una visión de no estar casado con Hollywood. Aunque habrá estrenos, no serán la prioridad. “Hicimos una alianza con Veloz, que es una distribuidora que se ha encargado de traer una oferta diferente; de traer películas ganadoras de premios emergentes y de otros mercados. Creemos que nuestra oferta tiene una fuerte carga nostálgica”, aseguró.
Uno de los objetivos principales de esta nueva alternativa “es que la gente haga un nexo con la nostalgia y también que las nuevas generaciones conozcan clásicos que nunca vieron”, dijo.

Cuidarán la bioseguridad

Otra de las novedades que trae Autocine es comprar en taquilla física, la cual estará instalada en los espacios de Urban Cuplé, dentro del CCCT. Asimismo, habrá la posibilidad por la página www.autocine.com.ve a partir de este miércoles 21, cuando salga la página al aire y de reservar el ticket, pagarlo y retirarlo al momento de llegar al lugar.

Los costos, dijo, se darán a conocer cuando se lance la página. La ocupación será, no obstante, por vehículo. No se permitirá gente sin carro ni bajarse del mismo, salvo para ir al baño. “Se hará una atención personalizada y limitada a la ventanilla para el servicio de caramelería; los baños serán desinfectados constantemente y el personal de atención tendrá toda la protección”, aseguró.

Todas las proyecciones tendrán un plus, según Álvarez. “Si es una película venezolana, a lo mejor podamos tener al director o alguien del elenco hablando con la gente; presentar un grupo que toque la música de las películas. Estamos también llamando a otros para poner a disposición esta alternativa para presentar espectáculos antes de que termine el año”.
