Iker Casillas leaves Real Madrid

Madrid, Jul 9 (EFE).-Iker Casillas, Real Madrid's star goal keeper for the last decade and a half, is leaving the Spanish club. Casillas is moving to FC Porto.

The former captain leaves behind a successful career: five Ligas titles, two Copas del Rey, three Champions League titles, four Spanish Super Cups, two European Super Cups, one Intercontinental Cup and one World Cup.

According to Portuguese media, FC Porto will offer him a two year contract with the option of a one year extension , as well as a five million euro salary per season.

Trippier joins Atletico on 3-year deal from Tottenham

Madrid, Jul 18 (EFE).- Atletico Madrid presented its two latest summer signings Thursday, Englishman Kieran Trippier, who says his priority is to learn Spanish, and Spain defender Mario Hermoso, whose move to the club was only officially announced earlier in the day.
 
First to take to the stage for the press presentation at the club's Wanda Metropolitano, a gleaming stadium on the outskirts of the Spanish capital, was Trippier, 28, a right-back arriving from Tottenham Hotspur.
 
The last time he played competitively at the Wanda stadium was on June 1 for the all-English Champions League final between Spurs and Liverpool, which the London side went on to lose 2-0.
 
Off the pitch, the Bury-born defender said his top priority was to learn Spanish and integrate himself in the local culture, not only to help him and his family acclimatize to life in Madrid but to help him gel with his teammates and new boss.
 
Tripper was presented with the number 23 shirt.
 
Following him at the conference was Hermoso, the club's newest face fresh from Espanyol on a five-year deal.

Tiger Woods wins 2011 Chevron tournament first victory in two years

Tiger Woods, who won the Chevron World Challenge with a birdie on the 18th hole, has been good to Next Media's Taiwanese animators. So we're happy he's got his mojo back after going two years or 749 days and 26 tournaments without a win.
Things started to go terribly wrong for Tiger after a Thanksgiving night car accident two years ago led to a divorce from his wife Elin Nordegren, exposed his serial womanizing to the public and lost him millions of dollars in endorsements.
That incident happened after just Tiger had won the Australian Masters on Nov. 15, 2009 — his seventh win of the year — and looked set to dominate golf for the rest of his career.
Instead, Tiger's game went down the tank, ruining two prime career years of the man many consider the greatest golfer in history.
To be sure, Sunday's Chevron World Challenge wasn't exactly the Master's. In fact, it's hosted by Tiger for his foundation. But the win bumped Tiger from No. 52 to No. 21 in the world ranking, and he beat a worthy adversary in former Masters champion Zach Johnson by one shot. Woods hit back-to-back birdies on the last two holes to finish at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California with a 3-under 69.
