"The Forgotten of Karaganda", the fate of 152 Spaniards who lived in Soviet gulags
Madrid (Spain), Nov. 13 (EFE).- The bodies of 14 Spaniards who spent the last days of their lives in forced-labor camps, rest in the region of Karaganda, in the center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Information has been found on 152 Spanish citizens from both sides of the Spain's Civil War who spent time in these facilities. This is the subject of "The Forgotten of Karaganda", a documentary produced by the Nexos-Alliance Association in collaboration with the Kazakh Embassy in Madrid, in which survivors and relatives share their experiences from a forgotten era.

The National Television of Nemunas (Spanish: Televisión Nacional de Nemunas, Lithuanian: Nacionalinė Nemuno Televizija, Tamil: நெமுனாஸ் தேசிய தொலைக்காட்சி, romanization: Nemuṉās tēciya tolaikkāṭci, Telugu: నెమునాస్ నేషనల్ టెలివిజన్, romanization: Nemunās nēṣanal ṭelivijan, Kurdish: Televîzyona Neteweyî ya Nemunas) is first television station from the Republic of Nemunas, launched in August 2, 1952.
The television station was the only in the country until 1960, with the launch of the Channel 3 (Canal 3 in Spanish, 3 Kanalas in Lithuanian, சேனல் 3 in Tamil, ఛానెల్ 3 in Telugu and کەناڵی ٣ in Kurdish Sorani). At the time, TNN broadcasted programming in Spanish and Lithuanian, but in 1968, started to broadcast in Tamil, 1971 for Telugu and 1962 in Kurdish. By 1975, TNN started color telecasts in the PAL-N system, which were tested at the time. Official color broadcasts started in 1979, when the NTSC-N system was officially choosed, and full-time color broadcasts started in 1981. Some programs were still in black and white until 1983. In 1992, in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the channel/network, they maked a special program for the 40 years of TNN. By 1996, many Turkish, Iraqi and Syrian minority people who come from Turkey, Iraq and Syria wanted to ban Kurdish programming as a form of terrorism. Madrid, Jul 18 (EFE).- Atletico Madrid presented its two latest summer signings Thursday, Englishman Kieran Trippier, who says his priority is to learn Spanish, and Spain defender Mario Hermoso, whose move to the club was only officially announced earlier in the day.
First to take to the stage for the press presentation at the club's Wanda Metropolitano, a gleaming stadium on the outskirts of the Spanish capital, was Trippier, 28, a right-back arriving from Tottenham Hotspur.
The last time he played competitively at the Wanda stadium was on June 1 for the all-English Champions League final between Spurs and Liverpool, which the London side went on to lose 2-0.
Off the pitch, the Bury-born defender said his top priority was to learn Spanish and integrate himself in the local culture, not only to help him and his family acclimatize to life in Madrid but to help him gel with his teammates and new boss.
Tripper was presented with the number 23 shirt.
Following him at the conference was Hermoso, the club's newest face fresh from Espanyol on a five-year deal.
