  • Past Simple and Past Continuous - English grammar tutorial video lesson

Past simple and past continuous grammar lesson. In this lesson I am going to show how to use and form both the past simple & the past continuous and how to keep them apart.\r
    \r
Take a look at these sentences:\r
    \r
I watched the telly last night.\r
I was watching the telly last night.\r
    \r
The first sentences contains a past simple, the second sentence is in the past continuous. In this lesson Im going to show you how to form a past simple and how to form a past continuous and when to use past simple andwhen to use a past continuous and more important the difference between the two. First we are going to take a look at how to form these past tenses. As you might know in the English language we have regular and irregular verbs. And this this is important to remember when forming a past simple. To make a past simple for the regular verbs, we use the base form of the verb and add ed.\r
    \r
    For example:\r
    He worked late last night\r
    \r
    \r
The irregular verbs have their own and unique past tense so you need to study those carefully.\r
    I bought a new t-shirt yesterday.\r
The infinitive form of the verb bought is to buy. With the past continuous\r
we do not need to worry about regular and irregular verbs. Because all verbs that take a past continous whether theyre regular or irregular, are formed by using was or were, the past tenses of the verb to be, and the base form of the verb and -ing.\r
    \r
    For example:\r
    He was working last night\r
    I was buying a t-shirt, when I saw her yesterday.\r
Now lets have a look at how to use a past simple and how to use a past continuous and how to keep them apart. we use a past simple for vities that were finished in the past, we usually use a time frame:\r
    \r
    He worked late last night.\r
    \r
Here last night is what we consider timeframe.\r
    \r
    I bought a new T-shirt yesterday\r
    \r
Here yesterday is a timeframe. A past continuous is used for ivities started and finished in the past, but we want emphasized duration: so we want to show the other person the other listener or reader that the ion lasted for quite some time.\r
    \r
    For example:\r
He was working all night so we want emphasize that it lasted the entire night. we also use past continuous form for an ongoing ion in the past interrupted by a sudden event. For example:\r
I was buying a t-shirt when I ran into her so I was doing something and then suddenly a\r
friend came up to me thats when I ran into her. Please note that for the interruption we use a past simple so we often find a past continuous and a past simple in the same sentence with the past continuous showing us that it was a continuing ivity and the past simple showing the interruption of that ivity.

  • Good Tips for Caring for Your Dog's Teeth

    MORE INFO → http://istheonlinedogtrainer.club/

Always remember that untreated dental problems in dogs can cause tooth loss and, ultimately, can produce painful abscesses and systemic infections throughout your dog's body.

These are some useful tips to take care of your dog's teeth.

    1. Brush regularly.

To start a good oral care routine for your dog, take the time to brush your pet's teeth 2 or 3 times a week. Like humans, dogs need proper brushing to keep their teeth clean.

    2. Use wet wipes for dogs.

Wet wipes for dogs are an excellent alternative to toothbrushes and are very beneficial for pets that simply do not tolerate brushing. These wipes are soft, disposable and designed to clean your dog's teeth and gums carefully. In addition, the wipes come in different flavors, so you can use the one that your dog likes best.

    3. Offer chewable dental treats.

There are many chewable treats available in the market that are designed to help keep your dog's teeth cleaner. These chewable treats help control plaque and tartar on the teeth of dogs.

    4. Give him synthetic bones.

Chewing raw bones also helps keep your dog's teeth healthy and strong. If it is not possible to administer raw bones daily, try synthetic bones specifically designed to strengthen the gums and teeth of your dog.

    5. Eliminate food particles.

When your pet has finished eating, take a good look at his mouth. If you notice food particles, simply remove them.

    6. Offer dry and crunchy foods.

You must offer your dog specially formulated dry food, or crunchy foods that can decrease the formation of plaque and tartar. Soft food can stick to the teeth and cause plaque and decay.

    7. To look after your dog's teeth, look for signs of problems.

As the owner of a responsible pet, you should monitor the oral health of your pet. For example, take a breath test once a month. Just smell your dog's breath to see if there is a bad smell.

Another thing you can do is check your pet's lips. Once a week, lift your dog's lips and carefully examine his gums and teeth. The gums should be pink, and there should be no signs of swelling. In addition, the teeth should look clean, without any brown tartar.

    8. Visit a professional.

To take care of your dog's teeth from time to time, take your pet to see a veterinary dentist. Professional cleaning and regular monitoring will help to maintain oral hygiene and allow the timely diagnosis of any oral problem.

  • Monster Raid Basic tips tricks and cheats to get started

Monster Raid Basic tips tricks and cheats to get started\r
    \r
More tips can be found here\r
    \r
    \r
    1. Exploit elemental weaknesses!\r
    \r
Each monster has an elemental type that has a weakness, but is also strong against another element. Fire is strong against physical, and physical is strong against water, and water is strong against fire. Theres also light and dark, and these elements are strong against each other. If this is too much for you to remember, just keep this in mind: when youre targeting an enemy to attack, notice that the targets around the enemies will be different colors. A yellow target means normal damage, a green target is strong damage, and a red target means reduced damage.\r
    \r
    2. Complete the quests!\r
    \r
Quests are optional missions that change daily. You can see what you currently have by tapping the clipboard icon on the main menu. You can see what objectives you need to fulfill and what kind of rewards you can expect from them. Try to do as many of these as you can, as sometimes they will offer diamonds as one of the rewards, which is this games premium currency! Just remember though that if you dont complete one in time before the day is over, itll switch to a new quest!\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    3. Combine monsters!\r
    \r
Aside from earning experience from battles, you can also level up your monsters outside of them by combining them. If you have extra monsters that you dont plan on raising, you can fuse them with another monster to power up that base monster. If you use monsters of the same type, they receive bonus experience, so always try to match the types!\r
    \r
    4. Enchant your monsters!\r
    \r
In addition to combining, you can also “enchant” your monsters. Think of enchanting like a separate level from your monsters normal level. When you enchant a monster, they gain a +1 on their portrait. The maximum enchant level is equal to the monsters regular level, so for example a level 5 monster can go up to +5. Enchanting provides big stat boosts to your monster, but in order to do it you need special materials and some coins. When you select the monster, you can see what material you need. If you tap on it, the info window will tell you where you can find the material.\r
    \r
    5. Check the monster book!\r
    \r
If youre looking for detailed stats on each of the monsters, consult the monster book! You can access it by tapping the menu button at the bottom left and tapping on the blue book. The monster book gives you monster stats, its evolution forms, and most importantly, where to find them! If youre hunting down a specific monster, be sure to check here first!\r

  • 10 PHONE LIFE HACKS Youve NEVER Seen Before! Lost On Silent? Find Your Phone!!

Hey guys!! I hope you like these hacks!! Dont forget to enter the giveaway, check the rules on my last video!\r
    \r
    Phone Life Hacks:\r
    \r
1 When you go out and you get ready, you put everything on your bag, but youre afraid that you are going to scratch your new phone with your keys. So to avoid this you can take your case and put it the other way around and that way your phone will be super safe of scratches while its in your purse.\r
    \r
2 So next Im going to show you three easy ways to make a phone holder, They are pretty popular already but really cool too, so the first one is to just use a pair of sunglasses. The second one its pretty impressive, you just need a bottle cap and make some little cuts on the sides like so, and your phone will stay up! \r
The last one is my favorite and is using a tape case, I ually already show you how to decorate one in one of my old videos, but just in case youre new or didnt know this, here it is! I think its super cool and perfect for your desk. And you can also use it to watch videos. \r
    \r
3 I dont know if it happens to you but my phones power button is tiny, and sometimes at night I cant seem to find it, so I discovered that there is an option in setting, where you can turn on the screen by double tapping, what makes using the phone a lot easier at night. Of course I dont know of it will work with your phone, but you should definitely try it.\r
    \r
4 And my phone also has another option that I dont know if other phones have, perfect for winter, for when you use gloves, because regular gloves usually dont work on smartphones. And it is on settings and as you can see it is a gloves mode, so you dont have to worry about buying special gloves for winter. Let me know if your phone also has this feature because I would love to know!\r
    \r
5 You can have a regular lockscreen on your phone, or an emergency lockscreen. You can do it with any app that allows you to add text, Im using snapseed, which is free, so just choose the pic you like and add your more relevant info, you can change the font and size, like your name, medical information or an emergency cont, so for example if you lose your phone the person who finds it can cont you, at least if they have good intentions!\r
    \r
6 If you are anything like me, you surely love instagram, I love taking pictures and selfies and then editing them, so I will show you a trick in vsco cam in case you didnt know, so instead of editing all your pics the same way to get a cool feed you can copy the edits from one pic and paste them on your last photo, or on any photos you want so you dont have to edit all of your pictures one by one, and still have the perfect theme!\r
    \r
7 But you know sometimes even if you edit all your pictures the same way, when you upload them they ended up not matching your feed completely, and youre like why??\r
So one thing you can do is create a new instagram account, with another email that you may have, and then make it private. That way you can upload your pictures there first and see if they look good together, and delete and reupload them as many times as you want before uploading them to your real account. There are apps that do this for you, but you have to pay for them so, this is an simple way to test your pics!\r
    \r
8 If you are studying and the lights go off, a super cool trick you can do is place your flashlight underneath a bottle of water and it willas a lamp, it gives a decent amount of light and really is also super pretty. This hack is also pretty popular, but it is so cool, that I have to show you guys, in case you didnt know!\r
    \r
9 So Im sure that when you go to bed, you go to bed with your phone, and that can be bad for your sleep because of the blue light from the screen tells our brains that is daytime and we should be awake! So a way to avoid this is using an app called twilight, which takes out the blue light from the screen, making it redder, so that way you can use your phone at night and not lose sleep over it!\r
    \r
10 So youre just hanging out and suddenly youre like….where is my phone?? And it is on silent! But dont worry! You can still find it. So go to google play, with the email you have on your phone, and download android device manager, and it will download the app on your phone, then you can go to device manager, and make it sound, and it will sound at full volume, so you can find the phone even if it is in the weirdest place! \r
    \r

  • Travel Planet - Bodas Masái, Kenia (Kenya Masai's Wedding )

Africa, with its many nations and tribes, is very rich in different wedding traditions. An old African proverb says, "A man without a wife is like a vase without flowers."
The Ndebele people live in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Mother-in-law of the Ndebele bride makes her a "jocolo". The Jocolo is a five-paneled, beaded goatskin apron. During ceremonies this apron is worn by all married women.

The Shona people live in Zimbabwe and southern Mozambique. Dowry or "roora" is a regular part of their weddings. It is paid to the bride's family as a sign of respect. The bride decides when she will go to her groom. She can arrive at night with her female cousins escorting her. She arrives during the day when she wants to surprise her future husband. She then wears white from head to toe. It is believed that by doing so nobody can see her.

As soon as members of groom's family notice her they start dancing and ululating. The groom's family begins preparations for a party. It takes some time, so the bride is encouraged to keep walking through the village. People are very happy as her arrival and giving birth to babies is going to enlarge their community.

The procession ends when the mother-in-law escorts the bride to her new home. There the bride gets presents and is being pleaded to remove her veil. It is a sign for the party to begin. Such parties last all through the night.

The Yoruba people live in Nigeria and some other parts of Western Africa. Out of Africa Yoruba communities exist in Brazil, the USA, Jamaica, Haiti etc. One of the ceremonies held at the Yoruba weddings is tasting. In this ceremony the bride and groom taste for example peppercorns for bitterness, honey for happiness and dried fish for nourishment.

Egyptian weddings are often arranged. At the engagement part a groom-to-be gives his bride-to-be a money known as Mahr. This money is used to buy jewelery called Shabka and furniture. The groom gives her a ring which she wears on her right hand. Before the wedding henna tattoos are applied on bride's feet and hands.

The wedding starts with the performance of Zaffa music which involves traditional bendir drums, bagpipes, horns etc. The wedding ceremony is performed in mosque or church.

At the wedding feast the happy couple sits on Kosha chairs raised on a platform. Kofta meatballs and rose water drink called Sharpat are just two delicacies served at the wedding meal. In Egypt women pinch the bride on her wedding day. It means good luck.
    Father blesses his daughter
At the wedding ceremony held by the Masai (Maasai) nation of Kenya the father of the bride blesses her by spitting on her head and breasts. Then she leaves with her husband. While walking to her new home she never looks back as she believes that she will turn to stone.
    Henna tattoos being applied
Swahilli nation of Kenya bathe bride in sandalwood oils and apply henna tattoos on her limbs. Somo or a woman elder instructs the bride how to satisfy her husband. The somo sometimes hides under the bed in case some unexpected problems appear.
Semi-nomadic Samburu nation lives in Kenya too. For the Samburu people presents prepared by groom (two goatskins, two copper earrings, a milk container, a sheep) are especially important.

Polygamous marriages are common in the Wodabee nation of Niger. Marriages called „coogal“ are arranged by parents during couple's infancy. There are also marriages as result of love. Such marriages are called „teegal“.

Groom's family offers a price to the bride's family. If it is excepted the bride and groom are married. A bride lives with her husband until her pregnancy. Then she returns to her mother's home, where she will remain for the next three to four years.

With the birth of a baby the woman becomes a boofeydo or "someone who has made an error." Being a boofeydo means that she can not see or speak with her husband. The husband can not express any interest in her or the baby.

After two to three years, the woman will be able to visit her husband, but not live with him. Finally, when the woman's mother buys everything that is needed for bride's home, she and the baby return to the husband.
Between 1000 and 1500 Karo (Kara) people live on the east banks of the Omo River in south Ethiopia. To enhance the beauty of the Karo bride her abdomen is tattooed with different symbols. The Karo man can have as many wives as he can afford. Usually he has two or three wives.

  • Timelapse - DSLR tips. Part 1: Shooting

Timelapse is fun! Part 1 of a complete tutorial on making a timelapse video with an DSLR. Advice on equipment - tripod and intervalometer - plus how to set up the shot and work out the correct intervals to create a dynamic timelapse.\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    \r
Hi this is Tom Greenwood from sydneyportraits.com.au. \r
    \r
In this clip were talking about one of my favourite things which is timelapse. In this clip were going to talk about shooting timeouts and in part two, which you can go to by clicking here, well look at pulling it all together in post-production using QuickTime Player 7. \r
    \r
Now, one of the great things about making timelapse in this digital age is it you really dont need a lot of equipment. So first of all, heres a quick rundown of what you do need.\r
    \r
First of all you need a tripod. The quality of the tripod really depends on the conditions that youre shooting in and the weight of your equipment. If your camera is not too heavy and is no wind then a pretty cheap plasticy tripod will be fine. But really Id recommend something a bit sturdier particularly if theres any kind of breeze blowing, because I really cant stress it enough: stability, keeping the camera still, is absolutely essential.\r
    \r
Next is something I find very hard to say. Its an intervalometer. This is something you plug into your camera. It allows you to control the number of shots and the spaces in between them. A timelapse is really a sequence of still photos taken at regular intervals and then played one after another very quickly. I picked up my intervalometer very cheaply on eBay. I think it was about $20 or $30.\r
    \r
And finally you need fairly large memory cards because youre going to be shooting a lot of stills and you may be shooting in Raw format. So youll need lots of space. Id say 16 GB, 32 GB. \r
    \r
Now you might be wondering why we dont just shoot some video and then just speed it up in post-production. While thats definitely an option and it does work quite well, there are some pros and cons. On the positive side, its very easy to just set the camera up press record and let it roll. No fiddling around working out intervals, how many shots you need, that kind of thing.\r
    \r
But on the downside, it means you really cant do long timelapses. One of the beauties of the still image timelapse is it that you can do it over hours and days, you do over weeks or months or years if you like. So, speeding up video is good for maybe a minute or two but beyond that it really doesnt work.\r
    \r
Another downside is, while the resolution of video is fine, with still capture you can get really high definition and that means when you use timelapse, perhaps in a video, you can zoom in without any real loss of quality.\r
    \r
So were out in the field. We have the tripod setup with the camera on it and the first thing to do is to frame up your timelapse shot. So the important thing is to ensure that there are moving elements in the shot. They dont have to move very fast. Here, for example, we have the clouds in the sky moving slowly, we have the boats on the water and maybe the tide coming in and out as well \r
    \r
Next we want to make sure were working on a clean or empty memory card. When it comes to processing the pictures later, as well see in the next video, it saves a lot of time if the only images on the card are of the ual timelapse.\r
