Autumn Equinox 2010

An equinox occurs twice a year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the center of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth's equator. The term equinox can also be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage happens. The name "equinox" is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, the night and day are approximately equally long. It may be better understood to mean that latitudes L and -L north and south of the Equator experience nights of equal length.
At an equinox, the Sun is at one of two opposite points on the celestial sphere where the celestial equator (i.e. declination 0) and ecliptic intersect. These points of intersection are called equinoctial points: classically, the vernal point and the autumnal point. By extension, the term equinox may denote an equinoctial point.
An equinox happens each year at two specific moments in time (rather than two whole days), when there is a location on the Earth's equator where the center of the Sun can be observed to be vertically overhead, occurring around March 20/21 and September 22/23 each yearoint.

September equinox commemorations
The September equinox marks the first day of Mehr or Libra in the Iranian calendar. It is one of the Iranian festivals called Jashne Mihragan, or the festival of sharing or love in Zoroastrianism.
In Korea, Chuseok is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday celebrated around the Autumn Equinox.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, oftentimes near the autumnal equinox day, and is an official holiday in China and in many countries with a significant Chinese minority. As the lunar calendar is not synchronous with the Gregorian calendar, this date could be anywhere from mid-September to early October.
The traditional harvest festival in the United Kingdom was celebrated on the Sunday of the full moon closest to the September equinox.
The September equinox was "New Year's Day" in the French Republican Calendar, which was in use from 1793 to 1805. The French First Republic was proclaimed and the French monarchy was abolished on September 21, 1792, making the following day (the equinox day that year) the first day of the "Republican Era" in France. The start of every year was to be determined by astronomical calculations following the real Sun and not the mean Sun.

The start to finish boss race battle against Wolfgang in Skylanders Superchargers. This race is unlocked by placing the Wolfgang trophy from the Sky Racing Action pack (which comes with Astroblast and their plane, Sun Racer), and then finishing a regular race at the Clock Rock raceway first, which you can see here: \r

Defeating Wolfgang in this race unlocks him as a playable charer for future races.\r

This race was done with some weapon upgrades to the Sky Slicer. I tried to do the race with the new Sun Racer (no upgrades), but wasnt able to get Wolfgang down to under 50% health so I switched over to a more tricked out vehicle. (EDIT: I found out this is because I was using Sun Racers attack wrong -- unlike other vehicles you have to hold down the attack button rather than repeatedly pressing it. Ryanair sufre una estafa de 4,5 millones de euros en China

Estafan a Ryanair cuatro millones y medio de euros a través de una transferencia bancaria efectuada en China. La aerolínea de bajo coste irlandesa comunicó esta estafa, que se produjo la semana pasada y sobre la cual sigue investigando. Según el diario ‘The Irish Times’, la compañía usa dólares para comprar el combustible que mueve su flota y los fondos supuestamente sustraídos podrían proceder de esas operaciones.

La Oficina Irlandesa de Recuperación de Bienes Criminales se puso en contacto con agencias homólogas en Asia para esclarecer el caso. Aun así, los responsables de Ryanair prevén disponer pronto de este dinero ya que los fondos han sido retenidos.

Water your plants if you receive less than one inch of rain each week. (To know how much rain you are getting, you can place an empty tuna can outside and measure the depth of water with a measuring stick.)\r

Chinese Stealth Fighter J-31 歼-31 鹘鹰 Air Show,(2014

The Shenyang J-31,(or "FC-31 fifth Generation Multi-Purpose Medium Fighter")[6] also known as the "Gyrfalcon" (鹘鹰), or "Falcon Hawk" by some military enthusiasts,[7][8] is a twin-engine, mid-size fifth-generation jet fighter currently under development by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. The fighter has also been referred to as the "F-60" or "J-21 Snowy Owl" (雪鸮) in some media report

Development

A photo of a model labeled F-60 was posted on the Internet in September 2011.[10] In June 2012, photos and camera video clips started to emerge on internet about a heavily overwrapped possible F-60 prototype being road-transferred on a highway, earning the nickname "the zongzi plane" (粽子机) among Chinese netizens, though some suspect it of merely being a L-15 trainer aircraft.[11] Pictures of a possibly fully assembled aircraft parking on an airfield emerged on September 15–16, 2012. The F-60 is reported to be the export version, where the J-31 would be the domestic Chinese version of the same fighter Chinese aviation expert Xu Yongling has called the J-31 an export-oriented low-end latest generation warplane.

Flight testing

The prototype conducted a high-speed taxiing test and briefly became airborne. On 31 October 2012, prototype No. 31001 conducted the model's maiden flight., It was accompanied by two J-11 fighters in a ten-minute test flight with its landing gear lowered.

With the maiden test flight of the prototype No.31001 on October 31, 2012, China became the second nation after the 1991 Advanced Tactical Fighter fly off, to have two stealth fighter designs in field-testing at the same time,The aircraft has continued a limited test program, with footage emerging of further flights which took place in February 2013.

Public unveiling

A 1/4 scale model of the J-31 was shown at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition 2012, hinting at a desire to offer the aircraft for export, as an alternative for those countries that cannot purchase the F-35.

The J-31 airframe was publicly unveiled on November 12, 2014 at Zhuhai Airshow.[22][23] In TV broadcast of the unveiling, AVIC chairman Lin Zuoming claimed that funding for the aircraft came entirely from the company, with no input from military

As typical in flight displays of fighter jets, afterburners were engaged throughout the maneuvers. Nevertheless, Western media claimed it to be evidence of aerodynamic inefficiencies, concluding that the aircraft "bleeds a lot of energy and the pilot had a hard time keeping the nose up." Flights were done when the jet was "clean," so results would be worse when fitted with a combat loadout. However, a large-scale model of the FC-31 on display did show some detail changes of configuration compared to the flying prototype.

At the 2015 Dubai Airshow, AVIC released more details regarding the aircraft's capabilities. The company revealed it is still looking for a partner in the aircraft project, and is actively marketing the aircraft to People's Liberation Army Air Force. AVIC's plan is to have a production model first flight by 2019.

Future[edit]
Due to mixed reports from China, it is unknown as to whether the J-31 will be inducted as a naval fighter, or only intended for foreign customers. In one interview with China's state media, the J-31's chief designer Sun Cong expressed his hope that the aircraft would follow his J-15 onto China's aircraft carriers.However, officials from AVIC only said that the aircraft was intended for export as a competitor to the F-35

Pakistan is reportedly interest in acquiring 30 to 40 of these aircraft. While the J-31 has been touted as a rival to the American F-35 in the export market, it remains to be seen how successful this will be. With the exception of Pakistan, China does not share the same kind of strategic relationships that the U.S. does—countries that are both willing and can afford to purchase the aircraft

New scaled models displayed at the Zhuhai Airshow revealed several planned differences from the 31001 flying prototype. The differences include a stealthier cockpit, a next-generation helmet mounted sight, holographic cockpit displays, EOTS, aerodynamic revisions and more powerful engines.

Según recoge The Daily Mail, citando a medios del gigante asiático, Wang tenía 17 años cuando decidió vender ese órgano en el mercado negro.

El adolescente ansiaba tener los lujosos dispositivos del momento para demostrar a sus compañeros de escuela que 'estaba a la moda', pero sus padres no tenían recursos para comprarlos.

Se reporta que Wang encontró a tres intermediarios en la plataforma de mensajería china QQ que le ayudaron a realizar la operación.

Para esto, Wang viajó de su provincia de Anhui a Hunan, mientras que sus padres no estaban al tanto de sus planes. El riñón fue extirpado en una clínica clandestina y vendido a un paciente.

El menor recibió 3.200 dólares, el 10 % del beneficio total, y se compró de inmediato un iPhone 4 y un iPad 2.

Sus padres descubrieron todo cuando vieron que poseía estos dispositivos y le preguntaron con qué dinero los había adquirido.

La madre denunció el caso a la Policía, y posteriormente los tres intermediarios y dos médicos fueron condenados a prisión.

Mientras tanto, la salud del joven se deterioró seriamente: sufre de insuficiencia renal y está prácticamente discapacitado. Además, se informa que el joven pasa todo el tiempo en cama y necesita del cuidado permanente de su familia. Además, tuvo que dejar sus estudios y vive de subsidios sociales.

30 Minute Salted Caramel Cinnamon Rolls (VEGAN!)

Today we are making some vegan 30 minute no-rise salted caramel cinnamon rolls! I dont know about you, but I never want to wait for dough to rise. Nobody has time for that haha! (kidding..kind of..) This recipe only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. Recipe below! \r

RECIPE:\r
Dough:\r
2 cups all-purpose flour\r
4 tbsp baking powder\r
2 tbsp sugar\r
1/4 cup vegan butter or coconut oil\r
1 cup non-dairy milk (add slowly in case you dont need all of it)\r

Cinnamon filling:\r
1/2 cup brown sugar\r
2 tsp cinnamon\r
3-4 tbsp butter to spread on the dough\r
\r
Caramel sauce:\r
I used 1 bag of Cocomels (bought on Amazon) and melted them with a couple tbsp non dairy milk. Here are some caramel sauce recipes you can make from scratch:\r

Oven: 400 F/ 200C\r
Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch\r
