Afghan boy with cerebral palsy gets new life in Spain
Valencia, Spain, May 12 (EFE).- A 7-year-old Afghan boy afflicted with cerebral palsy has begun a new life with his family here in Mediterranean Spain, spending the first night at Valencia's Hospital La Fe.
Osman is in stable condition and undergoing treatment for mild anemia, the hospital said.
The long journey that Osman and his family began in Afghanistan in early April ended Tuesday night, when they landed in Spain on a flight from Greece, where they spent weeks in the Idomeni refugee camp.

"Ya no puede caminar" is film about Pacheco, a little boy, has a fear of small creatures (insects, worms, lizards and so on). Barcelona, Dec 18 (EFE).- Kazakh artist Tolkyn Sakbayeva, born 25 years ago with cerebral palsy and with little hope of being able to speak or use a pencil, has now established herself with her exposition "Kaleidoscope" as a outstanding painter for the force and color of her work, which is expressive, lively and full of light.
The exposition at Barcelona's Espacio Espronceda is her second in this city, where she has lived for a little over two years and for the first time, she told EFE, she is showing large-format paintings almost three meters (10 feet) wide.

Madrid, Jan 29 (EFE).- The 2015 staging of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) has been draped in the green shades of Africa, and especially West Africa, where countries like Gambia are making a steadfast move to protect and strengthen their tourist offerings.
FITUR this year features 12 percent more exhibitors than in 2014, of which about 2 percent is due to increased participation from Africa, a market that seeks to recover the tourist dollars it has lost in recent months.
After agriculture, tourism is one of the activities that contribute most to the GDP of many African countries. In some African states the figure can reach up to one-fifth of the gross domestic product.
