    1 tbsp. lamb lard\r
    1 big red pepper\r
    2 onions\r
    2-3 zucchini (with flowers)\r
    handful of fresh parsley\r

    4 tbsp. homemade apricot jam\r
    2 tbsp. oyster sauce\r
    1 tbsp. hypericum perforatum oil\r
    2 tbsp. corn starch mixed with water\r
    3 tbsp. rice wine\r

    Asian cuisine most often refers to East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean), Southeast Asian cuisine and South Asian cuisine. In much of Asia, the term does not include the countrys native cuisines. For example, in Hong Kong and mainland China, Asian cuisine is a general umbrella term for Japanese cuisine, Korean cuisine, Filipino cuisine, Thai cuisine, Vietnamese cuisine, Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine and Indonesian cuisine; but Chinese cuisine and Indian cuisine are excluded.The term Asian cuisine might also be used to address the eating establishments that offer wide array of Asian dishes without rigid cuisine boundaries; such as selling satay, gyoza or lumpia for appetizer, som tam, rojak or gado-gado for salad, offering chicken teriyaki, nasi goreng or beef rendang as main course, tom yam and laksa as soup, and cendol or ogura ice for dessert. In modern fusion cuisine, the term Asian cuisine might refer to the culinary exploration of cross-cultural Asian cuisine traditions. For example combining the culinary elements of Vietnam and Japanese, Thai and Malay, or Indonesian and Chinese.\r
    Japanese cuisine is the food—ingredients, preparation and way of eating—of Japan. The traditional food of Japan is based on rice with miso soup and other dishes, each in its own utensil, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. The side dishes often consist of fish, pickled vegetables, and vegetables cooked in broth. Fish is common in the traditional cuisine. It is often grilled. Fish may be served raw as sashimi or in sushi. Seafood and vegetables are also deep-fried in a light batter as tempura.\r
    Apart from rice, staples include noodles, such as soba and udon. Japan has many simmered dishes such as fish products in broth called oden, or beef in sukiyaki and nikujaga. Foreign food, in particular Chinese food in the form of noodles in soup called ramen and fried dumplings, gyoza, and western food such as curry and hamburger steaks are commonly found in Japan. Historically, the Japanese shunned meat, but with the modernization of Japan in the 1860s, meat-based dishes such as tonkatsu became common.\r
    Chinese cuisine includes styles originating from the diverse regions of China, plus styles of Chinese people in other parts of the world. The history of Chinese cuisine in China stretches back for thousands of years and has changed from period to period and in each region according to climate, imperial fashions, and local preferences. Over time, techniques and ingredients from the cuisines of other cultures were integrated into the cuisine of the Chinese peoples due both to imperial expansion and from the trade with nearby regions in pre-modern times as well as from Europe and the New World in the modern period.\r
    Styles and tastes also varied by class, region, and ethnic background. This led to an unparallelled range of ingredients, techniques, dishes and eating styles in what could be called Chinese food, leading Chinese to pride themselves on eating a wide variety of foods while remaining true to the spirit and traditions of Chinese food culture.\r

    Hi Guys, today Ill show you how to make Sweet and Spicy Baked Chicken Wings. These wings are crispy and spicy with a hint of sweetness. Theres no messy deep frying and tons of oil. \r

    Heat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Im using 1.5 pounds of chicken wings - feel free to double or triple the recipe. In a bowl, add the chicken wings, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp ground black pepper and 1 tsp garlic powder. Mix really well. Place the chicken on an oiled baking sheet. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Take them out, turn over the wings and cook for another 20 minutes. When the wings are almost done, make the sweet and spicy sauce.\r

    In a saucepan, mix ½ tsp ground ginger powder, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 4 tablespoons Sriracha or your favorite chili sauce, 2 tablespoons honey and 2 tablespoons butter. Bring this to a boil and turn off the heat. \r

    Place the cooked chicken wings in the sauce and toss in the saucepan. Heat the sauce for about 2 minutes coating the wings until it almost caramelizes on the wings. If youre using a large quantity of chicken, make the sauce in a large pan so its easier to mix the wings. \r

    Sweet Potato Gnocchi\r
    INGREDIENTS:\r
    Garlic\r
    ½ cup onion – finely chopped\r
    ½ cup chickpeas\r
    2 tbsp Mac and cheese sauce ( Recipe from day 5) \r
    Ramen Stock \r
    ½ cup black beans\r
    ½ a lemon\r
    Sweet potato\r
    2 tbsp flour\r
    \r
    Finely slice some garlic ( Goodfellas Style!) and scrape into a paste. \r
    In a greased pan add your onion and garlic pate and allow to cook down. \r
    Add in ½ a cup of chickpeas until they slightly start to brown. \r
    Add in your mac and cheese sauce. \r
    Add a splash of ramen stock. \r
    Add in your black beans, squeeze in lemon and add salt and pepper to taste. Toss in your lemon scrap for extra flavor.\r
    Place a sweet potato in oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes or until super tender. \r
    Peel the skin off the sweet potato and lightly mash it. Add salt to extr moisture. \r
    Now you can completely mash your sweet potato and add in your flour. Carefully fold it in. Do not over mix. \r
    Place small scoops of sweet potato into boiling water. Boil for about 3 minutes and remove. \r
    Transfer your sweet potato gnocchi to the pan with chickpeas and black beans and serve. \r

    2 packages of cream cheese\r
    1/2 cup of sugar\r
    2 large egg\r

    1 tsp. of vanilla extr\r
    3 table spoon of Baileys Irish cream\r
    6 oz of semi sweet chocolate ( I use milk cooking chocolate)\r

    For the Ganache\r
    4 oz of dark chocolate\r
    1/2 heavy cream \r

  • Triple Butterscotch Cake Recipe

    This is an old-fashioned butterscotch cake recipe. Every layer of the cake is infused with butterscotch flavor from the cake to the filling to the frosting to the crushed butterscotch candies for a beautiful sparkling cake. \r
    \r
    Butterscotch Sauce:\r
    Note - You can buy a quality sauce from the supermarket, just warm it for 15 seconds in the microwave before using in the recipe.\r
    \r
    1/4 cup unsalted butter\r
    1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar\r
    1/2 cup heavy cream\r
    1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extr\r
    \r
    Place all ingredients into a sauce pan. Whisk until mixed. Place on medium heat until it boils. Reduce heat to low and cook for 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Sauce will be thin. This will be used in the cake and the frosting.\r
    \r
    Butterscotch Cake:\r
    \r
    15 ounce yellow cake mix\r
    1/2 cup sour cream or vanilla yogurt\r
    2-3.25 ounce packages Cook & Serve Butterscotch pudding\r
    1 cup sugar\r
    1 cup cake flour\r
    1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled\r
    3 eggs\r
    1 1/3 cup cream soda, regular not diet soda\r
    1 teaspoon vanilla\r
    \r
    Preheat oven to 325F. Spray 3 8-inch pans, 2 9-inch pans, or a 10-inch square pan with baking spray. Place all ingredients in a mixer and blend on medium until smooth. Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until done. After unmolding the cake, level it and drizzle sauce on the cake layers to infuse the cake with extra flavoring. \r

    Butterscotch Frosting\r
    \r
    1/2 cup butter, softened\r
    Remainder of butterscotch sauce, about 1/3 cup\r
    1 teaspoon vanilla\r
    16 oz. confectioners sugar\r
    3-4 tablespoons milk\r
    \r
    Cream together butter, butterscotch sauce, and vanilla until smooth. Alternate adding milk and sugar on low until combined.\r
    Turn up the speed and cream until fluffy.\r
    \r
    Drip Down Butterscotch Icing: (optional)\r
    \r
    2 oz. butterscotch chips\r
    1-2 tablespoons cream soda\r
    1/4 to 1/3 cup confectioners sugar\r
    2 teaspoons butter\r
    \r
    Place butterscotch chips and butter in a bowl. Microwave until melted 30-40 seconds. Add cream soda and blend well. Stir in sugar.\r
    \r
    Assembly:\r
    \r
    Place frosting in between the layers. Stack one layer on top another. If you want to have a butterscotch sauce on top, then place topping on the top layer. Coarse sugar can be sprinkled on top of the sauce. If you want frosting on top, then frost the top of the cake. Finally, frost the sides of the cake.\r
    \r
    Optionally, crush 16-20 pieces of butterscotch hard candy. Place unwrapped candy in a plastic bag and close the bag. Place a second plastic bag around it. Pound the candy until they break into small pieces. Finally place the crushed candies in the frosting. \r

    Drip the butterscotch icing on the sides.\r

    Japchae - Korean Glass Noodles with Stir-fried Vegetables) \r
    \r
    Ingredients \r
    \r
    For Beef: 1/2 lb. beef, cut into 3 long thin strips (Such as sirloin or chuck)\r
    1 Tablespoon soy sauce\r
    1 Tablespoon sugar\r
    1/2 Tablespoon sesame oil \r
    1/2 Tablespoon mirin (Seasoned rice wine, if you dont have it, leave it out)\r
    1 clove garlic, chopped\r
    \r
    2 eggs, lightly beaten\r
    1/2 medium size onion, thinly sliced\r
    1 Korean chili pepper or 1/4 bell pepper, fine julienne \r
    1/2 large size carrot, fine julienne\r
    5 shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced\r
    \r
    For Spinach: 11-12 oz. fresh spinach (About a bunch)\r
    1 clove garlic, chopped \r
    1/4 teaspoon salt\r
    1 teaspoon sesame oil\r
    1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds\r
    pinch of black pepper\r
    \r
    14 oz. Korean Sweet Potato Noodles (Known as glass noodles or cellophane noodles) \r
    \r
    For Sauce: 1/3 cup soy sauce\r
    1/3 cup sugar or honey\r
    2 Tablespoons sesame oil\r
    1 Tablespoon sesame seeds\r
    black pepper\r
    \r
    Salt, black pepper and vegetable or sesame oil as much needed\r
    \r
    Directions\r
    1. Combine beef and next 5 ingredients for beef in a medium mixing bowl. Toss and coat evenly; let stand at least 10 minutes.\r
    \r
    2. Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. add 1 teaspoon oil; swirl to coat. Add beaten eggs swirl skillet to egg covers surface in a thin layer. Cook until its just set, about 1 minute, then flip over and cook for another minute. Slip omelet onto a plate and let it cool.\r

    3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 teaspoon oil; swirl to coat. Add onion and a pinch of salt to pan; sauté 5 minutes. Remove onion from pan, keep warm. Add 1 teaspoon oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add chili pepper and a pinch of salt to pan; sauté 1 minute. Remove chili pepper from pan, keep warm. Add 1 teaspoon oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add 1 teaspoon oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add carrots and a pinch of salt to pan; sauté 3 minutes. Remove carrot from pan, keep warm. Add 1 teaspoon oil; swirl to coat. Add mushrooms and a pinch of salt* to pan; sauté 2 minutes. Remove from pan, keep warm. Add 1 teaspoon oil; swirl to coat. Add marinated beef to pan; sauté 7 minutes or until cooked through and all moisture has evaporated. Remove from pan, keep warm. \r
    \r
    \r
    4. Bring a large sauce pan of salted water to a boil. Add spinach, cook about 10 seconds, no much longer. Move spinach from the boiling water to ice water immediately. Squeeze out water from spinach as much as you can. Combine squeezed spinach with garlic and next 4 ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix it with you hand. Set aside.\r
    \r
    5. In same water blenched spinach, add Korean sweet potato noodles and 1 Tablespoon oil. Boil noodles according to package directions or 6 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.\r
    \r
    \r
    6. whisk all ingredients for sauce (From soy to black pepper) in a small bowl, set aside. Slice cooled egg omelet into thin ribbons and set aside.\r
    \r
    7. Cut the noodles as needed. In a large mixing bowl or a large plate add noodles and pour sauce. gently mix it until noodles absolve sauce; add stir-fried vegetables and beef, toss gently to combine. Garnish Japchae with reserved egg ribbons and more sesame seeds as desired. \r
    Serve hot or at room temperature. \r

    Noodles (Dried Ramen, udon, buckwheat etc.)\r
    Vegetables (I used sweet pepper and mushrooms) \r
    Scallion\r
    1 Egg\r
    1 1/2 Teaspoon Miso Paste\r
    1 Tablespoon Vinegar \r
    Sriracha \r
    Soy Sauce\r
    Sesame Oil\r
    Honey\r
    \r
    - First boil some water! Enough to cook the noodles and to have a broth, after all this is noodle soup! While you wait for the water to boil start thinly slicing your vegetables. You can use any vegetables really, but I used sweet red pepper, and mushrooms (thinly slicing your vegetables ensures that you vegetables will cook quickly). Once you water comes to a boil add your noodles! I used dried ramen noodles, you can use something else if you want. As your noodles start to cook add the miso paste, vinegar, Sriracha, soy sauce and a splash of sesame oil mix. Then add your whole egg (for a soft boil egg cook for 6 minutes, hardboiled around 10 minutes and take out and put in cool water). If you want the crispy noodles on top then remove some of the noodles and place on a paper towel to dry. Then in a pan add oil and noodles and crisp up! Add sliced vegetables into broth and let it cook down. To balance out the flavors I added a bit of honey. Let it cook down more. Plate and top with chopped scallion, crispy noodle (optional) and egg!\r

    Remember to taste you food throughout the cooking process! You never know what you may need to add or what other flavors you may want in your food! Mix it up and experiment! \r

    Ingredientes: 6 zanahorias, 8 rábanos en tiritas, 500 gr jamón en rebanadas, 1 lechuga orejona, 1 radicchio rebanado, 1 cabeza de envidias, 100 gr germinado de alfalfa o brócoli, 300 gr chícharos, 1 cebolla morada, sal, diente de ajo, 2/3 taza albahaca, 1/4 taza hojas de perejil, 3 cucharadas hierbas frescas, tomillos, romero y mejorana, 3 cucharadas vinagre de vino, sal, 1/2 taza aceite de oliva, 150 gr queso parmesano, 400 gr jitomates cherry.

  • HEALTHY VEGAN MEAL PREP | LOW FAT, OIL FREE

    Healthy vegan meal prep - Full Recipes below \r

    Recipes: \r
    Overnight Oats\r
    \r
    3/4 cup oats \r
    1-1.5 cups Almond milk (or any plant based milk you prefer) \r
    2-3 tsp chia seeds \r
    cinnamon \r
    nutmeg \r
    1 tsp vanilla extr \r
    handful frozen raspberries \r
    Fresh strawberries/berries \r
    \r
    1. Pour oats into jar/container and add almond milk. Stir \r
    2. add chia seeds, spices and vanilla, mix well. \r
    3. Mix through frozen raspberries, add a sweetener if desired \r
    4. Top with fresh berries, place in fridge overnight. \r
    \r
    Creamy pasta salad \r
    \r
    1 packet of pasta of choice ( I used wholemeal) \r
    1 Eggplant \r
    1-2 Zucchini\r
    1 Red capsicum (bell pepper) \r
    Bunch of asparagus \r
    Punnet of cherry tomatoes \r
    \r
    Sauce \r
    2.5 - 1 Cups Unsweetened Almond Milk (* I used Blue Diamond, Original unsweetened) or soy milk \r
    3 Cloves Garlic \r
    1 Medium brown onion \r
    4 Tbs Plain Flour \r
    \r
    1. Chop eggplant, asparagus, capsicum and char grill on a char grill pan \r
    \r
    2. Chop cherry tomatoes in half , season with salt. Bake in oven on 180ºc for about 20 mins or until they start to wilt. Remove \r
    \r
    3. For the sauce, chop onion and garlic and sauté in pot until soft, gradually continue to add almond milk and flour at the same time, whisking simultaneously over a medium heat until the mixture becomes thick and creamy, season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat\r
    \r
    4. Cook pasta according to packet instructions. Drain\r
    \r
    5. Mix through sauce into pasta, add the veggies, season to taste and seperate into 4 containers \r
    \r
    Chickpea, pumpkin and cous cous salad\r
    \r
    2-3 carrots\r
    2 cups pumpkin, chopped into squares \r
    Dukkah (I used table of plenty pistachio dukkah) + salt \r
    2.5 cups cous cous \r
    2.5 cups vegetable stock \r
    1 can chickpeas \r
    3-4 tbs Hummus (I used Ş brand- oil free) \r
    1 tsp whole grain mustard \r
    \r
    1. Pour couscous and stock into pot, cook over medium heat for 2-3 mins, stirring \r
    \r
    2. Chop carrots into coin shape. Boil for about 12 mins (or until fork tender) Place on baking tray and season with salt and dukkah\r
    \r
    3. Chop pumpkin, add to tray, bake in oven on 200ºc for about 30 mins, rotating \r
    \r
    4. Add chickpeas to couscous, mix through hummus and mustard\r
    \r
    5. Add veggies, mix through, place mixture into containers \r
    \r

  • How to make a Healthy Burrito - The Happy Pear Recipe

    Heres our hunger busting burrito recipe - a great one to try for a quick and easy dinner! \r
    A great one to share with friends (young and old) for lunch or dinner! \r
    \r
    Heres the recipe: \r
    \r
    6 pack of wraps or tortillias - (ideally 100% corn or wholemeal but if not white will do fine!)\r
    \r
    Spicy cous cous:\r
    250g wholemeal cous cous\r
    boiling water\r
    1 tsp cumin\r
    1/2 tsp chilli\r
    1/2 tsp salt\r
    1/2 tsp smoked paprika if you have it\r
    \r
    \r
    \r
    Refried beans:\r
    1 can blackbeans/ red beans\r
    3 cloves garlic\r
    Juice of 1 lime\r
    2 tsp cumin \r
    1/2 tsp salt\r
    3 tbsp water\r
    Coriander to garnish\r
    \r
    chunky tomato corn guacamole:\r
    2 ripe avocados\r
    1/2 juice of 1 limes\r
    1/2 cloves of garlic\r
    8 cherry tomatoes\r
    1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin\r
    1/2 teaspoon of salt\r
    pinch of ground chilli\r
    pinch of black pepper\r
    fresh coriander\r
    100 g of cooked sweet corn from a can\r
    \r
    sour cream tahini mayo:\r
    4 tbsp tahini\r
    juice of 1 lime\r
    1 tbsp agave\r
    4 tbsp water\r
    \r
    \r
    Spicy cous cous\r
    For the spicy cous cous boil the kettle, in a bowl mix the cous cous with all the spices, cover with boiling water until covered approx ½ inch above the level of the dry cous cous. Cover with a lid and leave to cook for 5 mins\r
    \r
    Refried beans:\r
    Add 2 tbsp of oil to your frying pan and turn on medium heat, chop the garlic finely and fry the garlic until it starts to go golden, rinse and wash your canned beans. Add to the garlic in the hot frying pan and add in the rest of the ingredients, stir regularly and start to mash slightly with a wooden spoon. This should take about 4 mins once ready, season to your pallet and once tasting great rip up some coriander to add freshness and vitality.\r
    \r
    Guacamole:\r
    chop the avocados into small bite sized piece into a big bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mash slightly so everything comes together - adjust the seasoning if you want to but it should taste great as it is!\r
    \r
    Sour cream tahini:\r
    add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well until reaches a mayonnaise like consistency\r
    \r
    take your wrap and add the ingredients as you like - roll it and heat on the pan till it starts to crisp up and is warm - enjoy!\r

    Dishes for bento lunch box\r
    【Ingredients】\r
    *Simmered dish\r
    chicken thigh, bamboo shoot, carrot, shiitake mashroom\r
    seasoning (sake, mirin(seasoning liquor), soy sauce)\r
    *Salad\r
    broad beans, potato\r
    seasoning (salt, pepper, mayonnaise)\r
    *Japanese Rolled omlet\r
    for 3 eggs\r
    seasoning (2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp mirin, 1/2 tsp soy sauce)\r
    *Deep-fried chikuwa with cheese\r
    chikuwa (tube-shaped fish paste cake), processed cheese\r
    breadcrumbs, tempura flour (or cake flour, eggwash and breadcrumbs)\r

    【Directions】\r
    *Simmered dish\r
    ①Cut chicken thigh into small pieces. Cut bamboo shoot, carrot, and shiitake mashroom as well.\r
    ②Heat sesami oil in a pot, then put chicken thigh and fry until brown.\r
    ③When the chicken thigh is brown, add carrot (takes more time to heat) and fry.\r
    ④Add bamboo shoot and shiitake mashroom, and fry.\r
    ⑤Add water up to the ingredients to be under the water, when it starts boiling turn the heat to the low and skim off the scum with a raddle.\r
    ⑥Add sake, mirin, and soy sauce and simmer until the ingredients are soft.\r
    (if you dont have mirin, use sugar.)\r
    ⑦Turn the heat off, then put the lid on the pot, and leave it to cool.\r
    *Salad (broad beans and potato)\r
    ①Peel the potato and boil.\r
    ②Remove the beans from the pod, and boil a little in boiling water with some salt, then peel them.\r
    ③Combine the potato and broad beans in a bowl and add salt and pepper, then add mayonnaise and mix.\r
    *Japanese Rolled omlet\r
    ①Add 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp mirin and 1/2 tsp soy sauce to 3 eggs and beat it well.\r
    Fry it with some oil on a frying pan.\r
    *Deep-fried chikuwa with cheese\r
    ①Cut chikuwa in half if its too long.\r
    ②Cut processed cheese into pieces (to put in the hole of chikuwa)\r
    ③Put the cheese into the hole of chikuwa, and cover it with tempura flour mixed with water, then cover it with breadcrumbs.\r
    (or cover it with cake flour, eggwash, and breadcrumbs and fry.)\r
    ④Fry with heated oil until light brown.\r

    *Chikuwa is bamboo-shaped kamaboko (fish paste cake.)\r
    It can be used for various dishes and its also reasonable, so its an important ingredient for bento.\r
    *Japanese Rolled omlet can be different flavor between families.\r
    My rolled omlet is a little sweet, so it can be a good side dish for main dishes with strong flavor.\r

    This is perhaps the most requested recipe on Nyonya Cooking. I have created this special tempting curry noodles with a mixture of spices befitting the dish. No doubt, the preparations may seem complicated but you would be encouraged with the result. Trust me, you would love to have this captivating dish over and over again. If you have not tried a bowl of curry noodles before, you are missing out.\r

    Do not feel demotivated when you see the long list of ingredients and the tedious steps in the preparation. You can always prepare a bigger portion of the laksa paste and freeze it for later use. That would really comes in handy whenever you feel the urge to have some curry noodles. The broth which uses chicken bones and prawn shells as a base has a subtle sweetness and when infused with the spices makes this laksa really delicious!\r

    Most of the ingredients can be widely found at the Asian grocer. However, it might be difficult to get the Vietnamese coriander (also known as Vietnamese cilantro, Vietnamese mint and Cambodian mint). If you are unable to find it, just skip it. I have read that it could be substituted with an equal amount of mint and cilantro but it would not work in this dish. All the herbs and spices need to be throughly infused together to get that tantalizing taste that nyonya laksa is known for.\r

    This alcoholic beverage is produced by infusing snakes into rice wine or sometimes inside grain alcohol. This liquid delicacy is popular in China, Vietnam and Korea but can be found across most of the Asian world. The snakes, preferable the more dangerous and venomous the better are preserved for their essence, the venom itself will dissolve inside the confines of the alcohol and is believed to reinvigorate a person down to their soul. The large poisonous reptile is sliced through the belly and drained of its blood before being placed in the infused alcohol, there are often a mix of herbs, spices and medical oddities, and left to steep for months. It is estimated that snake wines have been around since 300 BC. Snake wine labels will often promise to help curve baldness, failing eyesight and increase ual libedo. Some truly mad brewers will mix in scorpions as well as snakes, for extra power. Snake wine is dangerously high in alcohol and the bravest of alcoholics will even eat parts of the snake fermenting inside the glass bottle, which if you have ever eaten the worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle you know how this night will probably end.     Otherwise known as the most expensive coffee in the world. This bizarre form of coffee is derived from coffee cherries being eaten and partially digested and then defecated by Civets. Most commonly Asian palm civets, also known as toddy cats, these small furry mammals native primarily to Southeastern Asia, have a unique digestion system which ually ferments the grounds in their tummies. The civets digestive juices enter into the beans and modify the microstructural properties adding enzymes and additional breakdowns for storage proteins. After this whole crazy process the coffee cherries are regathered up, packed and sold, this super expensive delicacy coffee is most commonly sold for around 150 American dollars per pound. \r

    Hello and welcome to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor. Today I am going to teach you how to make Amazing applesauce muffins. They are super delicious, easy to make, and they are cheap. Lets get started. Ok, for the ingredients, we need four cups of flour, two cups of sugar, two large eggs, two cups of applesauce, one cup of melted butter, one teaspoon of vanilla extr, finally one teaspoon of cinnamon, and one teaspoon of baking soda. First what we are going to is we are going to cream the butter with the sugar. Now what we want to do is we want to add the eggs. Then, we are going to add one teaspoon of vanilla extr. Next, lets transfer this mixture of sugar, and butter, and extr, and we will go right in with the applesauce, we will get it all in there. Ok now, I am going to add my baking soda and my cinnamon to the flour. And I will wisk this up really well. And Now I am going to add my mixture to the flour. And lets mix it all together. Scrape the sides a little bit, so we can get the extra flour all mixed in. And lets go ahead and preheat the over to 350. Take our bowl here, and we can start filling the cups, about 3 quarters full. And then once you have all your cups filled with the batter, lets go ahead and put these in the oven, remember 350 degrees, and we will cook them for twenty to twenty-five minutes, until they are risen and they are about golden brown, and then what you are going to do is take a toothpick and stab it with a toothpick, pull it out, if it is nice and clean you are good to go. If there is a little bit of batter left on it, put it in for a couple of more minutes. See you when they are done. Ok the muffins are out of the oven and ready to be eaten. First, heres the breakdown. It took about 15 minutes for the prep and about 25 minutes for the baking time. Total cost $3.64, that makes it about 15 cents per muffin. That is awesome, 15 cents for a muffin. Now, I have never seen applesauce muffins at the store, at least my store, maybe they have some where you live. But uh, yeah, I mean 15 cents for a muffin, cant beat that. So if you have a bunch of applesauce lying around, and you dont want to eat it all, why dont you make some muffins, these things are fantastic. So I am going to have one. Oh yeah, oh, oh, mm, mmm, mmm. Yeah, these are amazing. Mm, mm, not super sweet, a little dense.
