Colombian Navy, Locals Save Whale Off Coast of Cartagena

Locals, aided by the Colombian Navy, saved a grounded whale in the shallow waters of Barbacoas Bay near Cartagena, Colombia, on April 11, by dumping water over it and guiding it to deeper waters.

A statement from the Navy said that the whale was approximately 50 feet in length and the rescue operation took five hours.

Marajo Island (Brazil), Feb26 (EFE).- A humpback whale was found dead in a mangrove swamp on an island in the Amazon state of Para after being driven ashore by the powerful tides that engulfed the region, the Bicho D'Aua Institute, a Brazilian marine conservation group, said Tuesday.

Spanish police arrest suspected Colombian hitmen in Madrid

Madrid, Feb 25 (EFE).- Spanish police have arrested seven heavily armed Colombian nationals suspected of acting as enforcers for their drug lords back home.

Police in Madrid said they had been tracking the group for 16 months and decided to raid their hangout after the suspects received a considerable arms shipment that included a grenade-launcher.

Investigators said they believed their mission also included an attempt to forge an alliance with Mexican drug traffickers based in the Mediterranean city of Valencia.

The seven Colombians operated from a restaurant in the Madrid suburb of Leganes, from where they would "send flowers" to their intended victims, a code phrase for making a hit, police said.

10-Shastasaurus: The ichthyosaurs were marine predators that looked like modern dolphins, and could reach a massive size during the Triassic period over 200 million years ago. Shastasaurus, the largest marine reptile species ever found, was a variety of ichthyosaur that could grow to over 65 feet (20m).\r
9-Dakosaurus: Dakosaurus could reach a length of 16 feet (5m). Its unique teeth have led scientists to consider it an apex predator during its reign of terror. Dakosaurus was first discovered in Germany and, with its odd reptilian-yet-fishy body, was one of the top predators in the sea during the Jurassic period.\r
8-Thalassomedon: Thalassomedon was a species of Pliosaur whose name translates from Greek to sea lord -- and for good reason. They were massive predators, reaching lengths of up to 40 feet (12m). Its flippers were nearly 7 feet (2m) long, allowing it to swim the depths with deadly efficiency.\r
7-Nothosaurus: They were armed with a mouth full of sharp, outward-pointing teeth, suggesting a diet of squid and fish.Fossil evidence suggests that they lived during the Triassic period over 200 million years ago.\r
6-Tylosaurus: Tylosaurus was a species of Mosasaur. It was enormous, reaching more than 50 feet (15m) in length. They lived during the late Cretaceous in the seas that covered North America, where they sat firmly atop the marine food chain for several million years.\r
5-Thalattoarchon Saurophagis: Only recently discovered, T. saurophagis was the size of a school bus, reaching nearly 30 feet (9m) long. It is an early species of ichthyosaur that lived during the Triassic period, 244 million years ago.\r
4-Tanystropheus: Tanystropheus was a reptile that could reach 20 feet (6m) long, and it is thought to have been alive during the Triassic period nearly 215 million years ago.\r
3-Liopleurodon: Liopleurodon was a marine reptile measuring in at more than 20 (6m) feet in length. It mostly lived in the seas that covered Europe during the Jurassic period, and it was one of the top predators around.\r
2-Mosasaurus: Fossil evidence suggests that Mosasaurus could reach as much as 50 feet (15m) in length, making it one of the largest marine predators of the Cretaceous period. \r
1-Megalodon: Megalodons prowled the depths during the Cenozoic Era, 28 -- 1.5 million years ago, and were a much bigger version of the great white shark, an apex predator of todays oceans. Avian enthusiasts are well-rewarded when they visit this country, and are reminded to bring their binoculars and identification aids.

MAMMALS
There are about 230 mammal species to be found in South Africa, which include a collection of impressive predators. These make for fabulous sightings on any game drive or safari. Of these hundreds of species, there are two that are critically endangered (De Winton’s Golden Mole and the Riverine Rabbit) and 11 that are endangered (including the African Wild Dog, the Mountain Zebra, Sei Whale and Blue Whale). These numbers are in line with the IUCN statistics.

Endemic mammals include the Cape Elephant Shrew, Cape Mole-rat, Cape Grysbok, Bontebok, Cape Kudu, Springbok and the Cape Horseshoe Bat.

Chroma Squad is a tical turn-based role playing game (TRPG) inspired by Sabans Power Rangers as well as other 90s tokusatsu TVthat our developers grew up with. In Chroma Squad, players will manage a sentai television studio by casting ors, purchasing equipment and crafting weapons. Players can also construct giant Mechas out of cardboard and glue to film epic Mecha battles. Once the cameras are rolling, players will control their cast of five colored, jumpsuit-clad warriors in dramatic, turn-based battles. Throughout the many battles, players will see many references from every corner of the 80s and 90s geek culture which had an immense influence on the creation of Chroma Squad. \r
