Three people are believed to have been killed and 15 more injured after a monster truck crashed into a crowd of spectators.

Video footage appears to show the truck break through the safety fence just as it was wheeling round and revving its engine in preparation to drive over multiple parked cars.

It took place at a rally in Haaksbergen, a town in the eastern Netherlands.

Haaksbergen’s mayor, Hans Gerritsen, told local media that one of the fatalities was a child, according to Sky News.

Geerlof Kanis, one of the rally’s organisers, told RTV Oost that the safety fences were placed sufficiently far away from the vehicles to keep the crowd safe.

One theory currently being put forward was that the truck’s accelerator pedal got stuck.

At least three huge explosions were heard in the Saddar area of Peshawar, Pakistan on Monday (April 5) in what appeared to be rocket attacks. The explosions took place on Shama Chowk, where US consulate and a police station are located and it is suspected that these could have been the targets.

According to some reports, as many as five blasts were heard in quick succession followed by firing but it was unclear whether it was an exchange between terrorists and security forces.The area in the northwestern city, which is a very high security zone was cordoned off by security personnel.

Following the blasts there were reports that parts of the US consulate building had been damaged. Eye witnesses said they saw some injured taken away to ambulances, but there was no official information about any casualties. All civilians and vehicular movement was barred from the area and media kept at a safe distance.

Earlier in the day there was a suicide attack during a meeting of the Awami National Party in the Lower Dir dictrict in North West Frontier Province in which at least 25 people were feared killed and at least 100 injured.

Man killed outside British school in Madrid after being shot at least 10 times

Madrid, Mar 12 (EFE).- A man was shot at least 10 times and killed on a road just outside the British Council School in Madrid on Monday by unknown assailants who fled immediately after the incident, regional emergency services said.
Sources close to the investigation told EFE that the victim, a 43-year-old, was in a car with a woman, who was described as being of Colombian nationality and his partner, after dropping one or more children off at a school in Pozuelo de Alarcón, an affluent suburb to the west of the Spanish capital, when he was attacked.
"We can confirm the death of a 43-year-old man in Pozuelo," the Madrid regional emergency services said on Twitter. "He has at least 10 gunshot wounds," the statement said.
An investigation was launched by the national police after witness evidence pointed to two men on a motorcycle who were believed to have been behind the shooting.
According to security sources, witnesses saw a man riding pillion on the back of the motorcycle fire multiple times at the victim before the pair rode off.
The victim was reportedly able to leave his car but died on the road almost immediately, while his partner was left unharmed.
Investigators are now establishing whether the witness testimonies can be confirmed and gathering evidence to determine what happened, EFE was told.

Residents and Emergency Crews Evacuate After New Fuego Volcano Eruption

Officials have ordered new evacuations around Guatemala’s Fuego volcano after a second major eruption within three days sparked panic on Tuesday, June 5.

The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) tweeted that residents should evacuate in the communities of La Reyna, El Rodeo, Cañaveral I and IV, Hunapu, Magnoli, after a further eruption was reported.

These videos were captured by the the country’s Municipal Firefighters near the city of Escuintla. The first video shows firefighters evacuating highway 14, while the Fuego volcano spews a cloud of ash in the background.

The second video shows firefighters, residents and other emergency services evacuating from a petrol station on highway 14 near the volcano.

A spokesman for the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology warned that a new pyroclastic flow occurred at 2.25pm in the Las Lahas canyon, and El Jute area, La Prensa Libre reported.

He said there was a risk the flow could reach the Palín-Escuintla highway. The highway was subsequently closed to motorists, Guatemalan news site Soy502 reported.

All the people in the fort, including the princess, were killed. The present state of the fort is attributed to the curse of the wizard and people believe the ghosts in the fort are that of the princess and the wizard.\r

At least 2 dead, 20 injured in Barcelona terror attack after van hits crowds

Barcelona, Aug 17 (EFE).- At least two people were killed and 20 others were injured when a van ran over pedestrians in Barcelona's Rambla boulevard on Thursday in what police confirmed was a terror attack.

Security sources said they were looking for two suspects, one of whom was the driver of the van, who managed to flee on foot and barricaded himself inside a bar armed with a rifle.

The second suspect managed to escape, the sources told EFE, adding that they were searching for someone wearing a blue and white sweater.

"We can confirm this was a terror attack. The counter-terror protocol has been activated," tweeted regional police.

Police said the van rammed into several vehicles before barreling down the tree-lined central pedestrian-only area of the Rambla.

Officers from the regional Mossos d'Esquadra and emergency services were deployed to the area, which is at the heart of the city's touristic center and is visited by thousands every day.

Police sources said they were searching for a second van that the suspects may have rented to use as a getaway vehicle.

Police also denied rumors of a shooting at a nearby shopping center.

The regional government asked that metro and train stations in the area be closed to the public.

Spanish state broadcaster RTVE spoke to witnesses who said the van had mounted the central pedestrian part of the boulevard and raced towards crowds.

Television images showed several people being attended by medical first attenders and baby chairs lying abandoned on the road.

03:37 -- The al-Mutasim Brigade is a Free Syrian Army fion ive in the northern Aleppo Governorate, based in the town of Mare. The group is named after al-Mutasim, an Abbasid caliph. The Mutasim Brigade is known for possessing a large amount of US-supplied weapons from the Syrian Train and Equip program, including M16 rifles, M249 light machine guns, M240 machine guns, Soltam K6, M224 mortars, M252 mortars, M2 Browning, and technicals. This led to reports being made that this group is supplied by the United States. The group did not receive anti-tank missiles from the US. In June the group formed an alliance with Liwa Ahfad Saladin and 6 other rebel groups in Mare after breaking an ISIL siege on the town. The new coalition claims to have 1,500 fighters under a unified military command and established cont with the rival Syrian Democratic Forces. Later that month, Mohammad Hassan Khalil was kidnapped in Mare. The Moutasem Brigade accused Major General Dara Aza, former commander of rebels in Mare, and al-Nusra Front of carrying out the abduction. In August and September the Moutasem Brigade participated in the Turkish military intervention in Syria which captured Jarabulus and al-Rai.\r

According to Chinese historians the first acrobats were those hunters who excelled by their physical abilities, based on this they locate the beginning of the acrobatics about five thousand years before our era, there is a book named the imaginary history of acrobats WU-QUIAO Located in Hebei Province, which reports that the Yellow Emperor, better known in this part of the world as HUANG DI which is part of the five emperors within Chinese mythology, who are credited with the foundation of Chinese civilization, it is said that the Yellow Emperor during an invasion of the barbarian tribes was about to be defeated, so he called his general LI, whom he asked to go seek help from allied tribes, this general began his journey and got lost in the woods, being rescued by two coal miners, they gave him food and as a reward general LI made them a demonstration of his abilities with the sword, by cutting an apple in half in the air, these miners were so pressed that asked him to stay with them to entertain them, he accepted and in this way the military skills with the sword, bow, the whip and knife throwing became part of the circus repertoire.
The emperor of course saw that his general did not return so he called general CHEN and asked for the same thing, he got lost in the swamps being rescued by fishermen and as a Ward he showed them his strength, by carrying a boat with 12 people over his shoulders and juggling with bronze which was a success, the fishermen asked him to stay to entertain them and this was how the strong man acts and the jugglers joined the circus world.
The yellow emperor again saw that he did not return, and sent five other generals who knew how to juggle, contortion, head balance, domesticate bears and wolves, and make people laugh, they left the palace to fulfill their mission and they never returned, so the circus was enriched with all those disciplines, and I suppose that the yellow emperor got killed.
The need to impress renewed audiences was what inspired the acrobats to embark on the road, many of them ceasing to be sedentary, by leaving their villages and homes to become part of a nomadic nation, at the beginning these groups of traveling artists accepted retired military, soldiers, deserters, warriors, thieves, revolutionaries, explorers, sailors and all kinds of people who wanted to escape from something.
