The Greek Finance Minister spoke just before midnight and claimed that the remaining workers were to abandon the building and that ERT's broadcasting would be suspended until a law, allowing the creation of a new media company, be instated.

Prosecutors rest in Trump Organization criminal trial

Manhattan prosecutors called their last witness Monday in the Trump Organization's criminal trial.  During three weeks of testimony, they portrayed a company for which many of the top executives not named Trump allegedly devised a series of schemes to avoid taxes on income and luxury benefits. Two Trump Organization companies and former chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg were charged with more than a dozen counts related to fraud and tax evasion. Celebrating 25 Years of Gran Turismo: A Message from Kazanouri Yamauchi

I’m very happy that we are celebrating our 25th anniversary since the first release of the Gran Turismo series.

Back in 1992, Gran Turismo was the first project plan I created out of close to 100 others I came up with when I first started my career in this industry, so it means a lot to me.

While making video games was something I started from 10 years old as a hobby, I had never thought about making it a career.

I started a movie production club when I was 14, and had been producing movies, so I first joined Sony hoping to create image products. But the department they assigned me to was not what I was expecting.

It was a department where the PlayStation console was just about to start, and was a place where Kutaragi-san was working feverishly to bring the concept of PlayStation to life.
That place was not what I had hoped for, but looking back now, you could say that I was very lucky.

I was fascinated by real time 3D graphics that many had been waiting for, and created and presented plans for all kinds of video games, not just limited to race games but RPGs, adventure games, action games, puzzle games, and more.

As a result, Gran Turismo took a more fantasy race game format in the “Motor Toon Grand Prix”, becoming one of the first 1st party titles for PlayStation, but if a plan for something other than a racing game had been the one that was approved, there is a good chance that I might have been making a title other than Gran Turismo today.

Thereafter the Gran Turismo project started from gathering a team of two part time artists and three engineers.

From there, the number of comrades have continued to increase in number for over quarter of a century, and has become Polyphony Digital today, a company with over 200 staff members.
I don’t think there are many video game franchises in the world that have continued for 25 years with the same title, and with the same team.

The founding members of the company are still working on the front lines, and I am thankful and proud that all 200 of our staff are a team that have the same motivation and love that the company started with in the beginning.

In the last 25 years, the cumulative sales total of the series have reached over 90 million copies as of November 16, 2022.
And this result is something that could not be accomplished by ourselves alone.

Behind that 90 million figure, there are all the people of the media who conveyed the allure of Gran Turismo to their readers. There are the people of PlayStation who sold GT for us around the world with passion, and there is the incredible amount of support from the retailers who interfaced with our users.

My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of them for their support.

And above all else, I can’t ever thank enough the GT users and people of the GT community who have played our new titles, which at times could be said to have been very experimental.

2018 Mercedes-AMG GT / GT C Roadster: AMG Blows Its Top
The wildest AMG drops its top and adds a higher-horsepower variant.

It's kind of a no-brainer, adding a convertible version of the Mercedes-AMG GT. Its predecessor, the SLS, was offered as a roadster, and Mercedes-Benz has a long tradition of open sports cars. Indeed, an AMG GT roadster was ready for production some time ago. Part of what has kept the company from launching it earlier was concern that it would hurt sales of the Mercedes-Benz SL. Maybe it will. But now it's here: Meet the AMG GT roadster—and its wilder derivative, the AMG GT C roadster.

The roofectomy works well, because the AMG GT was designed from the outset to be a roadster. The compact, muscular rear end works well with the long hood and the low profile. This is a sports car that evokes classic roadsters of the 1950s and ’60s.

The AMG GT roadster comes in two versions: There's a standard GT, rated at 469 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque; it charges from zero to 60 mph in a claimed 3.9 seconds and tops out at a governed 188 mph; above that, AMG is launching a new power and equipment level, the GT C, which sits above the GT S but below the GT R versions of the coupe. (Mercedes is mum on the subject of a GT C hardtop.) The GT C roadster makes 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque, it’s said to hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and the governor is reprogrammed to 196 mph. We suspect AMG wants to save the 200-plus-mph software for a Black Series version, which is sure to hit showrooms eventually. All AMG GT models are powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, internally code-named M178.

The roadster sits atop the same chassis that forms the basis of the remarkably capable AMG GT coupe. The GT C further adds to its capabilities by fitting a number of enhancements that surpass even the GT S coupe, because they’re taken from the GT R. They include rear-wheel steering, which turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front wheels at lower speeds, and in the same direction at 62 mph and above, to enhance agility and high-speed stability.

The GT C roadster also comes with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, whereas the regular GT roadster lacks that feature. The gearing of the GT C’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is revised, and the drive mode selector offers an additional Race mode. A lithium-ion battery saves valuable pounds. And perhaps most obviously, the AMG GT C roadster is wider—by a whopping 2.3 inches. The wider rear track enables cornering-enhancing wider tires, and it lends a distinct look to this most extreme of AMG roadsters.

Up front, both the roadsters are fitted with the new Panamericana grille first seen on the GT R. It is part of a front fascia that includes active aero elements. Eventually the GT and GT S hardtops will receive the new front end as well.

Pricing is yet to be announced, but the base roadster is sure to exceed the standard coupe’s tariff of $112,125. And with the GT S hardtop at $132,125, the GT C convertible could be in the $150K neighborhood. We expect the new model to appear at dealerships by fall 2017.

7 - Animal Kingdom – At one point the famous Animal Kingdom was supposed to include a separate attrion within the attrion called “Beastly Kingdom.” This would be dedicated to mythical creatures and probably include some animatronics. Even though that idea never made its way to fruition there is a subtle nod to the project on the sign for Animal Kingdom. In the middle of a rhino and elephant you can see the silhouette of a dragon. 6 - Smellitizers – If youve ever visited a Disney park and noticed a certain smell in a certain place, well thats no accident. Smellitizers are devices that can be found in the tunnels below the parks and are located throughout Disney parks to emit certain smells in certain areas. 5 - Cinderellas castle – Cinderellas castle may be the most well-known landmark in all of Disney parks. Everyone knows what it looks like and everyone knows where its located. What not many people know is that hidden inside the castle is a private guest suite, reserved for contest winners only. You cannot book this suite and it is given to families for use about once every two weeks. The suite has only been used approximately 600 times. Not only do you get a car to drop you at the Magic Kingdom, but you also get a personal guide to accompany you around the park ing as a personal FASTpass for rides and giving you all the information about the park you could ever want. Inside the suite are Disney charer relics, such as Cinderellas glass slipper and Captain Hooks telescope, as well as a television disguised as a mirror that you use a magic wand to turn on.\r

3 - Tom Sawyer Island – This ride, located at Disney World, is a boat ride that takes you over to an island with a Tom Sawyer theme. Its a very quiet, some would say boring ride. Boring, until you realize that you could walk away with a pretty awesome prize. The island supposedly has paintbrushes hidden all over the place, to recreate Tom Sawyers chore to whitewash his Aunt Pollys fence. If youre lucky enough to find a paintbrush, bring it over to your boat driver and theyll reward you with a fastpass to any one ride in the park. Dont go crazy looking for all the brushes, though. Its only good for one brush per family. \r

Its located in the middle of New Orleans Square and is recognized only by a plate attached to the building that says “33.” To be allowed entry into the club, you must be a member, and to become a member you need to get on a waitlist that is estimated to be years long and its roughly $25,000 to join plus $10,000 in yearly dues. Some of the perks to the club, is –obviously, access to the club itself – alcoholic beverages, since the park is for the most park dry except for certain areas, early park admission, valet parking at the resorts and access to private events held at the park. \r

1 - Walts Apartment – When Walt Disney was designing and constructing Disneyland he wanted to build a special apartment hidden from the chaos of the park, but still within the park. He built the apartment above the Main Street Firehouse. The Disney family would spend time in the apartment, entertaining guests or Walt would do quiet work – his desk was set up against a window overlooking Main Street. A lamp in the window would be left on when Walt was present in the apartment which was a fun thing for guests to see. Since his passing, the light is always burning in the window as a tribute.
