  • Shaddow - Nightfall

Already a budding mecca of performing talents, DFW has uncovered a treasure!
Arlington based jazz saxophonist "Shaddow" is already generating mad buzz in the Dallas/Ft Worth area - and now the ferver has spread to Japan and S. Korea as well.

The gritty groove of his captivating single "Don't Stop Just Let It Ride"(from his newly released CD, "PRELUDE"), is receiving rave reviews from international press and vigorous play on the continent of Asia's "Airrang" radio stations. The requests just keep coming in! This cut is one of those songs you want to put in the car and drive around for hours, just soaking in the vibe and hoping you look as cool and classy as it sounds.

Shaddow's performances here in the U S of A are gaining recognition also. The rich dimensions and textures of his music brings the audience alive with enthusiasm. He somehow engages you, drawing you into the experience of the music, as the notes from his saxophone weave their warmth around you.

This visionary artist distinguishes himself with innovative musical expressions that are a sultry, soulful mixture of comtemporary jazz, 70's smooth, and a dash of R&B. A blend that makes his sound easily transition from genre to genre- and fit. Infectious rhythms that will leave you tapping your feet and humming the haunting refrains. A prolific writer/composer/producer, Shaddow's performances are wonderfully diverse; they are not to be missed.

  • Vlogging: Canon 80D/70D vs Panasonic G85/G7

Lets talk about the heavyweight vlogging champion twins the Canon 80D and 70D and how they compare to my personal camera, the Panasonic Lumix G7 as well as the soon-to-be released Lumix G85! Maybe we can get somewhere on which on is the best vlogging camera.\r
    \r
80D/70D are going to have better focusing for sure, but they both lack 4K and are WAY heavier. The 70D also cant shoot at 60fps for sports or slow motion. The G85 adds in-camera stabilization for even smoother picture, too!\r

  • new Trackmaster Thomas with Annie and Clarabel, unboxing review and first run.

Hi Guys and Gals here we have the new Trackmaster Thomas greatest moments with Annie and Clarabel, I bought this from Target near where I live and it was AU$35 (about US$38). Yes we pay allot for toys here in Australia but I often wonder why, thats the reason i buy most of my trains on ebay (I could have bought almost 2 trains on ebay for that price too), and its not because I wanted it right away because I bought it about a week ago and its just been sitting here. so Australian retailers I say .\r
    \r
This Thomas is of course the updated new version released by trackmaster and it comes with its new version Annie and Clarabel, The faces on the 3 are from the animated version of the show and s and the face on Thomas should be quite familiar to everyone by now. This new version is 5mm longer than the old version and 2mm taller, I like the proportions on the new version better than the older one and it looks more like the real life version.\r
    \r
Mechanically it is completely different from the old version, the drive unit is the flat type and the release screw for the cover is at the front. The drive unit on mine is quiet but it has a clicky sound and ran very jerkily which I found annoying seeing the price I paid for it was allot. This issue shouldnt happen any more especially since I found the 3 BMM engines to be superb quiet and smooth runners.\r
    \r
In conclusion I would need another Thomas like this to see if the clicky problem is universal or just mine, but for looks I give it a 9/10 I dont like the red tab at the back. I wont give a score on the running side because this unit might be faulty and it would be biased.\r
    \r
Shout out to XxmadmuttmanxX who requested I review this loco! sorry i didnt mention you in the vid.\r
    \r

    Thanks for watching!!

  • When to change gear in a manual/stick shift car. Changing gears tips. Learning to drive.

When to change gear in a manual / stick shift car .\r
    \r
Learning to drive in a manual car? Want to know when to change gears in a stick shift? This video might help. When to change gear in a manual car can start off being a bit tricky. The best way to know when to change up gears in a stick shift is when the engine sound is louder and it sounds like its working too hard. When to change down gear is once youve slowed down, the engine starts to struggle and it makes a lower sound or when you stop and need to go again (always move off in 1st gear).\r
    \r
This was filmed in the UK. Rules and laws may vary in your country.\r
    \r
How to change gears in a manual/stick shift car:\r
When changing up gear you would normally come off gas, press down the clutch, change gear, release the clutch gently and then back on gas.\r
    \r
To change down gear try using a slight amount of gas as you raise the clutch as this can result in a smooth gear change. \r
    \r
► How to change down gear smoothly \r
    \r
When to change down gear in a manual car:\r
You would normally have to change down gears once you have slowed down and then youd have to change to a gear that matched your speed or you could change down if you need more power to overtake. You can also block gear change, for example 3rd to 1st. It basically means skipping gears. Its possible to do this changing up gear as long as you have enough speed for that gear.\r
    \r
When to change up gears in a manual car:\r
Speed up first and build up momentum and then you can change gear. Over revving your car can use up more fuel. If youre going uphill or you have extra weight in your car then make sure that you speed up a little extra first before changing up gears.\r
    \r
You can stop in any gear, but if you want to move off again then make sure youre in 1st gear or the car could stall (switch off).\r
    \r
Make sure youre prepared for whats ahead in in the correct gear. If youre about to turn or go onto a roundabout then slow down and change down gear before.\r
    \r
Low gears are best for steep hills as offer the most amount of torque. If youre driving uphill then make sure you speed up and build up momentum before changing up gear or the car will slow down and possibly stall.\r
    \r
Please note that every car is different. Listen to the sound of the engine and you will get used to when to change gear.\r

  • How to study guitar music theory

    \r
    Pyramid of Music Theory\r
    \r
When you first tackle a subject as big as music theory you can quickly become overwhelmed by the sheer complexity of it. \r
    \r
As someone new to the subject you have two main problems. \r
    \r
Firstly, its impossible to tell the difference between the details that are absolutely essential to an understanding of the subject and those details that are really only incidental or perhaps apply only to specialist areas of the subject.\r
    \r
Secondly, its really difficult to figure out what order to learn things in.\r
    \r
To solve these problems and to help give you as smooth a ride through the subject as possible we have devised a method of presenting the subject of Music Theory in a logical format that s as a step by step guide from start to finish. I call this the Pyramid of Guitar Music Theory.\r
    \r
This pyramid includes only two types of items:\r
    \r
Firstly: Those things that you need to know to make learning to play guitar at advanced level a quicker and easier process.\r
    \r
Secondly it includes some items you may not immediately find a direct use for, but that must be learned in order better to understand the subjects higher on the pyramid.\r
    \r
Lets look at it a bit closer from the bottom up:\r
    \r
The first two levels have appeared already at various stages on our beginners and intermediate courses -- they are the two minimum pieces of knowledge required to be able to name any note anywhere on the fretboard.\r
    \r
Building on this knowledge and ability, the next two steps teach you how to find any Major scale on the fretboard. Whether horizontally.on one string . \r
.or vertically in one position, or any combination of the two.\r
    \r
The Major scale is the single most important element in music theory, so the more comprehensive your ability to work with it the better.\r
Once you are familiar with this level of understanding things begin to get a lot more interesting.\r
    \r
The next step is one of those you can get by without, but ually, once learnt it will greatly help improve your progress in the higher regions of the pyramid -- this is standard notation..\r
    \r
We know that the vast majority of guitar players are never going to have to sight read standard notation, but we also know that it is a great advantage to at least have grasped the basics, and with our lessons we promise you will find this easy and fun!\r
At the next level we take all the mystery out of key signatures - all those sharps and flats that that you find littering chord symbols .\r
.will start to make more sense and youll begin to get a real insight into what it means when we say a particular tune is in a certain major or minor key.\r
    \r
At the next stage, we really get to look at the nuts and bolts of how chords are created -- soon youll never need to look at another chord chart book- youll have the understanding necessary to create your own chords out of thin air -- anywhere on the fretboard, in any key!\r
    \r
The relationship between scales and chords. \r
    \r
How to write really effective chord sequences for your own songs.\r
    \r
Work out a chord sequence just by listening to a record -- an essential skill if you want to join a band!\r
    \r
Then Understanding the structure of Minor scales will help expand your options when improvising and or composing. \r
    \r
Pentatonic scale theory will help you understand how all those great Blues and Rock n Roll licks and riffs ually work. \r
    \r
With that knowledge -- youll be able to come up with all sorts of interesting variations on time-honoured clichés of rock music.\r
    \r
Finally, the top two steps are really the backbone of Jazz Improvising knowledge, but an understanding of more exotic chords and modes is also great for adding extra creative potential to Rock, Blues and Country style guitar too.\r
    \r
    Have fun climbing the pyramid!
