La montaña rusa más emocionante se llama Six Flags Great Adventura & Wild Safari. Está ubicada en New Jersey (Estados Unidos) y es considerada la más alta y rápida del mundo.
Atención a los datos, que son sorprendentes: Se alcanza una altura de 135 metros y la velocidad máxima es de 206 kilómetros por hora. El recorrido es de casi un kilómetro. Y se lo hace en sólo 50 segundos. La liberación de adrenalina y dopamina es tan brutal que muchos de los que resisten se vuelven adictos a las emociones generadas por tal brutal aceleración y fuerzas G que ponen el cuerpo y el cerebro al límite.

Montañas rusas: Big one

Estadísticamente, las montañas rusas son muy seguras. La Comisión para la Seguridad de los Productos de Consumo de los Estados Unidos (Consumer Product Safety Commission) estima que 134 visitantes de parques requirieron hospitalización en 2001 y las muertes en las atracciones de ocio en general son aproximadamente de dos por año. De acuerdo a un estudio realizado por Six Flags, hubo 319 millones de visitas en 2001. El estudio concluyó que el visitante tenía una probabilidad de una entre más de doscientos cincuenta millones de morir en el parque, y que las tasas de lesiones en atracciones infantiles, golf o sillas voladoras es mayor que la de las grandes atracciones mecánicas. En resumen, es más peligroso el viaje en coche hasta el parque que la estancia en éste o el disfrute de sus atracciones. En 1999, un viajero que pesaba más de 180 kg no pudo cerrar adecuadamente el arnés (barra de seguridad) y salió despedido de Superman coaster en Six Flags Darien Lake, teniendo serias lesiones. Aparte de éste, ocurrió un accidente similar en 2004 cuando un hombre de más 100 kg con parálisis cerebral subió a Six Flags New England y, en la última curva del recorrido, salió despedido y murió en el accidente o el que recientemente ocurrió en Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom que esta en Louisville (Kentucky, Estados Unidos) en donde una niña de 13 años perdió ambas piernas cuando un cable de frenado se desprendió impactando a las personas a bordo.

Iran Air Boeing 747-100 (WORLDS LAST): Cockpit-landing, all cabins [AirClips full flight ]

Just a few months after this unique video was taken, the Boeing 747-100 retired from the worlds skies forever. In new this Iran Air unit was the last flying Boeing 747-100, a -100Bto be ex. At that time the crew told me that it was probably continuing to fly for another two years, but less than half a year later game was over. In the clip you can see that a Boeing 747-200 checklist was used and frequent questions were asked. The reason is, that the checklists are the same and thus there was no need to print an extra -100 one. You can see that the rear part of the passenger cabin was dark and empty on this flight. The reason is that that day this aircraft replaced the scheduled B747SP with the same (smaller) SP crew aboard. In order to make the smaller crew fit the bigger aircrafts needs, the rear cabin was closed.\r

The first 747-100s were built with six upper deck windows (three per side) to accommodate upstairs lounge areas. Later, as airlines began to use the upper deck for premium passenger seating instead of lounge space, Boeing offered a ten-window upper deck as an option. Some early −100s were retrofitted with the new configuration. The −100 was equipped with Pratt & Whitney JT9D-3A engines. No freighter version of this model was developed, but many 747-100s were converted into freighters. A total of 167 747-100s were built. Iran Air was the last airline to use the 747-100 for passenger service.
