Trucks Push Through Highway Covered by Floodwaters in Sonora
Trucks pushed through significant floodwaters on a highway between the cities of Obregón and Guaymas in Mexico’s Sonora state on September 20 as a tropical storm over the Gulf of California dumped water on the region.

Death toll in China bus fire rises to 17

Kazakhstan showcases its cities as business tourism destinations
L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain, Nov 27 (EFE).- Representatives of Kazakhstan were here Tuesday to promote the Central Asian nation as a destination for business tourism thanks to the rapid modernization of its two main cities, Astana and Almaty, which boast convention centers and thousands of hotel rooms.
As part of its opening to the world, Kazakhstan is taking part for the second consecutive year in IBTM World, the most important international trade fair dedicated to business tourism, at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via facilities.

This was a time of great turmoil and conflict, with battles raging across the country. The impact of the war was felt by everyone, as soldiers and civilians alike faced tremendous challenges. Cities were destroyed, lives were lost, and the fabric of society was deeply affected. As the war came to Germany, it became clear that the end was near, and the world would never be the same again after experiencing such a devastating conflict.

At least 24 killed in bus accident in Peru
"They couldn't remove some of the dead because they were crushed by the bus. There are a lot. There are a lot of dead people, about 24 or 25 of them, pretty many. I am not absolutely certain, but the accident occurred around 6 a.m." - witness
At least 24 people died and another 29 were injured on Saturday (April 16) when a bus went off a highway in Peru's central Andes.
The accident occurred in the early morning near the city of Pasco in central Peru. The bus belonged to the Estrella Polar transportation company.
"They couldn't remove some of the dead because they were crushed by the bus. There are a lot. There are a lot of dead people, about 24 or 25 of them, pretty many. I am not absolutely certain, but the accident occurred around 6 a.m," an area witness said.

Visit to Choquequirao
Choquequirao (Southern Quechua: Chuqi K'iraw, Cradle of Gold) is a ruined Inca city in south Peru, similar in structure and architecture to Machu Picchu. The ruins are buildings and terraces at levels above and below Sunch'u Pata, the truncated hill top. On March 11, 2011, Japan's Tohoku coastal region was destroyed by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and devastating tsunami that followed. Haiti's crisis after the storms

Russia's monument to the enema
An unusual monument to that notorious medical procedure - the enema - has been erected in a resort town in southern Russia.
The one and a half metre-high sculpture to the enema is made of bronze, weighs 400 kilogrammes and cost one million roubles.
While it is a procedure many people would rather not talk about, the southern Russian city of Zheleznovodsk is celebrating it.

Trujillo is the second city of Peru it is located 570 kms up north from Lima. The trip takes 9 hours by bus or 45 minutes by plane. Trujillo has an estimated population of 1 million people and many touristic attractions such as Chan Chan, Huaca de la Luna, Huanchaco and many others. You have to try its delicious food (cebiche, cabrito, shambar). Every January the National Marinera contest is held in Trujillo. Residents and Emergency Crews Evacuate After New Fuego Volcano Eruption
Officials have ordered new evacuations around Guatemala’s Fuego volcano after a second major eruption within three days sparked panic on Tuesday, June 5.
The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) tweeted that residents should evacuate in the communities of La Reyna, El Rodeo, Cañaveral I and IV, Hunapu, Magnoli, after a further eruption was reported.
These videos were captured by the the country’s Municipal Firefighters near the city of Escuintla. The first video shows firefighters evacuating highway 14, while the Fuego volcano spews a cloud of ash in the background.
The second video shows firefighters, residents and other emergency services evacuating from a petrol station on highway 14 near the volcano.
A spokesman for the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology warned that a new pyroclastic flow occurred at 2.25pm in the Las Lahas canyon, and El Jute area, La Prensa Libre reported.
He said there was a risk the flow could reach the Palín-Escuintla highway. The highway was subsequently closed to motorists, Guatemalan news site Soy502 reported.

Tolkyn Sakbayeva exposition opens in Barcelona
Barcelona, Dec 18 (EFE).- Kazakh artist Tolkyn Sakbayeva, born 25 years ago with cerebral palsy and with little hope of being able to speak or use a pencil, has now established herself with her exposition "Kaleidoscope" as a outstanding painter for the force and color of her work, which is expressive, lively and full of light.
The exposition at Barcelona's Espacio Espronceda is her second in this city, where she has lived for a little over two years and for the first time, she told EFE, she is showing large-format paintings almost three meters (10 feet) wide.

In the middle of rapidly changing Gangnam stands Bongeun Temple, a place of solace for a multitude of people for centuries. Just as people bearing fervent wishes in their hearts have frequented the temple for more than a thousand years, people will keep coming here for many years to come. El camino hacia este paso no debe confundirse con el paso del mismo nombre, también llamado Paso internacional Los Libertadores, a través de la RN7, que sin embargo se encuentra muy cerca de ahi, aunque a menor altura.
