Manhattan prosecutors called their last witness Monday in the Trump Organization's criminal trial.  During three weeks of testimony, they portrayed a company for which many of the top executives not named Trump allegedly devised a series of schemes to avoid taxes on income and luxury benefits. Two Trump Organization companies and former chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg were charged with more than a dozen counts related to fraud and tax evasion. No member of the Trump family has been charged in the case. Weisselberg previously entered a guilty plea in the case and agreed to testify for the prosecution. During more than three days of testimony, he described receiving annual bonuses in which he was called an independent contractor, and deducting the value of luxury benefits from his income.  Weisselberg said both practices were designed to lower his and the company's tax burdens. Making coins is not easy and there is an added cost - purifying and weighing out, forming plankets, making dies, striking, handling, packing and shipping etc. This is why coins and even smaller units of metal always cost more than spot. Ramadan starts in Cairo with religious values and family ties

Cairo, Jun 7 (EFE), (Camera: Mohamed Siali).- Cairo started the month of Ramadan on Monday with almost empty streets and closed cafes, while Egyptians seek to restore their religious values and to boost their familial ties, despite ongoing economic hardships.

The streets of Cairo, notorious for their endless traffic jams, were almost empty on Monday with only a few pedestrians walking to mosques or to stores under the blazing sunshine.

Most of the coffee shops and stores were closed, while some restaurants took advantage of the month to undergo renovations.

Among the open stores were those selling lanterns, which are hung by Egyptians in their homes and streets throughout the month of Ramadan.

Abdallah al-Shazli, owner of a lantern store in Mohandessin told EFE that customers started buying lanterns from him three months before Ramadan, and stressed that it is a very important symbol for Egyptians during the holy month.

The director of Cultural Heritage at the French University in Egypt, Fikri Hassan told EFE that using lanterns dates back to the Fatimid era (909-1171).

Ramadan is a month of worship for Muslims and Egyptians, as many Muslims are more committed to saying prayers and reading the Quran during this time, while they abandon other habits that are forbidden by Islam, such as drinking alcohol.

In Ramadan, people prefer to spend more time with their relatives and to pray in mosques, as well as having Suhoor, the meal taken before the start of fasting, together.

Abdeltawab, a merchant in Khan al-Khalili who sells his goods to tourists, told EFE that Ramadan this year comes amid hard economic difficulties, as well as the collapse of the Egyptian pound against the U.S. dollar.

He also added that Egyptians and Arabs make up the majority of his customers after the recent collapse of tourism in the country.

Food speculation mainly takes place at commodity derivatives exchanges, which are especially large in the US but also growing in the EU. Even though these exchange can have a value for agriculture, they can also be dangerous. Especially through increasing participation of finanical speculators like banks and funds, food prices more and more become a financial asset and an object of profit maximization. Also many scientists, analysts and public institutions have come to the conclusion that speculation can negatively influcence commodity prices (see list).

What needs to be done

To prevent financial speculators from generating profits at the cost of the poot, we need strong regulation of commodity derivatives markets. This includes:
• Trade on transparent exchanges or clearing houses
• High margin requirements for Over-the-counter trade
• Reporting and public reports
• Price oversight and price limits
• Prevention of excessive speculation through position limits
• Trading prohibition for institutional funds, mutual funds and for proprietary trading
• Control of the speculation by multinational commodity companies
• Transaction tax on commodity derivatives trading

The political debate

In the G20, French president Sarkozy has made food speculation a top priority. The G20 will decide on measure till the Cannes summit in November 2011. In the EU, the revision of the markets in financial instruments directive (MiFID) does play a major role. In Juli 2011, WEED and 13 other organisations have written a letter to internal market commissioner Barnier, calling for measures against food speculation within the MiFID revision. Another important reform process is the new EU derivatives legislation. WEED and other had an email action on this at the European website Make Finance Work.

Gunjack is an amazing looking game, with stunning visual effects and first class audio, from sound effects to narration. The graphics alone is worth the purchase price point. \r

The downer is that in reality this game ends up being a glorified version of some of Gear VRs originals, Gunner or Caldera Defense, followed up by the paid game Bandit Six. For a similar gameplay if not better, Caldera Defense affords you more depth of play while Gunner isnt a graphic realism feast, it has its place in its comic style which in itself is eye candy. \r

EVE Gunjack takes its name from the anticipated consumer release EVE Valkyrie but Valkyrie it is not, as per the above games it is a static defence shooter and not one of dog fights in outer space.\r

One improvement on immersion would be to put the player back further into the cockpit so more of the inside is seen this however impairs the viewers battlefield visibility but in doing so it adds realism, depth and increases immersion. You can see this when you press the BACK button on your Gear VR which pauses the game and you can see more of the inside of the turret giving you that depth despite sacrificing field of view. Your charer would realistically have his field of view from further inside the turret rather than a forward view which just puts you in a space invader spectator point of view instead of an immersive perspective.\r

If you are looking for dog fights, I suggest you invest your time and money on Anshar Wars 2 which take you from space sorties to battles on planet surface and even subtaraniun area of operations.\r
\r
If y graphics Unreal Engine graphics gets you off and youre happy to be a turret gunner, go for it, as the mission loading sequence and visuals do give you immersion.
