A) Affix handle (5). Thread the yarn (7) first through the lower guide (1) from the outside, then through the upper guide (2) and finally down through the central tube (3) of the knitting mill. \r
\r
B) Make sure that the tongues of all the needles (4) are pointing downwards and hold the knitting mill in your left hand. Also hold the yarn tightly in your left hand. \r
\r
C) Slowly turn the handle clockwise (5) until the first hook (4) picks up the yarn. Turn the handle forward only (in the direction of the arrow, never turn it backwards). Then pass the yarn behind the second needle, i.e. this needle is missed out. Continue to turn slowly until the third hook picks up the yarn. Hook the weight (6) onto the end of the yarn. Pass the yarn behind the fourth needle, missing it out. Continue to turn slowly. \r

D) On the second turn all the hooks (4) pick up the yarn. From the third turn onwards the handle can be turned faster. Move the weight (6) up now and again. \r
\r
E) When beginning a new ball of wool, knot the yarn together, cut off the ends of the yarn and continue to turn slowly. Take care that the knot does not catch in the threading guides. \r
F) When you have finished, cut the yarn and continue turning until the knitted cord is thrown off the needles. Pull the end of the yarn through the open stitches tightly with a wool needle and stitch up. \r
\r
Tightly twisted wool, suitable for pin gauges 3 - 3.5 mm, gives the best results. \r
If the wool is not of a very good quality, i.e. if the wool is somewhat coarse, it will not glide so well which can lead to malfunctions. This also applies to very fibrous or fluffy wool such as mohair. During use, always make sure that the tongue of the needle which grasps the yarn is clipped downwards, the hooks close tightly and then completely release the yarn. The yarn must run loosely from the ball of wool (7). The weight should not pull the yarn downwards until the third hook grasps the yarn (3). \r

Madrid, 30 ago (EFE).- Con motivo de la Copa del Mundo de Baloncesto FIBA 2019, que se celebrará en China del 31 de agosto al 15 de septiembre, la Fundación del Español Urgente, promovida por la Agencia EFE y BBVA ofrece unas claves relacionadas con este deporte.
1. Nombres de las sedes
El nombre recomendado de las ocho ciudades en las que se va a disputar el torneo son las siguientes: "Pekín" (mejor que "Beijing"), "Nankín" (mejor que "Nanjín"), "Shanghái" (con tilde), "Cantón" (mejor que "Guangzhou"), Shenzhen, Foshan, Wuhan y Dongguan.
2. "Hijo de los Sueños", nombre de la mascota
La mascota elegida para la presente Copa del Mundo de Baloncesto se llama en español "Hijo de los Sueños", forma preferible a la variante inglesa "Son of Dreams".
3. Las fases, en minúscula
El torneo está dividido en dos "fases de grupos", en las que todos los equipos de cada grupo se enfrentan en sí, y una "fase final" con partidos eliminatorios en "cuartos de final", "semifinales" y en la "final".
4. Las posiciones
Las posiciones tradicionales del baloncesto reciben los nombres de "base", "escolta", "alero", "ala-pívot" y "pívot". Es frecuente referirse a estas con los números 1, 2, 3, 4, y 5 respectivamente, de modo que suele llamarse "dos" a quien juega como escolta, "cuatro" al ala-pívot...
5. "Pívot", con tilde
La palabra "pívot" se escribe con tilde por ser una palabra llana acabada en consonante distinta de "-n" o "-s"; su plural es "pívots" y es común en cuanto al género: "el pívot" y "la pívot". A pesar de que el equivalente en español es "pivote", utilizado en algunos países de América, se aconseja emplear "pívot" por ser el término más extendido en el uso y el único recogido en el Diccionario académico con este significado. En cuanto a las formas "ala pívot" y "ala-pívot", se recomienda el empleo de la segunda, con guion.
6. "Play-maker" es "base", "armador" o "conductor"
El término inglés "play-maker se usa para designar al ‘jugador de baloncesto encargado de organizar el juego del equipo’. En el español de España se le dice "base" y en algunos países de América se le llama "armador" o "conductor". Así pues, es innecesario el uso de este anglicismo.
7. "Pick and roll", "bloqueo y continuación"
La situación en la que un atacante sin balón hace un bloqueo o pantalla sobre el defensor para que su compañero que lleva la pelota se deslice por detrás y continúe la jugada se conoce en inglés como "pick and roll". En español puede emplearse la alternativa "bloqueo y continuación".
8. "Cifras dobles", mejor que "dobles figuras"
Se recomienda escribir "cifras dobles" o "números de dos dígitos" en lugar de "dobles figuras", que es un calco del inglés "double figures", para aludir a los datos estadísticos de los jugadores que consiguen diez o más puntos, rebotes, asistencias, tapones o recuperaciones.
9. "Manejo de balón", mejor que "ball handling"
"Ball handling" también es un extranjerismo procedente del inglés. Hace referencia a los ejercicios

Along the main street in the famous Myeong-dong shopping district, you can find many street food vendors selling unique, tasty, and eye-catching street foods!\r

In this video, Marie and I try out some Ddeokgalbi Meatballs (떡갈비완자). Galbi is ually beef ribs. These meatballs are beef rib meat, which has been minced, and then mixed with seasonings, vegetables and then formed into a ball. Ddeok ually means rice cake. But theres no rice cake in these meatballs. The name comes from the way the balls are made, very similar in how rice balls are formed by hand into various shapes. \r

We decided to try the spicy meatballs. You can also get a non-spicy version. The meatballs are put on a skewer, and then the customer can put on various creme sauces, like ranch or dill. These sauces help to calm the spiciness, in the same way that buffalo hot wings can come with blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side. \r

Marie and I were very impressed with the flavor of these meatballs! They were very tasty balls! lol No kidding! Id go back and put those balls in my mouth any day. And for 3,000 Won for 5 meatballs, its a really good deal!\r

Thrustmaster T500RS Sparco Racing Steering Wheel Upgrade - Hub Adapter

Time to upgrade the Obutto R3volution gaming platform by putting a new steering wheel on my Thrustmaster T500RS. I went with a Sparco street wheel because it has tons of padding and feel great in my hands. I used the T500AD adapter from DSD Technology Systems Corporation to adapt the 70mm bolt pattern of the wheel to the native hub based T500RS design. I obtained the wheel for $200 from 425 Motorsports in Bellevue, WA and I couldnt be happier with the end results!\r

•IGN 8/10 After playing Gran Turismo 5 with the Thrustmaster T500 RS, I never wanted to go back to a PlayStation DualShock controller. But the cost of the system makes it impossible to recommend to all but the most hardcore Gran Turismo 5 fanatics. If you are currently playing GT5 with a standard PlayStation 3 DualShock controller while rolling around on a pile of gold doubloons, then do yourself a favor and pick up a T500. But be warned -- youll need something sturdy to clamp it to. As much fun as it might sound to hold something called a Thrustmaster in your lap, its not going to work with this one. Overall, the Thrustmaster T500 RS is a great piece of hardware that does the GT5 name proud. It brings the track alive, but at a terrible price.\r
•Engadget 6/10 At $599 its awfully hard to recommend this wheel and pedal combination. The wheel itself has a magnificent feel thats beginning to knock on the door of much more expensive offerings like a Frex or ECCI, and the number of inputs makes managing button-happy cars easier. But, those buttons are hard to find while driving and the rubber coating feels unfortunately low-rent. The massive size of the thing makes it best suited for semi-permanent installations and the limited PS3 compatibility is, for the moment at least, a disappointment. Meanwhile the pedals are overkill yet underwhelming. Theyre heavy and wont go anywhere but all that weight feels excessive, unnecessary, and adorned with rubber feet that kept falling off. Not exly what youd expect for $599. Ultimately either the Logitech G27 or the Fanatec line of wheels offer nearly as good performance at a much more palatable cost -- and with designs less likely to give you a hernia when hauling about the house.\r
•VirtualR.net So, is the T500 RS as innovative as the long feature list and the rather hefty price tag of 499€/$599 suggests? In one word: Yes! Dont get fooled by the Gran Turismo badge, this wheel is most likely the most advanced product ever offered in this price range. The wheels precision is unmatched and the very strong & silent force feedback even edges out Fanatecs Turbo S wheel.I´ve reviewed quite a lot of wheels and I´ve never instantly clicked with a new product as I did with the T500 RS. Usually, it takes me a bit of time to get up to speed with a new wheel but the T500 RS gave me instant confidence thanks to the great force feedback and the overall amazing feel provided when driving. Sadly, the pedal unit falls a bit off in terms of features, a load-cell brake would have been a fitting feature to make the pedals match the wheel and make it easier for more professional racers to consider switching to the T500 RS. Thrustmaster has put together a wheel that can compete even with professional wheels from niche-manufurers that often sell for more than three times the price. And while some competitors might offer some features the T500 RS does not have (more expensive materials, a built-in display) the wheel is certainly the new benchmark in terms of precision, raw force feedback power and overall feel that will satisfy even the most demanding sim racers.\r
•Simulation World 94/100 This is an amazing product that really has targeted a market and a price point and hit a home run right away. They were a little hard to get hold of for a while but are now beginning to spring up in retail stores in the US and Europe. If in doubt, check Frys.com and amazon.com to see if they are in stock. If you have the cash and are looking to upgrade from a Logitech but cant stomach the price of a ECCI, then this is the wheel for you. 14. The Spitting Cobras\r
These types of snakes are ually made up of several different species. Their name is a dead giveaway for what these guys can do. Their most effective defense mechanism is the ability to spit their venom into the eyes of whatever it targets. Their aim is scary-accurate but they can only try to guess their preys movement, which can lead to a missed shot.\r

This is officially the worlds most slender snake. They grow to about an average width of just 2cm thick and you can see why theyre called the ribbon snake. On top of being extremely venomous, they also happen to be one of the worlds fastest striking reptiles. \r

Dont be fooled. I know this looks like a worm and all but its ually a snake. This snake doesnt have any eyes, which is how it got its name, the blind snake. They mostly live underground and scavenge for different types of bugs and larvae. It is mildly venomous so make sure you do a double take and dont pick up one of these guys by mistake.\r

Look at this snake. Look at how majestic it looks. It looks like someone painted it with glow in the dark paint that they use for raves. This is the type of color combinations you see on acid trips, so Im told. But the California red-sided snake isnt one to worry about since they need to “chew” their prey to deliver their venom, which isnt life- threatening to humans.\r

9. The Emerald Tree Boa\r
This snake happens to be one of the larger snakes on this list. When fully grown, the adults can come out to be around 6 ft in length and are ually non-venomous. Fun f, these guys arent this emerald color when theyre babies because when theyre born theyre either red or yellow and turn green once they reach adulthood. \r

This snake is not one to be taken lightly and dont get distred by its blue skin. The Blue Racer absolutely hates any type of disturbance so stay away from them or theyll chase after you. In which case I hope youre a fast runner because these guys have been known to slither up to 8-10mph! \r

The flying tree snake is a golden color and is found in South and Southeast Asia. It happens to be incredibly thin which helps it to fly. Although, it doesnt ually “fly” fly but rather it glides through the air by flinging its body from treetops.\r

This species of snake is found underground in parts of Africa. Their most interesting trait is their flexible and venomous fangs. When a burrowing asp gets ready to strike, it elongates its fangs from its mouth, and it can even do it when its mouth is closed \r

This species is often found in Eastern Asia. Asia has a lot of snakes…. They usually feed on poisonous frogs since theyre immune to their poison. Whats ually pretty cool is that the keelback steals the frogs poison and stores it in these special neck glands to use later on any predator that tries to eat it. \r
