Arranca la Madrid Games Week, escaparate de más de 80 videojuegos españoles

La segunda edición de Madrid Games Week refleja la época floreciente del desarrollo español del videojuego y muestra, entre los 240 títulos distintos presentes, más de 80 títulos españoles independientes.

Esta proliferación, impulsada por la democratización de las herramientas de creación y por los proyectos llevados a cabo por equipos pequeños, se refleja en los más de 60 títulos españoles que mostrará Gamelab Academy. Por su parte, Sony acoge 25 proyectos inéditos españoles en la competición PlayStation Awards.

Rime es el máximo exponente de ese momento dulce que se empieza a hacer patente: se trata de una aventura del estudio Tequila Works que ha sido impulsada por Sony.

Con la premisa de buscar la belleza y la locura e inspirado en la luz del Mediterráneo y las pinturas de Sorolla y Dalí, este estudio español ha creado un videojuego sobre el descubrimiento y la incertidumbre inherentes a la infancia.

Su director, Raúl Rubio, ha explicado a Efe que la industria empieza a ser más sofisticada y a pasar de explotar las emociones primarias a tratar de que el jugador explore y descubra experiencias más complejas.

Considera que el desarrollo español está "en la cresta de la ola" gracias a la democratización de las herramientas de producción y distribución, si bien ha matizado que el talento siempre ha existido.

"Ahora estamos dispuestos a enfrentarnos, quizá no de tú a tú con las grandes, pero sí diciendo aquí estoy yo y lo que tengo que ofrecerte es algo que merece la pena ser contado, ser vivido, ser experimentado", ha sostenido Rubio.

Travel Planet - Canales de Amsterdam

Ámsterdam es llamada la «Venecia del norte» por sus más de 100 kilómetros de canales, unos 1500 puentes que los cruzan y alrededor de 90 islas.

Los tres principales canales, el Herengracht, el Prinsengracht y el Keizersgracht, que fueron construidos en el siglo XVII durante la «época dorada» neerlandesa, forman cinturones concéntricos alrededor de la ciudad. A lo largo de estos canales se alzan numerosos monumentos.

Esta área de la ciudad del siglo XVII, delimitada por el canal Singelgracht, ha sido incluida por la Unesco en la lista de Patrimonio de la Humanidad bajo el nombre de «Zona de canales concéntricos del siglo XVII delimitada por el Singelgracht de Ámsterdam» en 2010.


Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, has more than one hundred kilometers of grachten (canals), about 90 islands and 1,500 bridges. The three main canals (Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht), dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings.The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Jordaan, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, contributing to Amsterdam's fame as the "Venice of the North".


Gran parte del sistema de canales de Ámsterdam es fruto de una buena planificación urbana de la ciudad. En la primera parte del siglo XVII, con el aumento de la inmigración, se elaboró un plan integral en el que se establecían cuatro canales semicirculares concéntricos cuyos extremos desembocaban en la Bahía del IJ. Conocido como el Grachtengordel (Cinturón de Canales), tres de los canales estaban destinados en gran parte al desarrollo residencial (el Herengracht o Canal de los Señores; el Keizersgracht o Canal del Emperador; y el Prinsengracht o el Canal del Príncipe); y un cuarto canal, el exterior, Singelgracht o Canal Periférico (actuales calles Nassaukade y Stadhouderskade), para fines de defensa y gestión del agua. Están construidos con bordes u orillas de tierra apisonada o cantería, siempre armados para ser más resistentes con olmos o ulmus, árbol de raíz primaria o pivotante muy fuerte que actúa como un pilote. El plan también preveía la interconexión de los canales a lo largo de los radios; la creación de un conjunto de canales paralelos en el barrio de Jordaan (principalmente para el transporte de mercancías, como la cerveza); la conversión de un canal perimetral interno ya existente (el Singel), con fines defensivos, en un canal orientado al desarrollo residencial y comercial; y la creación de más de un centenar de puentes. El propósito defensivo de las calles Nassaukade y Stadhouderskade se consiguió mediante la construcción de un foso y diques de tierra, con puertas en los puntos de tránsito pero sin superestructuras de mampostería.

La construcción se realizó de oeste a este, como si se tratase de un gigantesco limpiaparabrisas.
