18 students and a teacher stabbed in new school attack

A man has been executed on murder charges after The Supreme People's Court denied his appeal for a reprieve. The middle aged man stabbed 13 students last month outside a local primary school in Nanping city, in East China's Fujian Province.

Eight pupils died at the site, and another five were severely injured. Police investigations show the man had had several unsuccessful romantic encounters before he decided to attack the children, whom he thought were an easier target than adults. The man appealed and asked for a two year reprieve after a local court sentenced him to death.

Shortly after the execution, another school stabbing took place in South China's Guangdong Province. A man barged into a local primary school in Leizhou City and attacked 18 students and a teacher before being subdued by the police. The injured have been sent to hospital and the school was evacuated. There is no update on how badly hurt the victims are or if anyone has been killed.

I am attempting to narrate what is happening for the main video camera. My voice transcription is as follows:\r

6:17:29 I want to find an east road here, Im getting a little to close. I need to start looking for the east (road) option. The tornado was moving east at this point. I didnt want to go farther south and risk not being able to reach the next east road option to the south after Reuter Road.\r

Iran_Nuclear program is peaceful

The UN Security Council is crafting a fourth round of sanctions on Iran to curb its nuclear program. But Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadenijad, said internal politics both within Iran and the US, are making it more difficult to reach a deal on the issue.

Western powers suspect that Iran's nuclear program is aimed at building weapons, while Iran maintains it is for peaceful uses to generate power.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's President, said, "When we say we do not want the bomb we mean it. If we want the bomb, we will tell everybody that we want it because we are not afraid. So as a result, our policy is transparent on this matter. We always say that we believe that US policy in the Middle East is something we are opposed to and that we will resist. We are not afraid of saying our position."

Terrorists who beheaded tourists in Atlas Mountains sentenced to death

Salé, Morocco, Jul 18 (EFE).- Three terrorists who beheaded two Scandinavian tourists in the Atlas Mountains have been sentenced to death.
 
Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway, were found murdered in their tent in Morocco in December.
 
Abdessamad Ejjoud, a 25-year-old street seller, carpenters Younes Ouaziyad, 27, and Rachid Afatti, 33, had all sworn allegiance to the so-called Islamic State before carrying out the brutal killings.
 
The trio were given the death penalty at a court in Salé, near the city of Rabat, on Thursday.
 
All three had previously confessed to the murder of the two women, who were mountaineering in the village of Imlil, near Mount Toubkal, the highest peak of the range in north Africa.
 
Another 21 defendants were also convicted for varying degrees of involvement in the crimes and were handed sentences of between five years and life imprisonment.
 
The main charges included terrorist offences, possession and use of weapons and attempts to manufacture explosives.
