The Classic Inca Trail starts at the kilometer 82 where the small Andean community of Piskacucho is located. Piskacucho is located about 8,500 feet above sea level. On the way to your first campsite www.latikaincatrail.com you will be able to observe the Urubamba River, beautiful nevadoes, and the ruins of Huillcaraccay, Patallacta, and Pulpituyoc. Wayllabamba is the name of your first campsite and is located about 10,160 feet above sea level.

River Rafting in Cusco

The Cusco region offers exceptional opportunities for fans of river rafting. The rivers, both the Apurimac and the Urubamba river are good and the scenery fabulous. Rafting Tours are offered from one day to 8 days! The Apurimac is considered one of the best and most exciting rivers in the world for river rafting because of it´s ideal conditions in terms of temperatures, rapids, water sandy beaches for the campsites, etc. Previous experience is not needed, but you must know how to swim.

La famosa frase de Juego de Tronos "the winter is coming" también se puede aplicar a los deportes de invierno. Los deportistas de las diferentes disciplinas del esquí aguardan la llegada del invierno para poder competir. Las pistas de Coronet Peak, en Queenstown (Nueva Zelanda), son las primeras en dar la bienvenida al campeonato de esquí alpino. Es una de las 11 pruebas que se disputan en territorio neozelandés. La prueba se desarrollará del 28 de agosto al 1 de septiembre, en la que hombres y mujeres buscarán iniciar con buen pie las disciplinas del slalom y super slalom. Solo uno a final de temporada podrá sentarse en el trono del esquí mundial.
