    You will learn about Simple Distillation in this video. The process of heating a liquid mixture to form vapor and then cooling that vapor to get a liquid is called simple distillation. Distillation is used to purify a liquid by separating the components of a liquid mixture. Activity to understand Simple Distillation. Take a mixture of acetone and water in a distillation flask. Put a thermometer in it. Connect the flask to a water condenser. The condenser has cold water running through its jacket to keep the temperature cool. Keep a beaker at the outlet of the condenser. Heat the mixture, keeping an eye on the thermometer. When temperature hits 56 degrees celsius, acetone starts to vaporize. These vapors condense in the water condenser. The condensed acetone gets collected in the beaker. When all the acetone vaporizes, water is left in the flask, acetone is collected in the beaker. In this way, acetone and water get separated by simple distillation. Important note: Boiling point of water is 100 degrees celsius. Boiling point of acetone is 56 degrees celsius. As there is sufficient difference between their boiling points, these components can be separated by simple distillation. Simple distillation does not work properly when difference between 2 boiling points is less than 25 degrees celsius. This is because the components do not get separated and purified completely. If we repeat this process multiple times, we will be able to separate these 2 components. However, as this is very time consuming, a special type of distillation called frional distillation is used.\r

    Get 400 yellow dandelion flowers and pour 3 liters of water over them. Then, cut 4 oranges and 4 lemons into slices and add them to the mixture. Leave the mixture for 24 hours.\r

    After 24 hours, strain the mixture and pour the liquid into a pot. Add 2 cups of sugar into the pot and cook for about half an hour.\r

    Once the mixture boils and gets thick enough, remove from heat and transfer the syrup into sterilized jars. Use the dandelion syrup to treat cold, cough, or bronchitis.\r

    Hi Guys, today Im reviewing the Zoku Ice Cream Maker. Link to Zoku Ice Cream Maker: It makes a 5 ounce serving of ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt or sorbet in 10 minutes. This is a single serve unit. The Zoku comes with the stainless steel inner bowl, outer sleeve, spoon and instruction manual with some recipes. It is BPA free. \r
    The unit is the size of a cereal bowl. It comes in lots of fun colors, this pretty blue, red, lime green, orange, purple and light blue. To make ice cream, take the inner bowl out of the outer sleeve. Put this in the freezer upright for 12 hours. While its freezing, make your ice cream mixture. Any mixture you use has to be chilled and at 40 degrees fahrenheit or less. So the longer you chill the mixture, the better. Im making vanilla ice cream and am using the recipe from the manual. The recipes in the manual make 6 5 oz servings. I just cut the recipe to two servings so I have 10 ounces here. This is ½ cup milk, ½ cup cream, ⅓ cup sugar, pinch of salt and 1.5 tsps vanilla extr. Make sure to stir the ingredients for about 3 minutes because the sugar and salt have to be completely dissolved. Its an extremely simple recipe. I could just drink this, its sö good. \r
    \r
    My ice cream mixture is chilled. The bowl has been in the freezer for over 12 hours. Put the bowl in the outer sleeve. There is no locking or snapping, the bowl just sits in the sleeve. Use 5 ounces of ice cream mixture. I like to put my mixture in a measuring cup in the fridge, its so much easier to know how much to pour, theres no guessing. Ill start my timer. Immediately after you pour the mixture, start scraping the bowl with the included spoon. Scrape the mixture into the middle, stir and scrape continuously. If you wait too long to stir, the ice cream could really harden up and be harder to scrape. Clean the spoon on the edge of the bowl. You can see the ice cream is starting to get thick. This is the time to add any toppings you might want to - chocolate chips or crumbled up cookies, candy, berries, whatever you like. The ice cream is formed in 5 minutes. If you want very hard ice cream, put the bowl in the fridge for 10 - 20 minutes. The outer sleeve cannot go in the freezer.\r

    Wash the ice cream maker in warm, soapy water. This is not dishwasher safe. If the outer sleeve gets stuck, rinse the whole thing under warm water and twist the sleeve off. You can separate the unit like this to clean and it just snaps back together. Dont scrub or use any utensils other than the included spoon. Dry the unit and store it in your freezer so its ready to pull out when you want ice cream. \r
    \r
    The Zoku is a good single serve ice cream maker. Its great for people who want to make healthier frozen desserts and also those who believe in portion control. If you start scooping store bought ice cream, itll definitely turn out to be more than 5 ounces. As with any ice cream maker, its nice to be able to control the ingredients that go into your dessert. I think this will also be fun for kids. Of course youll have to get them each their own unit but itll keep them busy for a few minutes. \r

    Almonds(chopped) 10 nos, \r
    Seviya 2 cups\r
    Butter 2 tsp\r
    Ghee 2 tsp\r

    METHOD:\r

    1. Boil milk with corn flour in a pan and cook for 2-3 min so that it forms slight thick mixture.\r

    2. Boil sugar with little water in a pan to make like a gulab jamun syrup, at last add rose water boil it for 1 min and switch off flame.\r

    3. In a bowl add raisins, cashew nuts, almond, seviya, butter and slightly crush it.\r

    4. Add ghee and mix it.\r

    5. Take a baking tray and place one layer of seviya pour some cornstarch milk mixture, add second layer of seviya, pour some cornstarch milk mixture, add last layer of seviya and press it with hand.\r

    6. Bake at 180 degree for 15 mins until it slightly golden in colour.\r

    7. Loosen edges with knife and demould into a plate.\r
    \r
    8. Pour sugar syrup on its top and garnish with pistachios.\r

    9. Now kunafa is ready to serve.

    1. 375g (13.23 oz) unsalted butter, softened\r
    2. 3 teaspoons vanilla extr\r

    4. 4 eggs\r
    5. 4 1/2 cups self-raising flour\r
    6. 1 1/2 cups milk\r
    7. Violet, sky blue, leaf green, pink and lemon yellow gel food colorings\r
    8. 1 1/2 tablespoons banana-flavored Nesquik powder or 2 teaspoons banana essence (optional)\r
    9. 2 teaspoons strawberry essence (optional)\r
    10. Red, orange, yellow, green and blue M & Ms\r
    11. Purple and pink Smarties, to decorate\r
    To make buttercream icing:\r
    1. 500g (17.64 oz) unsalted butter, softened\r
    2. 6 cups powdered icing mixture\r
    3. 2 teaspoons clear vanilla extr\r
    Method:\r
    1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F). Grease two 7 cm (2 3/4 inch)-deep, 20 cm (8 inch)-round cake pans (I use two 20cm (8 inch) spring baking pans). Line base and sides with 2 layers of baking paper.\r
    2. Using an electric mixer, beat butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until combined after each addition. Add flour. Beat on low speed, gradually adding milk, until just combined. Divide mixture between 5 bowls. Using food coloring, tint 1 portion purple and remaining portions blue, green, pink and yellow. Add banana-flavored powder or banana essence to yellow mixture(optional) and strawberry essence to pink mixture (optional), stirring to combine. Note: Strawberry and banana flavoring to approximate bubblegum. \r
    3. Using half of each colored mixture, drop tablespoons of the mixtures, alternating colors, into 1 prepared cake pan. Repeat with remaining mixtures and second cake pan. Run a butter knife back and forth through both mixtures to create a slight marbled effect (dont over-marble). Bake cakes together for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted into the center of each cake comes out clean (cover cakes loosely with foil if over-browning). Stand in pans for 10 minutes. Turn, top-side up, onto a wire rack to cool completely.\r
    4. To make buttercream icing: Using electric mixer, beat butter for 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in icing sugar until pale and fluffy. Add vanilla. Beat until combined. \r
    5. Using a serrated knife, level tops of cakes if necessary. Place 1 cake on serving plate. Spread 3/4 cup of icing over top of cake. Top with second cake. Spread remaining icing over top and side of cake. Decorate top with M & Ms and Smarties. Use remaining colors for the row along the base. Makes about 24 serves.

    This is how I whip my Shea Butter to get a soft creamy luxurious texture that is so much easier for me to use. You can add whatever oils you like these are just the oils I chose to you. You can add less or more oils to suit your hair. You can also use whatever fragrance you like, my favorite is peppermint I dont know why lol.\r
    \r
    Here is what youll need:\r
    1 cup of Shea Butter\r
    1/2 cup of Coconut Oil\r
    1 tbsp. Castor Oil\r
    1 tbsp. Olive Oil\r
    1 tbsp. Grapeseed Oil\r
    1/2 tsp Tea Tree Oil\r
    1 tsp Glycerin\r
    Few Drop of Essential Oil\r
    Mixer\r
    Bowl\r
    Spatula\r
    \r
    In my experience its best to whip the mixture for about 40-45 mins total because it tends to go back to its original state if you dont. Trust me this is the secret to keeping your hair moisturized.\r

    1 CUP HEAVY CREAM\r

    For the Filling: In a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, warm the milk and chocolate. Whisk them occasionally until the chocolate is melted.\r
    \r
    In a large bowl, combine the egg yolks and sugar, whisking them until pale yellow. Add cornstarch, salt and vanilla.\r
    \r
    Slowly pour the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking them well.\r
    \r
    Return the mixture to the saucepan, and cook over medium heat until it thickens and begins to bubble slowly, about 7 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir the mixture until its smooth, about 1 minute.\r
    \r
    Pour the chocolate filling into the cookie crust, and smooth it with a spatula. Cover it with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface, and refrigerate it for 2 hours.\r
    \r
    For the Chocolate Curls: Microwave a medium-size chunk of chocolate on low for about 5 seconds. Using a vegetable peeler, slowly and evenly scrape the edge of the chunk until curls form. (If its too cold, the peeler will make ragged shavings instead of curls, so repeat warming the chocolate as necessary.) Refrigerate the curls until ready to use.\r

    For the Topping: Using an electric mixer fitted with a whisk (whip) attachment, beat the cream, sugar and vanilla on medium-high until stiff peaks form.\r
    \r
    Spoon the whipped cream onto the pie, and use a spatula to spread it evenly, being careful not to disturb the chocolate pudding underneath.\r
    \r
    Decorate with chocolate curls.\r
    \r
    Refrigerate the pie until ready to serve, but let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving.

    This has become the most miss understood Recipe on my channel. It seems everyone expects a Solid Clotted Cream, which clotted cream never was or is. If you separated it and then chilled it you have lost the overall effect, it should be chilled as is and while as the fats settle, you will have a Thick crust under which is a thick buttery cream and under which is a much thinner Cream. That is the way clotted cream has been throughout the ages but every one only seems to expect the top layer? \r

    When you scoop out the Chilled Cream you have a mixture of thinner Cream and Thick Buttery Clots. that is the beauty of Clotted Cream, not that horrible stuff they sell in Supermarkets, which is just Thickened Cream, with no Charer whatsoever. \r

    I think as most peoples experience with clotted cream is the fake stuff sold in stores, and served in cafes that have no interest in Authenticity of the product, that over the years, less and less people, chefs and Cafe Owners truly know what Clotted Cream is.\r

    I get Asked time and time again the same question The bottoms Thin, what went wrong Nothing went wrong.. Chill it, scoop out the delight which is both Thin and Thick and Buttery, dont waste the bottom, its part of the beauty of clotted Cream..\r

    Please think about it, the fats in Cream are Butter Fats and what happens to butter when its hot or cream for that matter, it gets Runny. The Skin on the top is the clots and when it chills in the fridge you will have a Thick clotted Cream on top and a Thinner milkier cream underneath, that is the norm for Clotted Cream, both the top and the bottom layer of the Cream are Usable parts of clotted Cream.\r
    \r
    The Density of the two creams will vary as to how good (or how rich in fat) your original cream was but even the poorer quality creams seem to do OK. So dont panic, you are on the right track.\r

    This is an Indian style homemade easy Suji pizza recipe. This breakfast spicy pizza recipe is very easy to make. Learn how to make pizza with this evening snacks recipe. Some makes bread pizza but I love this recipe. Its healthy recipe too.\r
    Full Recipe:\r

    1 ½ cup Semolina/suji\r
    1 cup plain yogurt\r
    Salt to taste\r
    2 pieces of chopped green chilly\r
    Tomato sauce\r
    Chilly sauce\r
    Black pepper powder\r
    2medium sized finely chopped onion\r
    2 small finely chopped tomato\r
    Freshly chopped coriander leaves\r
    Sev as required\r
    1 tsp Soda/ eno as required\r
    2 tbsp oil\r
    \r
    How to make Suji Pizza Recipes:\r
    1. Take a Bowl and add Semolina, salt to taste, yogurt and mix it well for few seconds.\r
    2. I have not added water but if the mixture is dry add water as needed and mix them properly into a smooth batter. Make sure there should be no lumps in it.\r
    3. Now let it rest the batter for 15-20 minutes.\r
    4. After 15 minutes uncovered the batter and you will see the batter has become smooth and slightly thick as rava absorbs the water so add water accordingly to get the right consistency, mix it well.\r
    5. Now the batter is ready. It should not be too thick or too light like dropping water. It should have medium thickness.\r
    6. To make Suji pizza base do not add soda or eno at once take another bowl and put soda/eno in the mixture which you are going to cook and let the extra batter wait on counter top to finish the cooking of first Suji pizza base. \r
    7. Put ¼ cup of suji mixture in a bowl and add ¼ tsp of soda, mix it well.\r
    8. Take a non-stick pan and grease the pan with little oil, once the pan becomes medium hot pour the batter. Do not spread the batter thinly, spread thick batter. \r
    9. Size of the Suji pizza base depends upon the batter you have taken to spread.\r
    10. Drizzle little oil all around and top of the suji pizza, Cover with the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes from downwards on low flame till it becomes brown.\r
    11. After 3 minutes you will see the upper surface has changes its colour, now flip the Suji pizza and cook it from other side too.\r
    12. Cook for 2 minutes only from other side, no need to cook too much. Once it turns light brown take it out from the pan, this way non-spicy suji pizza base is ready.\r
    13. Once you finish the cooking of first pizza base then again put some suji mixture in a bowl and add soda/eno, mix it well. Repeat the same process for the remaining suji mixture.\r
    14. To make Spicy Suji pizza base- Pour the batter and put some chopped green chilly on top and if you like can sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves, drizzle oil all around the edges and cook it just like non-spicy Suji Pizza base.\r
    15. Base of suji pizza is ready; now lets start making Suji Pizza-\r
    16. Take both spicy and non-spicy Pizza base in a tray.\r
    17. Put 1 tsp of tomato and 1 tsp of chilly sauce on both the pizza base and spread it evenly all around with the spoon.\r
    18. Now spread some finely chopped onion and tomato over the suji pizza.\r
    19. Sprinkle salt, black pepper and lastly garnish it with some sev and chopped coriander leaves.\r
    20. Indian style Suji pizza is ready to serve.\r
    21. Serve hot.\r
    Note:\r
    1. You can also spread Pizza pasta sauce.\r
    2. You can also sprinkle Oregano or chilly flakes and can garnish it with some grated cheese.\r
    3. Dont use chilly sauce while making for kids.\r

    Try this simply divine, moist strawberry cake recipe from scratch. Some like to refer this to the Southern strawberry cake recipe or jello cake. \r
    \r
    This simple cake recipe is good for two 8 or 9 pans. Remember homemade strawberry cake has less sugar and preservatives than commercial strawberry cake box mixes\r
    \r
    Bake time is approx 40-45 minutes. Check baking progress about 37 minutes in to avoid over-baking. Also, watch my YouTube demo for ex preparations steps.\r
    \r
    Dont wanna big strawberry cake?? See the ingredient list below for two 6 cakes.\r
    \r
    Begin by preheating oven to 350 degree.\r
    \r
    Coat the bottom on your pan with shortening, top with a parchment round and baking spray with flour. I would highly recommend using grade AA or A unsalted butter, such as Land O Lake. Measure all ingredients accurately and bring the butter and eggs to room temperature.\r
    \r
    1-Combine the packet of strawberry Jello\r
    \r
    2. Scrabble the egg(s).\r
    \r
    3.Thoroughly mix the flour, salt and baking powder with a wire whisk before sifting them. This will ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the batter. I prefer to sift my dry ingredients onto parchment paper because its easier to divide the mixture into three portions using a bench scraper.\r
    \r
    4. Kitchen Aid mixers are the creme de la creme of mixers, but they are also more expensive. Using a hand-held mixer will give you similar results, but more careful attention is required during the mixing process. If using a hand-held mixer, mix on medium to high.\r
    \r
    5. Creaming the butter:\r
    \r
    Place the butter/shortening in your mixing bowl, using the paddle attachment beat the fat on low-speed. Once the butter and shortening is incorporated,slowly drizzle the sugar/jello mixture . Once the sugar and fat are blended, cream the mixture at a moderate speed until the mixture is light and fluffy. This process may take anywhere from 4-6 minutes. The consistency of the sugar/butter should be similar to marshmallow fluff and will also lighten in color. I left the youtube clip(s) normal speed, normally I increase the film speed. However, this was purposely done to illustrate the importance of creaming the fat and sugar.\r
    \r
    6. Add the vanilla extr\r
    \r
    7. Slowly begin to drizzle the egg (s) and beat on low speed until the eggs are absorbed into the mixture. This will take anywhere from 2-4 minutes depending on your mixer.\r
    \r
    8. Stop mixing and thoroughly scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl to ensure even mixing.\r
    \r
    9.Alternate between the dry and wet ingredients. Begin by adding a third of the dry (flour,salt,baking powder) mixing just until blended, then add 1/2 the milk and blend on low speed. Stop the mixer and thoroughly scrap down the bowl to ensure even mixing. Add the 2nd portion of the dry ingredients and mix on low speed for about 30 seconds, stop and scrap the bowl. Add the remaining portion of milk and on low speed mix for another 20 seconds or so. Stop the mixer;scrap the bowl thoroughly before adding the last batch of dry ingredients. Add the last portion of the dry ingredients and mix on low speed just until its blended. Its important not to over-mix or it may cause the development of gluten in the strawberry cake, which will give the cake a tough texture.\r
    \r
    10.Equally divide your batter among your pans and place them in the center rack of the oven. Allow enough space in between the cakes for proper circulation. Bake for 30-35 for two 6 cakes, and 40-45 minutes for two 8 or 9 cakes (check the cake 27 minutes in to avoid over-baking. Cake is done when a wooden pick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.\r
    \r
    10. Allow cakes to cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before turning them out.\r
    \r
    11. Cake must cool completely before frosting.\r
    \r

    Warning: This experiment uses mildly toxic chemicals, wear gloves when handling them. In addition, the combustion reion must be performed outside or in a fume-hood due to the resulting smoke and gasses.\r

    For this experiment youll need:\r
    Strontium Nitrate: \r
    Aluminum Nitrate: \r
    Purification by recrystalization: \r
    Europium and dysprosium nitrates: \r
    And youll need nitric acid to make the above nitrates: \r
    \r
    The procedure is relatively straightforward: 1.875g of aluminum nitrate nonahydrate with 530mg of strontium nitrate, 10.7mg of europium nitrate pentahydrate, 21.9mg of dysprosium nitrate pentahydrate and 30.9mg of boric acid are dissolved in 3mL of distilled water. 3.9g of pure urea is added and shaken until dissolved. The mixture is heated in a 1000watt microwave for 4 minutes. Eventually itll ignite and combust. The white ash is the glow powder.\r
    \r
    Can be used in Glow in the Dark Paint if crushed into a powder and mixed with an appropriate clear paint/resin/lacquer/glue.

    Hello and welcome to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor. Today I am going to teach you how to make Amazing applesauce muffins. They are super delicious, easy to make, and they are cheap. Lets get started. Ok, for the ingredients, we need four cups of flour, two cups of sugar, two large eggs, two cups of applesauce, one cup of melted butter, one teaspoon of vanilla extr, finally one teaspoon of cinnamon, and one teaspoon of baking soda. First what we are going to is we are going to cream the butter with the sugar. Now what we want to do is we want to add the eggs. Then, we are going to add one teaspoon of vanilla extr. Next, lets transfer this mixture of sugar, and butter, and extr, and we will go right in with the applesauce, we will get it all in there. Ok now, I am going to add my baking soda and my cinnamon to the flour. And I will wisk this up really well. And Now I am going to add my mixture to the flour. And lets mix it all together. Scrape the sides a little bit, so we can get the extra flour all mixed in. And lets go ahead and preheat the over to 350. Take our bowl here, and we can start filling the cups, about 3 quarters full. And then once you have all your cups filled with the batter, lets go ahead and put these in the oven, remember 350 degrees, and we will cook them for twenty to twenty-five minutes, until they are risen and they are about golden brown, and then what you are going to do is take a toothpick and stab it with a toothpick, pull it out, if it is nice and clean you are good to go. If there is a little bit of batter left on it, put it in for a couple of more minutes. See you when they are done. Ok the muffins are out of the oven and ready to be eaten. First, heres the breakdown. It took about 15 minutes for the prep and about 25 minutes for the baking time. Total cost $3.64, that makes it about 15 cents per muffin. That is awesome, 15 cents for a muffin. Now, I have never seen applesauce muffins at the store, at least my store, maybe they have some where you live. But uh, yeah, I mean 15 cents for a muffin, cant beat that. So if you have a bunch of applesauce lying around, and you dont want to eat it all, why dont you make some muffins, these things are fantastic. So I am going to have one. Oh yeah, oh, oh, mm, mmm, mmm. Yeah, these are amazing. Mm, mm, not super sweet, a little dense.     1 cup baking soda\r
    1/2 cup powdered citric acid\r
    1/4 cup cornstarch\r
    1 1/4 cups Epsom salt, divided\r
    1 tsp buttercream fragrance oil\r
    1 tsp warm vanilla sugar fragrance oil\r
    1 tbsp olive oil\r
    multicolored sprinkles (optional)\r
    \r
    Directions: Mix the baking soda, cornstarch, citric acid and 1/4 cup Epsom salt in a plastic bowl. Create a well in the center of the mixture and add fragrance oils and olive oil. Mix into dry ingredients until mixture looks fluffy and well-blended. Add remaining Epsom salt and sprinkles and mix until homogenous. Store in an airtight container such as a jar or Ziploc bag.\r

    Many men, and less often women, face difficulties in hair loss, and acceptance of this problem can be quite difficult. They may have known it was coming for some time, watching the other people in your family cope with the same problem, but that does not make it easier. Fortunately, while hair loss is largely genetic, a good diet can stimulate healthy hair growth and even possibly reduce baldness. Moreover, there are a number of natural remedies for hair loss and thinning hair, so you do not have to go directly to the pharmacy for pharmaceuticals.\r
    \r
    Garlic and onion\r
    Traditional medical price has been based on this time-tested remedy for hair regrowth. The sulfur content increases the production of collagen and helps hair grow. Both onion and garlic are Rick sulfur and can serve as a starting point to regrow hair.\r
    Chop an onion finely and squeeze the juice. Apply the juice to your scalp for about 15 minutes and then wash gently.\r
    \r
    Coconut oil\r
    The natural ingredient found in coconut oil promotes hair growth. Coconut oil is rich in essential fats, minerals and proteins needed to decrease hair loss and breakage. The content of iron and potassium help to make stronger the hair from root to tip.\r
    Grate a piece of coconut and squeeze milk. Mix with a little water and then applied to any area of the scalp where the hair appears to be thinning. Leave this solution in the evening and then rinse with warm water the next morning.\r

    Amla\r
    This is an excellent source of vitamin C and good for both hair growth and overall health. Amla is rich in antioxidants and is available in many herbal stores.\r
    Grind the amla fruit juice and capture. Add 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed equal parts lemon juice and mix well. Apply this on the scalp and leave it on until it dries. Follow this with a gentle rinse with hot water.\r

    The zinc content, iron, phosphorus, iodine, selenium and sulfur eggs promote hair regrowth. Eggs are valuable as a strategy for hair loss and to promote regrowth of new hair.\r
    Mix one teaspoon extra virgin olive oil with white of an egg. Whisk until a paste-like consistency and the entire scalp and hair hair also apply. Rinse and wash with a mild shampoo after 20 minutes.\r
    \r
    Lemon essential oil and castor oil\r
    This remedy works well for re-growth of lost hair and prevent new hair loss.\r
    Combine 8 tablespoons of castor oil and a tablespoon of lemon essential oil in a glass bottle. Shake to promote optimum mixture. Apply this on the scalp and work in a small amount with your fingers. Massage for a total of two minutes and then allowed to stand the mixture for 15 minutes. Follow by a shampoo and rinse with cold water. Repeat daily or as often as you want. Follow this by a cool water shampoo and rinse. Repeat daily or as often as you like. Keep the unused portion away from heat and sunlight. \r

    Coconut milk, avocado and lemon juice.\r
    Ayurvedic medicine uses this resource to stop a receding hairline and promote new hair growth.\r
    Combine half a freshly peeled 4 tablespoons avocado with coconut milk. Mix in 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and mix or blend in a blender for 15 seconds. The mixture should be pureed and easy to massage the scalp. Leave this on for 30 minutes and then rinse. Wash with a mild shampoo.

  • Beef Tips and Apple Crisp

    (Crock Pot Girls)

    enna's Beef Tips -

    Sirloin Tip Steaks (2-3 steaks)
    1 can of GOLDEN mushroom soup
    ½ can of water (use can from soup)
    ½ can of white cooking wine (use can from soup)
    1 packet of onion soup mix
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 medium onion cut into rings

    In your slow cooker, combine soup, water, cooking wine, onion soup mix, and minced garlic. Wisk together to remove lumps, then add onions and steaks (we just put them into the liquid whole, and pull the meat apart once it is cooked... you can cut meat up before cooking if you choose). Make sure the steaks are fully covered in the mixture; you can add a little liquid if needed to cover the steaks. Cook on low for 8 hours.

    -3 TBSP Unsalted Butter\r
    -1 10-oz back of mini-marshmallows\r
    -6 CUPS Rice Cereal \r
    (shortening to grease equipment and hands!)\r

    Pour rice cereal into a greased, large mixing bowl\r
    Also, grease your mixing spoon with shortening\r
    Melt the butter over medium heat, in a heavy bottom pan\r
    Add the mini marshmallows and heat until completely melted\r
    Pour the melted marshmallow over the rice cereal and stir until combined, and all cereal is evenly coated\r
    Dump mixture into a well greased 9x13 baking dish and press firmly with greased hands so the cereal is well comped.\r
    Allow to cool & set (about 30 minutes) before turning out and cutting into portions.\r

    ~ 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar \r

    ~ 1 tsp Ginger Paste\r
    ~ Vegetable Oil\r
    ~ Corn Starch\r

    *Put the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and ginger into a medium sauce pan and let simmer to a boil.\r
    *Cut flank steak against the grain into pieces like in the video.\r
    *Place flank steak into plastic bag and sprinkle in some corn starch (enough to coat the pieces of meat).\r
    *Place bag of meat into the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.\r
    *Next, grab a larger skillet and add 2 tbsps of vegetable oil on low-medium heat.\r
    *Stir the soy sauce mixture occasionally and continue to let simmer.\r
    *At this point, you can now take the steak out of the refrigerator and add to the large skillet with the vegetable oil.\r
    *Brown meat and stir occasionally. \r
    *Once meat is fully brown- pour in soy sauce mixture and let simmer until sauce thickens.\r

    2 Sticks (1 cup) Butter\r
    1 cup Packed Brown Sugar\r
    1/2 cup White Granulated Sugar\r
    2 Eggs (1 full egg, 1 egg yolk)\r
    2 tsp. Vanilla Extr\r
    2 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour\r
    1/2 tsp. Baking Soda\r
    1/2 tsp. Salt\r
    1 Package (12 oz.) Semisweet or Dark Chocolate chips (2 cups)\r

    Instructions:\r

    Preheat oven to 350º F.\r
    Cream together sugars, butter, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl.\r
    In another bowl, whisk together dry ingredients.\r
    Add dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just blended.\r
    Fold in chocolate chips.\r
    Add rounded tablespoons of dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.\r
    Bake at 350º F until light golden brown 8-10 minutes.\r

    At first becoming a stay at home Mom was a tad overwhelming especially since my little baby wasnt quite used to a routine yet. It took a couple of months to establish a mommy morning routine for myself and also a baby morning routine so that I knew what to expect so I could plan out my day in an organized fashion like I like! First we get up at 6-7am and she has her morning feed, then I make breakfast and get ready for the day while Doug watches her. Being able to put on my makeup and ually take a shower without being rushed is so important for maintaining me time! Then she goes down for her first nap of the day and I clean up the house. After that we go on a walk with the stroller and thats our mommy and baby morning routine!\r

  • Butterscotch Cake

    This is an easy and delicious Butterscotch Cake. Beginning with a cake mix & ending with bakery quality. You dont want to miss this one. Its amazing!!\r

    Preheat oven to 325\r
    \r
    1 box yellow cake mix (no pudding in the mix)\r
    4 eggs\r
    1/2 cup oil\r
    1 box (4 1/2 cup size) instant vanilla pudding\r
    8 oz container sour cream\r
    11 oz bag of butterscotch chips\r
    1 cup chopped nuts\r
    \r
    Mix together first 5 ingredients until well blended. Mix in the butterscotch chips and nuts.\r
    Grease & flour a Bundt pan very well\r
    Pour cake mixture into Bundt pan. Bake for 50 minutes, check for doneness and if required it can bake for a total of 60 minutes.\r
    Let the cake cool 15 minutes in the pan before turning out on a rack to cool completely. This cake does not require an icing. I iced it with 1-1/2 cups confectionary sugar, 2 tblsp. melted butter and enough lemon juice to flow over the cake with a fork. Enjoy

    Chocolate ganache recipe:\r
    400 grams dark chocolate\r
    200 grams heavy / whipping cream\r
    microwave for 30 seconds and stir until melted. You may find that you need to return the mixture to the microwave for an additional 10 seconds, then stir until all is combined and melted. \r

    WHITE CHOCOLATE:\r
    I melted white chocolate with a touch of vegetable oil (approximately 1/4 cup of white chocolate for each colour, added in one to 2 drops of gel food colour and about 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil so it doesnt seize). \r

    The bottom tier was a red velvet cake and the top tier was a marbled white and dark chocolate mud cake. \r

  • How To Brown Your Turkey

    Servings: About 15\r
    Carbs: 2g/serving\r
    \r
    Ingredients:\r
    A) Turkey, 20 pounder\r
    B) Butter (3 sticks, melted + 4-5 tbsp softened)\r
    C) Wine! (bottle of dry white wine; doesnt need to be expensive)\r
    D) sea salt\r
    E) black pepper\r
    F) More wine (optional, but if you are cooking the bird why not treat yourself!)\r
    G) Cheesecloth!!! -- \r
    \r
    Directions\r
    1. Wash your bird in cold water. Be sure to pat it dry inside and out with paper towels. Let it sit in the roasting rack for about 90 minutes to 2 hours -- easier to butter the sucker! \r
    2. Place roasting rack on lowest position in the oven and pre-heat to 450.\r
    3. Combine the melted butter and wine in sauce pan. Soak your cheese cloth in the butter & wine mixture. \r
    4. Meanwhile, salt and pepper the inside of the bird. Next rub the softened butter on the bird, including the bottom. Finally salt and pepper on the outside of the bird. \r
    5. Next, wring out the cheesecloth and cover the bird. Make sure cheesecloth stays on the bird and inside roasting pan (dont want it touching in the oven!!!). Using a pastry brush baste the cheesecloth with the wine and butter mixture. Keep your wine and butter mixture on the stove, warming up as needed to keep butter melted.\r
    6. Place bird in the oven and cook for 30 minutes; after 30 minutes, turn the temperature down to 350. You want to baste the cheesecloth EVERY 30 minutes with a pastry brush to keep the bird moist. After 3 hours, remove cheesecloth but continue to baste the turkey every 30 minutes. If you dont have enough of the wine and butter mix, use pan juices. If you find your turkey browning too fast in some spots after cheesecloth is off, cover that portion with tin foil to protect the skin. After 4 hours, check the temperature of the bird, poking your thermometer in the thickest part of the thigh without touching bone. When unstuffed bird reaches 180 degrees, remove from oven. If you are cooking a stuffed bird, the stuffing should be about 165 degrees. \r
    7. Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.\r

  • French Silk Pie

    Rich and creamy and delicious French Silk Pie. Without raw eggs. \r

    Ingredients:\r
    1 cup sugar\r
    3 eggs\r
    3 squares unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled\r
    1 tsp vanilla extr\r
    1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened (do not use margarine)\r
    1 cup heavy whipping cream beaten to soft peak stage (can be seen here: )\r
    1 pastry pie crust (can be seen here: )\r
    whipped cream for topping\r

    Prepare your pie crust and blind bake it for 9-10 minutes at 350*. (Be sure to prick the crust to prevent it from rising). Set aside to cool completely.\r
    In a sauce pan, combine sugar and eggs over medium heat and cook until 160*, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add in cooled melted chocolate and vanilla. Set aside to cool for 1-2 hours.\r
    Put the butter into a large bowl and beat on high speed using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes). Add in cooled chocolate mixture and beat on high speed for 5 minutes, scraping sides of bowl down occasionally. Fold in whipped cream. Pour mixture into your pie crust and refrigerate at least 8 hours to set up. Decorate the top any way you choose using additional whipped cream.\r

  • Homemade Cake Doughnuts

    Heres how I made cake doughnuts. Ive used another recipe in the past and this one is far better. The buttermilk makes a big difference.\r

    Buttermilk Doughnuts\r

    2 eggs\r
    1 cup sugar\r
    2 1/2 tbsp. butter, melted\r
    1/2 tsp. vanilla\r
    2 3/4 cups all purpose flour\r
    1 tsp. baking powder\r
    1 tsp. baking soda\r
    1/2 tsp. salt\r
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg\r
    1 cup buttermilk\r
    Oil for frying\r
    \r
    For cinnamon powdered doughnuts:\r
    \r
    1 cup confectioners sugar\r
    2 tsp. cinnamon\r
    \r
    Mix together the confectioners sugar and cinnamon and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and lemon colored. Add butter and vanilla and mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Add to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/2 thickness. Cut with a floured doughnut cutter. Heat oil to 375 degrees. Fry doughnuts, a few at a time for 1 minute on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels. Roll in sugar if desired. Makes 2 dozen.
